< Dagiti Proverbio 7 >

1 Anakko, salimetmetam dagiti sasaok ken idulinmo dagiti bilbilinko iti kaunggam.
My son, keep my sayings, and, my commandments, treasure by thee;
2 Salimetmetam dagiti bilbilinko ket agbiagka ken salimetmetam ti pagannurotak a kas iti panagaywanmo iti bukelbukel dagiti matam.
Keep my commandments and live, and mine instruction, as the pupil of thine eye;
3 Igalutmo dagitoy kadagiti ramaymo; isuratmo dagitoy dita pusom.
Bind them upon thy fingers, write them, on the tablet of thy heart;
4 Kunaem iti kinasirib, “Sika ti kabsatko a babai,” ken awagam a kabagiam ti pannakaawat,
Say unto wisdom, My sister, thou! and, an acquaintance, call thou, understanding:
5 tapno maiyadayodaka iti manggargari a babai, manipud iti babai a makikamkamalala babaen iti nalamuyot a sasaona.
That thou mayest be kept, from the woman that is a stranger, from the female unknown, who, with her speeches, doth flatter.
6 Timman-awak manipud iti tawa ti balayko,
For, in the window of my house, through my lattice, I looked out;
7 ket nakitak ti adu nga agtutubo a lallaki a saan pay a nasuroan. Nakitak manipud kadagiti agtutubo ti maysa nga agtutubo a lalaki nga awan ammona.
And saw among the simple ones, discerned among the youths, A young man lacking sense;
8 Magmagna dayta nga agtutubo iti kalsada nga asideg iti balay ti babai nga adda iti nagsabatan ti kalsada, ket nagturong isuna iti balay ti babai-
Passing through the street, near her corner, and, on the way to her house, he sauntered along;
9 sumipnget idi, sardam, iti karabianna ken nasipnget.
In the twilight, in the evening of the day, in the midst of the night, and the gloom;
10 Ket adda babai a nangsabat kenkuana sadiay, nakakawes a kas iti maysa a balangkantis, ken ammo ti babai no apay nga adda isuna sadiay.
And lo! a woman, came to meet him, attired as one unchaste, of a wily heart.
11 Naariwawa ken nasukir isuna, saan nga agtaltalinaed dagiti sakana iti pagtaengan-
Boisterous, is she, and rebellious, In her house, abide not her feet;
12 ita ket adda kadagiti kalsada, damdama ket adda iti pagtagilakuan, agpadpadaan isuna iti amin a suli.
Now outside, now in the broadways, and, near every corner, she lieth in wait:
13 Ginammatanna ngarud ti agtutubo sana inungngoan, ket napuskol ti rupana a kinunana kenkuana,
So she caught him, and kissed him, and, embolding her face, she said to him:
14 “Nangidatagak iti daton a pakikappia ita nga aldaw, binayadakon dagiti karik,
Peace-offerings, are by me, to-day, have I paid my vows;
15 isu a rimmuarak a makisinnarak kenka, a sigagagar a mangsapul kenka, ket nasarakankan.
For this cause, came I forth to meet thee, to seek diligently thy face, and I have found thee:
16 Inap-apak ti pagiddaak, kadagiti de kolor a lino manipud Egipto.
Coverlets, have I spread on my couch of pleasure, dark-hued stuffs, of the yarn of Egypt;
17 Binangbangloak ti pagiddaak iti mirra, aloe ken kanela.
I have sprinkled my bed, with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon:
18 Umayka, agpennekta iti ragsak inggana no bigat; agragsakta iti kasta unay iti nadumaduma a kita ti panagkaidda.
Come! let us take our fill of endearments, until morning, let us delight ourselves with caresses;
19 Awan ti asawak idiay balay; nagdaliasat isuna iti adayo.
For the husband is not in his house, he hath gone on a journey afar;
20 Nangitugot isuna iti sangasupot a kuarta; agsublinto isuna iti aldaw ti kabus.”
A bag of silver, hath he taken in his hand, On the day of the full moon, will he enter his house.
21 Inallukoyna ti agtutubo gapu iti makagargari a panagsasaona, ken naallukoyna isuna babaen iti nalamuyot a panagsasaona.
She turneth him aside, with her great persuasiveness, —with the flattery of her lips, she compelleth him:
22 Simmurot ti lalaki iti babai a kas iti maysa a kalakian a baka a maipan iti pagpartian, wenno kas iti maysa nga ugsa a napalab-ogan,
Going after her instantly, as an ox, to the slaughter, he entereth, and, as in fetters, unto the correction of a fool.
23 agingga nga adda pana a simmalput iti dalemna- wenno kas iti billit nga agdardaras nga agturong iti silo, saanna nga ammo a kasukat daytoy ti biagna.
Until an arrow cleaveth his liver, as a bird hasteth into a snare, and knoweth not, that, for his life, it is!
24 Ket ita, annakko, denggendak; ipangagyo ti ibagbagak.
Now, therefore, ye sons, hearken unto me, and attend, to the sayings of my mouth;
25 Saan koma a maibaw-ing ti pusoyo kadagiti aramidna; saankayo a paiyaw-awan kadagiti dalanna.
Let not thy heart, turn aside to her ways, Do not go astray, in her paths.
26 Adun ti dinadaelna a biktima; saandan a mabilang.
For, many, wounded, hath she caused to fall, —yea strong men, slain wholly by her:
27 Ti balayna ket adda iti dalan nga agturong iti sheol; agpababa daytoy kadagiti siled ti patay. (Sheol h7585)
Ways to hades, are in her house, descending into the chambers of death. (Sheol h7585)
