< Dagiti Proverbio 21 >

1 Ti puso ti ari ket kasla maysa a waig iti ima ni Yahweh; iturturongna ti danum iti sadinoman a kayatna.
The king’s heart is in the LORD’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires.
2 Amin nga aramid ti maysa a tao ket kasla nalinteg iti bukodna a panagkita, ngem ni Yahweh ti mangtimtimbang iti puso.
Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the LORD weighs the hearts.
3 Ti panagaramid iti umno ken nalinteg ket ad-adda a pakaay-ayoan ni Yahweh ngem iti daton.
To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.
4 Ti kinatangsit ken kinapalangguad-nga arigna a silaw ti nadangkes-ket basol.
A high look and a proud heart, the lamp of the wicked, is sin.
5 Dagiti panggep ti nagaget ket agturong laeng iti kinarang-ay, ngem tunggal maysa nga agdarasudos ket agturong laeng iti kinakurapay.
The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty.
6 Ti pananggun-od kadagiti kinabaknang babaen iti ulbod a dila ket kasla angep nga agpukaw a dagus ken silo a makapatay.
Getting treasures by a lying tongue is a fleeting vapor for those who seek death.
7 Ti kinaranggas dagiti nadangkes ti kasla mangiyanudto kadakuada, ta agkedkedda nga agaramid iti nalinteg.
The violence of the wicked will drive them away, because they refuse to do what is right.
8 Nakillo ti dalan ti nakabasol a tao, ngem agar-aramid iti nalinteg ti nadalus a tao.
The way of the guilty is devious, but the conduct of the innocent is upright.
9 Nasaysayaat ti agnaed iti maysa a suli iti tuktok ti balay ngem iti uneg ti balay a kadenna ti mannakiapa nga asawa a babai.
It is better to dwell in the corner of the housetop than to share a house with a contentious woman.
10 Agtarigagay iti dakes ti nadangkes; awan makita ti kaarrubana a kinaimbag kadagiti matana.
The soul of the wicked desires evil; his neighbor finds no mercy in his eyes.
11 Inton madusa ti mananglais, agbalin a masirib ti nengneng, ken inton masuroan ti masirib a tao, umad-adu pay ti pannakaammona.
When the mocker is punished, the simple gains wisdom. When the wise is instructed, he receives knowledge.
12 Kitkitaen ti tao nga agar-aramid iti nalinteg ti balay ti nadangkes, dadaelenna ti nadangkes.
The Righteous One considers the house of the wicked, and brings the wicked to ruin.
13 Ti tao a saan a mangipangag iti asug dagiti nakurapay a tattao, inton agasug met isuna, saanto met isuna a maipangag.
Whoever stops his ears at the cry of the poor, he will also cry out, but shall not be heard.
14 Ti maysa a sagut ket pabaawenna ti unget, ken ti maysa a sagut ket ikkatenna ti nakaro a pungtot.
A gift in secret pacifies anger, and a bribe in the cloak, strong wrath.
15 No naipatungpal ti hustisia, mangiyeg daytoy iti rag-o iti tao a nagaramid iti nalinteg, ngem mangiyeg daytoy iti panagbuteng kadagiti agar-aramid iti kinadakes.
It is joy to the righteous to do justice; but it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity.
16 Ti tao a naiyaw-awan manipud iti pannakaawat, aginananto isuna iti taripnong dagiti natay.
The man who wanders out of the way of understanding shall rest in the assembly of the departed spirits.
17 Agbalinto a nakurapay ti siasinoman a mangay-ayat iti ragragsak; saanto a bumaknang ti tao mangay-ayat iti arak ken lana.
He who loves pleasure will be a poor man. He who loves wine and oil won’t be rich.
18 Ti nadangkes a tao ket agbalinto a subbot ti agar-aramid iti nalinteg, ken ti mangliliput ket agbalinto a subbot ti nalinteg.
The wicked is a ransom for the righteous, the treacherous for the upright.
19 Nasaysayaat ti agnaed iti let-ang ngem ti makikadua iti babai a mangparparnuay iti riri ken nareklamo unay.
It is better to dwell in a desert land, than with a contentious and fretful woman.
20 Ti napateg a gameng ken lana ket adda iti balay ti nasirib, ngem pasaysayangen dagitoy ti maag a tao.
There is precious treasure and oil in the dwelling of the wise, but a foolish man swallows it up.
21 Ti tao nga agar-aramid iti nalinteg ken naimbag-ket makasarak iti biag, kinalinteg, ken dayaw.
He who follows after righteousness and kindness finds life, righteousness, and honor.
22 Rauten ti nasirib a tao ti siudad dagiti nabileg, ket rebbaenna ti sarikedked a nangsalaknib iti daytoy.
A wise man scales the city of the mighty, and brings down the strength of its confidence.
23 Ti siasinoman nga agannad kadagiti ibagbagana ket ilislisina ti bagina iti riribuk.
Whoever guards his mouth and his tongue keeps his soul from troubles.
24 Ti napalangguad ken natangsit a tao-”mananglais” ti naganna-agtigtignay nga addaan iti nakaro kinapannakkel.
The proud and arrogant man—“Scoffer” is his name— he works in the arrogance of pride.
25 Ti tarigagay ti sadut ti mangpatay kenkuana, ta agkedked dagiti imana nga agtrabaho.
The desire of the sluggard kills him, for his hands refuse to labor.
26 Agmalmalem nga agkalkalikagum isuna, ngem ti tao nga agar-aramid iti nalinteg ket mangmangted ken saanna nga ibabawi.
There are those who covet greedily all day long; but the righteous give and don’t withhold.
27 Makarimon ti daton ti nadangkes a tao; ad-adda pay a makarimon no iyegna daytoy a buyoganna kadagiti dakes a panggep.
The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination— how much more, when he brings it with a wicked mind!
28 Mapukaw ti ulbod a saksi, ngem ti tao a mangipangpangag ket agsao iti amin a tiempo.
A false witness will perish. A man who listens speaks to eternity.
29 Agpampammarang a napigsa ti nadangkes a tao, ngem ti tao a nalinteg ket naannad maipapan kadagiti tignayna.
A wicked man hardens his face; but as for the upright, he establishes his ways.
30 Awan kinasirib, pannakaawat, wenno balakad a maikontra kenni Yahweh.
There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.
31 Maisagsagana ti kabalio para iti aldaw ti gubat, ngem ni Yahweh ti makinkukua iti balligi.
The horse is prepared for the day of battle; but victory is with the LORD.
