< Juan 11 >

1 Ita, ti lalaki a managan Lazaro ket masakit. Nagtaud isuna idiay Betania, ti purok ni Maria ken ti kabsatna a Marta.
Now a certain man was sick, Lazarus from Bethany, of the village of Mary and her sister, Martha.
2 Isu met laeng ti Maria a mangibukbok iti mira iti saka ni Jesus ken mangpunas iti sakana babaen iti buokna, a ti kabsatda a Lazaro ket masakit.
It was that Mary who had anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother, Lazarus, was sick.
3 Nangipatulod dagiti agkabsat a babbai iti mensahe ken ni Jesus a kinunada, “Apo, kitaem, ti ay-ayatem ket masakit.”
The sisters therefore sent to him, saying, "Lord, look, the one you love is sick."
4 Idi nangngeg ni Jesus daytoy, kinunana, “Daytoy a sakit ket saan nga agtungpal iti ipapatay, ngem ketdi maipaay iti pakaidayawan ti Dios tapno ti Anak ti Dios ket mapadayawan babaen iti daytoy.”
But when Jesus heard it, he said, "This sickness is not to death, but for the glory of God, that God's Son may be glorified by it."
5 Ita, ay-ayaten ni Jesus ni Marta ken ti kabsatna a babai ken ni Lazaro.
Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.
6 Idi nangngegna a masakit ni Lazaro, nagtalinaed ni Jesus iti dua pay nga aldaw iti lugar nga ayanna.
When therefore he heard that he was sick, he stayed two days in the place where he was.
7 Ket kalpasan daytoy, kinunana kadagiti adalan, “Intayo manen idiay Judea.”
Then after this he said to the disciples, "Let us go into Judea again."
8 Kinuna dagiti adalan kenkuana, “Rabbi, kaano laeng ket kayatdaka nga uboren dagiti Judio, ket agsublika manen idiay?”
The disciples told him, "Rabbi, the Jewish leaders were just trying to stone you, and are you going there again?"
9 Simmungbat ni Jesus, “Saan kadi nga adda sangapulo ket dua nga oras iti maysa nga aldaw? No ti maysa a tao ket magna iti aldaw, saan a maitublak isuna, gapu ta makakita isuna babaen iti lawag ti aldaw.”
Jesus answered, "Are there not twelve hours of daylight? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world.
10 Nupay kasta, no magna isuna iti rabii, maitublak isuna gapu ta awan lawag kenkuana.”
But if anyone walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him."
11 Imbaga ni Jesus dagitoy a banbanag, ken kalpasan dagitoy a banbanag, kinunana kadakuada, “Ti gayyem tayo a ni Lazaro ket nakaturog, ngem mapanak ta mapanko riingen manipud iti pannaturogna.”
He said these things, and after that, he said to them, "Our friend, Lazarus, has fallen asleep, but I am going so that I may awake him out of sleep."
12 Kinuna ngarud dagiti adalan kenkuana, “Apo, no nakaturog isuna ket umimbag.”
Then the disciples said to him, "Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will recover."
13 Ita nagsao ni Jesus iti maipanggep iti ipapatay ni Lazaro, ngem ti ammoda ket agsasao isuna iti maipanggep iti panaginana iti pannaturog.
Now Jesus had spoken of his death, but they thought that he spoke of taking rest in sleep.
14 Ket kinuna ni Jesus kadakuada a nalawag, “Natay ni Lazaro.”
So Jesus said to them plainly then, "Lazarus is dead.
15 “Maragsakanak, maigapu kadakayo, nga awanak idiay tapno mamatikayo. Mapantayo kenkuana.”
I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, so that you may believe. Nevertheless, let us go to him."
16 Ni Tomas a maawagan Didimo ket kinunana kadagiti padana nga adalan, “Mapantayo met tapno mataytayo a kadua ni Jesus.”
Thomas therefore, who is called Didymus, said to his fellow disciples, "Let us go also, that we may die with him."
17 Idi immay ni Jesus, natakuatanna nga uppat nga aldawen ti kaadda ni Lazaro iti tanem.
So when Jesus came, he found that he had been in the tomb four days already.
18 Ita agarup sangapulo ket lima nga estadio ti kaadayo ti Betania idiay Jerusalem.
Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, about two miles away.
19 Adu kadagiti Judio ti immay kada Marta ken ni Maria, tapno liwliwaenda isuda maipanggep iti kabsatda a lalaki.
Many of the Jewish people had come to Martha and Mary, to console them concerning their brother.
20 Idi nangngeg ni Marta nga um-umay ni Jesus, napan ket sinabatna isuna, ngem ni Maria ket nakatugaw latta iti balay.
Then when Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went and met him, but Mary stayed in the house.
21 Ket kinuna ni Marta ken ni Jesus, “Apo, no addaka koma idi ditoy, saan koma a natay ti kabsatko.
Therefore Martha said to Jesus, "Lord, if you would have been here, my brother would not have died.
22 Uray ita, ammok nga aniaman a dawatem iti Dios, itedna kenka.”
Even now I know that whatever you ask of God, God will give you."
23 Kinuna ni Jesus kenkuana, “Agungar ti kabsatmo.”
Jesus said to her, "Your brother will rise again."
24 Kinuna ni Marta kenkuana, “Ammok a bumangunto isuna inton panagungar iti maudi nga aldaw.”
Martha said to him, "I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day."
25 Kinuna ni Jesus kenkuana, “Siak ti panagungar ken ti biag; ti mamati kaniak, uray matay, agbiagto,
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies.
26 ken siasinoman nga agbiag ken mamati kaniak ket saanto pulos a matay. Patiem daytoy?” (aiōn g165)
And whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?" (aiōn g165)
27 Kinunana kenkuana, “Wen, Apo, mamatiak a sika ti Kristo, ti Anak ti Dios, ti maysa nga umay iti lubong.”
She said to him, "Yes, Lord. I have come to believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, he who comes into the world."
28 Idi naibagana daytoy, pimmanaw isuna ket inayabanna iti nalimed ni Maria a kabsatna. Kinunana, “Adda ti Mannursuro ditoy ket papaayabannaka.”
And when she had said this, she went away, and called Mary, her sister, secretly, saying, "The Teacher is here, and is calling you."
29 Idi nangngeg ni Maria daytoy, dagus a timmakder ket napan ken Jesus.
When she heard this, she arose quickly, and went to him.
30 Ita saan pay laeng a nakadanon ni Jesus iti purok ngem adda paylaeng iti lugar a nangsabatan ni Marta kenkuana.
Now Jesus had not yet come into the village, but was still in the place where Martha met him.
31 Ket dagiti Judio a kadua ni Maria iti balay a mangliwliwa kenkuana, idi nakitada a dagus a timmakder isuna ket rimuar, sinurotda isuna; ipagarupda nga amangan no mapan iti tanem tapno agsangit sadiay.
Then the Judeans who were with her in the house, and were consoling her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up quickly and went out, followed her, supposing that she was going to the tomb to weep there.
32 Ket ni Maria, idi immay isuna iti ayan ni Jesus ket nakitana isuna, nagparintumeng iti sakaananna ket kinunana kenkuana, “Apo, no addaka koma idi ditoy, saan koma a natay ti kabsatko.”
Therefore when Mary came to where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying to him, "Lord, if you would have been here, my brother would not have died."
33 Idi nakita ni Jesus isuna nga agsangsangit, ken dagiti Judio a nakiumay kenkuana ket agsangsangit, nagsennaay isuna iti espiritu ken nariribukan;
When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Judeans weeping who came with her, he was deeply moved in spirit and was troubled,
34 kinunana, “Sadino ti nangitanemanyo kenkuana?” Kinunada kenkuana, “Apo, umayka ket kitaem.”
and said, "Where have you put him?" They told him, "Lord, come and see."
35 Nagsangit ni Jesus.
Jesus wept.
36 Ket kinuna dagiti Judio, “Kitaenyo no kasano ti panagayatna ken ni Lazaro!”
The Judeans therefore said, "See how he loved him."
37 Ngem dadduma kadakuada ti nagkuna, “Saan kadi a nabaelan daytoy a tao, a nanglukat iti mata ti maysa a bulsek, mabalinanna met nga aramiden a daytoy a lalaki ket saan a matay?”
But some of them said, "Could not this man, who opened the eyes of him who was blind, have also kept this man from dying?"
38 Ket ni Jesus, kabayatan nga agsensennaay manen, napan iti tanem. Ita ket maysa a rukib, ken adda bato a naipasanggir iti daytoy.
So Jesus, deeply moved again, came to the tomb. Now it was a cave, and a stone lay against it.
39 Kinuna ni Jesus, “Ikkatenyo ti bato.” Ni Marta a kabsat ti natay a ni Lazaro, ket nagkuna ken ni Jesus, “Apo, kadagitoy a kanito ti bagi ket agruprupsan ta uppat nga aldawen a natay.”
Jesus said, "Take away the stone." Martha, the sister of the dead man, said to him, "Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days."
40 Kinuna ni Jesus kenkuana, “Saan kadi nga imbagak kenka a no mamatika, makitam ti dayag ti Dios?”
Jesus said to her, "Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see God's glory?"
41 Isu nga inikkatda ti bato. Intangadna ti panagkitana ket kinunana, “Ama, agyamanak kenka ta dinengngegnak.
So they took away the stone. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, "Father, I thank you that you listened to me.
42 Ammok a kanayonnak a dengdenggen, ngem gapu kadagitoy adu a tattao nga agtaktakder iti aglikmutko nga kinunak daytoy, tapno mamatida koma nga imbaonnak.”
I know that you always listen to me, but because of the crowd that stands around I said this, that they may believe that you sent me."
43 Kalpasan a naibagana daytoy, nagpukkaw babaen iti napigsa a timek, “Lazaro, rumuarka!”
When he had said this, he shouted with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come out."
44 Rimuar ti natay a lalaki, naputipotan/nabaredbedan ti ima ken sakana iti luplupot a mausar iti natay, ken naputipotan/nabaredbedan ti rupana iti lupot. Kinuna ni Jesus kadakuada, “Warwaranyo ket bay-anyo isuna a mapan.”
The man who had died came out, bound hand and foot with wrappings, and his face was wrapped around with a cloth. Jesus said to them, "Free him, and let him go."
45 Ket adu kadagiti Judio a nakikuyog ken ni Maria ti nakakita iti inaramid ni Jesus, namatida kenkuana;
Therefore many of the Judeans, who came to Mary and had seen the things which he did, believed in him.
46 ngem dadduma kadakuada ti pimmanaw a napan kadagiti Pariseo ket imbagada kadakuada dagiti banbanag nga inaramid ni Jesus.
But some of them went away to the Pharisees, and told them the things which Jesus had done.
47 Ket inummong dagiti panguloen a papadi ken dagiti Pariseo ti konseho ket kinunada, “Ania ti aramidentayo? Daytoy a tao ket mangar-aramid iti adu a pagilasinan.
The chief priests therefore and the Pharisees gathered a council, and said, "What are we doing? For this man does many signs.
48 No baybay-antayo isuna a kasta, adu dagiti mamati kenkuana, umayto dagiti Romano ket alaenda dagiti lugar ken ti nasiontayo.”
If we leave him alone like this, everyone will believe in him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and our nation."
49 Nupay kasta, maysa a tao a managan Caifas, a nangato a padi iti dayta a tawen, kinunana kadakuada, “Awan pulos ammoyo.
But a certain one of them, Caiaphas, being high priest that year, said to them, "You know nothing at all,
50 Saanyo a mapanunot a nasay-sayaat para kadakayo a matay ti maysa a tao maipaay kadagiti tattao ngem mapukaw ti entero a nasion.”
nor do you consider that it is advantageous for you that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation not perish."
51 Ita, saanna daytoy nga imbaga iti bukbukodna, ngem ketdi, kas nangato a padi iti dayta a tawen, impadtona a masapul a matay ni Jesus maipaay iti nasion;
Now he did not say this of himself, but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation,
52 ken saan laeng a maipaay iti nasion, ngem tapno mabalin nga urnungen ni Jesus dagiti annak ti Dios a naiwaras iti naduma-duma a lugar.
and not for the nation only, but that he might also gather together into one the children of God who are scattered abroad.
53 Isu nga manipud idin pinaggepdan/naplanodan no kasano ti panangpatayda ken ni Jesus.
So from that day on they plotted to kill him.
54 Saanen a nakipagna ni Jesus a nawaya kadagiti Judio, ngem pimmanaw idiay ket napan iti away iti asideg ti let-ang iti ili nga Efraim, nagian ni Jesus idiay a kaduana dagiti adalanna.
Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Judeans, but departed from there into the country near the wilderness, to a city called Ephraim; and stayed there with his disciples.
55 Idi asidegen ti Ilalabas, adu a tattao ti simmang-at idiay Jerusalem manipud iti away sakbay ti Ilalabas tapno mapasin-aw dagiti bagbagida.
Now the Jewish Passover was near, and many went up from the country to Jerusalem before the Passover, to purify themselves.
56 Sapsapulenda ni Jesus, ket kunkunada iti tunggal maysa idi agtaktakderda iti templo, “Ania ti panagkunayo? Saan ngata nga umay iti fiesta?”
Then they sought for Jesus and spoke one with another, as they stood in the temple, "What do you think—that he is not coming to the feast at all?"
57 Ita nangited iti bilin dagiti panguloen a papadi ken dagiti Pariseo a no adda makaammo no sadino ti ayan ni Jesus, masapul nga ipakaammona kadakuada tapno tiliwenda/kimmegenda isuna.
Now the chief priests and the Pharisees had given orders that if anyone knew where he was, he should report it, that they might arrest him.
