< Job 23 >

1 Kalpasanna simmungbat ni Job ket kinunana,
Then Job answered and said,
2 “Uray ita nga aldaw nasaem ti dayengdengko; nadagdagsen ti panagsagsagabak ngem ti panagas-asugko.
Even to day is my complaint bitter: my stroke is heavier than my groaning.
3 O, nga ammok koma ti pakasarakak kenkuana! O, a mapanak koma iti ayanna!
Oh that I knew where I might find him! that I might come even to his seat!
4 Idatagkonto a siuurnos ti kasasaadko iti sangoananna ken punnoekto ti ngiwatko kadagiti pannakisinnuppiat.
I would order my cause before him, and fill my mouth with arguments.
5 Adalekto dagiti sasao nga isungbatna kaniak ken awatekto no ania ti ibagana kaniak.
I would know the words which he would answer me, and understand what he would say unto me.
6 Makisinnuppiatto kadi isuna kaniak iti kinaindaklan ti pannakabalinna? Saan, ipangagnakto.
Will he plead against me with his great power? No; but he would put strength in me.
7 Mabalin a makisinnupiat kenkuana sadiay ti nalinteg a tao. Iti kastoy a wagas, mapakawanakto iti agnanayon babaen ti ukomko.
There the righteous might dispute with him; so should I be delivered for ever from my judge.
8 Kitaenyo, agpadayaak, ngem awan isuna sadiay, ken agpalaudak, ngem saanko a madlaw isuna.
Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him:
9 Iti amianan, a pagub-ubraanna, ngem saanko isuna a makita, ken iti abagatan, a paglemlemmenganna tapno saanko isuna a makita.
On the left hand, where he does work, but I cannot behold him: he hides himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him:
10 Ngem ammona ti dalan a papanak; inton nasuotnakun, rummuarakto a kasla balitok.
But he knows the way that I take: when he has tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
11 Sumursurot a naan-anay ti sakak kadagiti addangna; sinalimetmetak ti dalanna ken saanak a simmiasi.
My foot has held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined.
12 Saanak a nagsukir kadagiti bilin dagiti bibigna; indulinko dagiti sasao ti ngiwatna ditoy pusok.
Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.
13 Ngem naidumduma isuna, siasino ti makapabaw-ing kenkuana? No ania dagiti tartarigagayanna, aramidenna.
But he is in one mind, and who can turn him? and what his soul desires, even that he does.
14 Ta ipatpatungpalna ti bilinna a maibusor kaniak; adu ti kasla kadagitoy.
For he performs the thing that is appointed for me: and many such things are with him.
15 Ngarud, mabutengak iti presensiana; no panpanunotek isuna, mabutbutengak kenkuana.
Therefore am I troubled at his presence: when I consider, I am afraid of him.
16 Ta pinakapuy ti Dios ti pusok; pinagbutengnak ti Mannakabalin-amin.
For God makes my heart soft, and the Almighty troubles me:
17 Saan a ti sipnget ti nakadadaelak, wenno ti nakaro a kinasipnget ti nangabbong iti rupak.
Because I was not cut off before the darkness, neither has he covered the darkness from my face.
