< Isaias 44 >

1 Ita dumngegka, Jacob nga adipenko, ken Israel, a pinilik:
Yet listen now, Jacob my servant, and Israel, whom I have chosen.
2 Kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh, a nangaramid kenka ken nangbukel kenka iti aanakan ken ti mangtulongto kenka: “Saanka nga agdanag, Jacob nga adipenko; ken sika, Jeshurun, a pinilik.
This is what the LORD who made you, and formed you from the womb, who will help you says: “Do not be afraid, Jacob my servant; and you, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen.
3 Ta ibukbukkonto ti danum iti rabaw ti mawaw a daga, ken pagayusekto dagiti waig iti natikag a daga; Ibukbukkonto ti Espirituk kadagiti kaputotam, ken ti bendisionko kadagiti annakmo.
For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and streams on the dry ground. I will pour my Spirit on your descendants, and my blessing on your offspring;
4 Agrusingdanto iti karuotan, a kas kadagiti lidda nga adda kadagiti igid ti waig.
and they will spring up among the grass, as willows by the watercourses.
5 Addanto mangibaga, 'Kukuanak ni Yahweh;' ken ti sabali ket mapanagananto iti nagan ni Jacob; ken suratanto ti sabali ti imana iti 'Maibilang kenni Yahweh' ket maawagan iti nagan ti Israel.”
One will say, ‘I am the LORD’s.’ Another will be called by the name of Jacob; and another will write with his hand ‘to the LORD,’ and honor the name of Israel.”
6 Kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh—ti Ari ti Israel ken ti Mannubbotna, ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin: “Siak ti immuna, ken ti maudi; ket awanen iti sabali pay a Dios no di Siak laeng.
This is what the LORD, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, the LORD of Armies, says: “I am the first, and I am the last; and besides me there is no God.
7 Siasino ti kas kaniak? Ibagana ngarud daytoy ken ipalawagna kaniak dagiti napaspasamak manipud pay idi pinarsuak dagiti immuna a tattaok, ken ibagada koma ngarud dagiti mapasamak iti masakbayan.
Who is like me? Who will call, and will declare it, and set it in order for me, since I established the ancient people? Let them declare the things that are coming, and that will happen.
8 Saanka nga agdanag wenno agbuteng. Saan kadi nga imbagakon kenka idi, ken impakaammokon daytoy? Sika ti saksik: Adda kadi pay Dios malaksid kaniak? Awanen ti sabali pay a Bato; awan ti ammok a sabali pay.”
Do not fear, neither be afraid. Have not I declared it to you long ago, and shown it? You are my witnesses. Is there a God besides me? Indeed, there is not. I do not know any other Rock.”
9 Amin nga agar-aramid kadagiti didiosen ket awan serserbina; dagiti banbanag a pagragragsakanda ket awan serserbina; saan a makakita dagiti saksida ken awan ti maammoanda, ken maibabaindanto.
Everyone who makes a carved image is vain. The things that they delight in will not profit. Their own witnesses do not see, nor know, that they may be disappointed.
10 Siasino ti makaaramid iti maysa a didiosen wenno mangsukog iti didiosen nga awan serserbina?
Who has fashioned a god, or molds an image that is profitable for nothing?
11 Kitaem, dagiti amin a katulonganna ket maibabainto; dagiti agkitkitikit ket tattao laeng. Umayda koma a sangsangkamaysa; agbuteng ken maibabaindanto.
Behold, all his fellows will be disappointed; and the workmen are mere men. Let them all be gathered together. Let them stand up. They will fear. They will be put to shame together.
12 Agtrabtrabaho ti mammanday babaen kadagiti rimientana, suksukogenna daytoy, aramidenna daytoy kadagiti beggang. Suksukogenna daytoy babaen iti martiliona ken ar-aramidenna daytoy babaen iti napigsa a takiagna. Mabisin ken mabannog isuna; saan nga uminom iti danum ket matalimudaw.
The blacksmith takes an ax, works in the coals, fashions it with hammers, and works it with his strong arm. He is hungry, and his strength fails; he drinks no water, and is faint.
13 Rukoden ti karpentero ti kayo babaen iti maysa a linia, sana markaan daytoy babaen iti maysa a tisa. Kitikitanna daytoy babaen kadagiti rimientana sana markaan daytoy babaen iti kompas. Kitikitanna daytoy a maiyasping iti imahe ti maysa a tao, a kasla makaay-ayo a tao, tapno maikabil daytoy iti maysa a disso a pagdaydayawan.
The carpenter stretches out a line. He marks it out with a pencil. He shapes it with planes. He marks it out with compasses, and shapes it like the figure of a man, with the beauty of a man, to reside in a house.
14 Mangpukan isuna kadagiti kayo a sedro, wenno mangpili isuna iti maysa a kayo ti lugo wenno maysa a parwa a kayo. Mangal-ala isuna iti kayo idiay kabakiran. Agmulmula isuna iti maysa a kayo a laurel ket ti tudo ti mangpatubo iti daytoy.
He cuts down cedars for himself, and takes the cypress and the oak, and strengthens for himself one among the trees of the forest. He plants a cypress tree, and the rain nourishes it.
15 Kalpasanna, aramaten daytoy ti maysa a tao a pagsungrod ken paginudoanna. Wen, mangpasged isuna iti apuy sana pagilutoan iti tinapay. Kalpasanna, mangaramid isuna manipud iti daytoy iti maysa a didiosen sa agrukbab iti daytoy; mangaramid isuna iti maysa a didiosen sa agrukbab daytoy.
Then it will be for a man to burn; and he takes some of it and warms himself. Yes, he burns it and bakes bread. Yes, he makes a god and worships it; he makes it a carved image, and falls down to it.
16 Isungrodna ti sabali a paset ti kayo, itunona iti daytoy ti karnena. Mangan isuna ket mapnek. Aginudo ket kunaenna, “A, nabaraanak, nakitak ti apuy.”
He burns part of it in the fire. With part of it, he eats meat. He roasts a roast and is satisfied. Yes, he warms himself and says, “Aha! I am warm. I have seen the fire.”
17 Iti nabatbati a paset ti kayo agaramid isuna iti didiosen, ti nakitikitan nga imahena; agrukbab isuna iti daytoy sana raemen, ken pagkararaganna daytoy a kunana, “Isalakannak, ta sika ti diosko.”
The rest of it he makes into a god, even his engraved image. He bows down to it and worships, and prays to it, and says, “Deliver me, for you are my god!”
18 Saanda nga ammo, wenno maawatan, gapu ta bulsekda ken saanda a makakita, ken saan a makarikna dagiti pusoda.
They do not know, neither do they consider, for he has shut their eyes, that they cannot see, and their hearts, that they cannot understand.
19 Awan ti mangpanpanunot, wenno mangam-amiris a kunaenna, “Pinuorak dagiti dadduma a paset ti kayo; wen, nagilutoak pay iti tinapay kadagiti beggangna. Nagitunoak iti karne kadagiti beggangna ket nanganak. Ita, rumbeng kadi nga aramidek dagiti dadduma a paset ti kayo iti maysa a banag a saan nga umno a pagdayawan? Rumbeng kadi nga agrukbabak iti maysa a kayo?”
No one thinks, neither is there knowledge nor understanding to say, “I have burned part of it in the fire. Yes, I have also baked bread on its coals. I have roasted meat and eaten it. Shall I make the rest of it into an abomination? Shall I bow down to a tree trunk?”
20 Arigna a mangmangan isuna iti dapo; iyaw-awan isuna ti naallilaw a pusona. Saanna a maisalakan ti baginna, wenno maibagana la koma, “Daytoy a banag nga adda iti makannawan nga imak ket palso a dios.”
He feeds on ashes. A deceived heart has turned him aside; and he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, “Is not there a lie in my right hand?”
21 Panunotenyo dagitoy a banbanag, Jacob ken Israel, gapu ta dakayo ket adipenko: Inaramidkayo; dakayo ket adipenko: Israel, saanka a malipatan.
Remember these things, Jacob and Israel, for you are my servant. I have formed you. You are my servant. Israel, you will not be forgotten by me.
22 Inikkatko, a kasla maysa a napuskol nga ulep dagiti panagrebrebeldeyo, ken kasla maysa nga ulep, dagiti basbasolyo; agsublikayo kaniak, gapu ta sinubotkayo.
I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, your transgressions, and, as a cloud, your sins. Return to me, for I have redeemed you.
23 Agkantakayo, dakayo a langlangit, gapu ta nagtignay ni Yahweh; agpukkawka, sika nga uneg ti daga; Ipigsayo ti agkanta, dakayo a banbantay, ken dakayo a kabakiran agraman ti tunggal kayo; gapu ta sinubbot ni Yahweh ni Jacob, ken ipakitananto ti dayagna idiay Israel.
Sing, you heavens, for the LORD has done it! Shout, you lower parts of the earth! Break out into singing, you mountains, O forest, all of your trees, for the LORD has redeemed Jacob, and will glorify himself in Israel.
24 Kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh, a Mannubbotyo, a nangbukel kadakayo manipud iti aanakan: “Siak ni Yahweh, a nangaramid iti amin a banag, ti maymaysa a nangiyukrad iti langit, ti maymaysa a nangaramid iti daga.
The LORD, your Redeemer, and he who formed you from the womb says: “I am the LORD, who makes all things; who alone stretches out the heavens; who spreads out the earth by myself;
25 Siak a mangdadael kadagiti pagilaslasinan dagiti ulbod ken mangibabain kadagiti mammuyon; Siak a mangpakpakuneng iti masirib ken mangar-aramid a minamaag dagiti balakadda.
who frustrates the signs of the liars, and makes diviners mad; who turns wise men backward, and makes their knowledge foolish;
26 Siak, a ni Yahweh! —a mangtungtungpal kadagiti imbaga ti adipenna ken mangipatpatungpal kadagiti balakad dagiti mensaherona, a mangibagbaga iti Jerusalem, 'Isunanto ti pagnaedanda;' ken kadagiti siudad ti Juda, 'Maipasdekdanto manen, ken tarimaanekto dagiti nadadael a dissona'—
who confirms the word of his servant, and performs the counsel of his messengers; who says of Jerusalem, ‘She will be inhabited;’ and of the cities of Judah, ‘They will be built,’ and ‘I will raise up its waste places;’
27 a mangibagbaga iti uneg ti baybay, 'Mamagaanka, ken pagmagaekto dagiti dalluyonmo'—
who says to the deep, ‘Be dry,’ and ‘I will dry up your rivers,’
28 A mangibagbaga maipanggep kenni Ciro, 'Isuna ti pastorko, aramidennanto dagiti amin a dawatek'—mangipaulogto iti ibiln a maipanggep iti Jerusalem, 'Maibangon manen daytoy,' ken maipanggep iti templo, 'Maipasdek manen dagiti pundasionna.'”
who says of Cyrus, ‘He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure,’ even saying of Jerusalem, ‘She will be built;’ and of the temple, ‘Your foundation will be laid.’”
