< Isaias 3 >

1 Wen, ti Apo a ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin, ket dandaninan nga ipanaw ti tulong ken sarukod manipud iti Jerusalem ken Juda: ti sibubukel nga abasto ti tinapay, ken ti sibubukel nga abasto ti danum;
For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water,
2 dagiti nabileg a lallaki, dagiti mannakigubat, dagiti ukom, dagiti profeta, dagiti mammuyon, ti panglakayen;
The mighty man, and the man of war, the judge, and the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient,
3 dagiti kapitan iti limapulo a soldado, dagiti mararaem nga umili, dagiti mammagbaga, dagiti nalaing nga agar-aramid kadagiti banbanag, ken dagiti nalaing a salamangkero.
The captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor, and the cunning artificer, and the eloquent orator.
4 ”Mangikabilakto kadagiti agtutubo laeng a kas panguloda, ket iturayan ida dagiti ubbing.
And I will give children [to be] their princes, and babes shall rule over them.
5 Agpipinnarigatto dagiti tattao, ken kasta met dagiti agkakaarruba; sitatangsitto a suppiatento dagiti ubbing dagiti nataengan, ken karitento dagiti naibabain dagiti mararaem.
And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable.
6 Tenglento pay ti lalaki ti kabsatna a lalaki iti balay ni amana ket kunana, 'Adda kagaymo; sika koma ti mangituray kadakami ket makaammoka koma iti daytoy a nadadael.'
When a man shall take hold of his brother of the house of his father, [saying], Thou hast clothing, be thou our ruler, and [let] this ruin [be] under thy hand:
7 Iti dayta nga aldaw agpukkawto isuna a kunana, ‘Saanakto nga agbalin a mangngagas; awan iti tinapay wenno kawesko. Saandak a pagbalinen a mangituray kadagiti tattao.”'
In that day shall he swear, saying, I will not be an healer; for in my house [is] neither bread nor clothing: make me not a ruler of the people.
8 Ta nadadaelen ti Jerusalem, ken narpuogen ti Juda, gapu ta maibusor kenni Yahweh dagiti sao ken tignayda, karkaritenda ti turayna.
For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings [are] against the LORD, to provoke the eyes of his glory.
9 Makita kadagiti rupada ti kinasukirda; ket ibagbagada ti basolda a kas iti Sodoma; saanda nga ilemmeng daytoy. Asida pay! Ta nangiyegda iti dakkel a pakaisagmakan kadagiti bagbagida.
The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide [it] not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.
10 Ibagayo iti nalinteg a tao a nasayaatto ti masakbayanna; ta lak-amennanto ti bunga dagiti aramidna.
Say ye to the righteous, that [it shall be] well [with him: ] for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.
11 Asi pay dagiti nadangkes! Dakesto ti mapasamak kadakuada, ta no ania ti inaramid dagiti imana isunto ti maawatna. Dagiti tattaok- ubbing dagiti mangparparigat kadakuada, ken babbai dagiti mangiturturay kadakuada.
Woe unto the wicked! [it shall be] ill [with him: ] for the reward of his hands shall be given him.
12 Dakayo a tattaok, iyaw-awandakayo dagiti panguloyo ket saanyo nga ammo iti turturongenyo.
[As for] my people, children [are] their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause [thee] to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.
13 Timmakder ni Yahweh tapno mangngeddeng iti pangukoman; timmakder isuna tapno ukomenna dagiti tattaona.
The LORD standeth up to plead, and standeth to judge the people.
14 Ibaganto ni Yahweh ti pangngeddengna maipanggep kadagiti panglakayen ken kadagiti opisial dagiti tattaona: “Inibusyoyo ti kaubasan; ti nasamsam manipud kadagiti marigrigat ket adda kadagiti balbalayyo.
The LORD will enter into judgment with the ancients of his people, and the princes thereof: for ye have eaten up the vineyard; the spoil of the poor [is] in your houses.
15 Apay a tumekenyo dagiti tattaok ken gilingenyo ti rupa dagiti marigrigat?” Daytoy ti pakaammo ti Apo, ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin.
What mean ye [that] ye beat my people to pieces, and grind the faces of the poor? saith the Lord GOD of hosts.
16 Imbaga ni Yahweh a napannakkel dagiti annak a babbai ti Sion, ken natangigda a magmagna, ken manggargari dagiti matada, agkinnikinnida bayat iti pannagnada, ken pagkalingkingenda dagiti saksakada.
Moreover the LORD saith, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing [as] they go, and making a tinkling with their feet:
17 Isu a paggaddilen ti Apo dagiti ulo dagiti annak a babbai ti Sion, ken pagkalboen ida ni Yahweh.
Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will discover their secret parts.
18 Iti dayta nga aldaw, ikkatento ti Apo dagiti napintas nga alahas kadagiti lipay-lipayda, dagiti bandana, dagiti simmagaysay nga arkos,
In that day the Lord will take away the bravery of [their] tinkling ornaments [about their feet], and [their] cauls, and [their] round tires like the moon,
19 dagiti aritos, dagiti pulseras, ken dagiti belo;
The chains, and the bracelets, and the mufflers,
20 dagiti punggos, dagiti kalingking kadagiti lipaylipay, dagiti barikes, ken dagiti kahon ti bangbanglo, ken dagiti an-anib.
The bonnets, and the ornaments of the legs, and the headbands, and the tablets, and the earrings,
21 Ikkatennanto dagiti singsing ken alahas a pang-agong,
The rings, and nose jewels,
22 dagiti kawes a pakirambak, dagiti kagay, dagiti belo, ken dagiti supot;
The changeable suits of apparel, and the mantles, and the wimples, and the crisping pins,
23 dagiti ig-iggaman a sarming, ti kasasayaatan a lino, dagiti abungot, ken dagiti naarkusan a kagay.
The glasses, and the fine linen, and the hoods, and the vails.
24 Imbes a pabanglo, nabangsitto ti adda; ken imbes a barikes, maysa a tali; imbes a naurnos a buok, panagkalbo; ken imbes a maysa a kagay, maysa a pangkalob a nakirsang a lupot; ken birbiritto imbes a kinapintas.
And it shall come to pass, [that] instead of sweet smell there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent; and instead of well set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; [and] burning instead of beauty.
25 Mapasagto dagiti tattaom babaen iti kampilan, ket mapasagto dagiti maingel a tattaom iti gubat.
Thy men shall fall by the sword, and thy mighty in the war.
26 Agdung-aw ken agladingitto dagiti ruangan ti Jerusalem; ket agmaymaysanto isuna ken agtugaw iti daga.
And her gates shall lament and mourn; and she [being] desolate shall sit upon the ground.
