Oseas 10
1 Maiyarig ti Israel iti maysa a narukbos a pinuon ti ubas nga agbungbunga. Kas umad-adu ti bungana, ad-adu dagiti altar nga impatakderna. Kas umad-adu ti maapit iti dagana, pinapintasna dagiti nasagradoan nga adigina.
Israel [is] an empty vine, he bringeth forth fruit unto himself: according to the multitude of his fruit he hath increased the altars; according to the goodness of his land they have made goodly images.
2 Manangallilaw dagiti pusoda; ita masapul a baklayenda dagiti basolda. Rebbaento ni Yahweh dagiti altarda; dadaelennanto dagiti nasagradoan nga adigida.
Their heart is divided; now shall they be found faulty: he shall break down their altars, he shall spoil their images.
3 Ta ita kunadanto, “Awan iti arimi, ta saankami nga agbuteng kenni Yahweh. Ket ti maysa nga ari— ania ti mabalinna nga aramiden para kadakami?”
For now they shall say, We have no king, because we feared not the LORD; what then should a king do to us?
4 Agsaoda kadagiti ubbaw a sasao ken makitulagda babaen iti ulbod a panagsapsapata. Isu nga agrusingto ti hustisia a kas iti makasabidong a ruot kadagiti naarado a talon.
They have spoken words, swearing falsely in making a covenant: thus judgment springeth up as hemlock in the furrows of the field.
5 Mabutengto dagiti agnanaed iti Samaria gapu kadagiti urbon a sinan-baka ti Bet-Aven. Agladingitto dagiti tattaona kadagitoy, a kas iti inaramid dagiti papadi nga agdaydayaw kadagiti didiosen a nakipagrag-o kadakuada ken iti dayagda, ngem awandan sadiay.
The inhabitants of Samaria shall fear because of the calves of Beth-aven: for the people thereof shall mourn over it, and the priests thereof [that] rejoiced on it, for the glory thereof, because it is departed from it.
6 Maipandanto idiay Asiria a kas sagut iti nabileg nga ari. Maibabainto ti Efraim ken mabainto ti Israel gapu iti panangsurotna iti balakad dagiti didiosen.
It shall be also carried unto Assyria [for] a present to king Jareb: Ephraim shall receive shame, and Israel shall be ashamed of his own counsel.
7 Madadaelto ti ari ti Samaria, a kas iti bassit a pidaso ti kayo a tumtumpaw iti danum.
[As for] Samaria, her king is cut off as the foam upon the water.
8 Dagiti altar ti kinadangkes—ti basol ti Israel— ket madadaelto. Agtubonto dagiti nasiit a mula kadagiti altarda. Ibaganto dagiti tattao kadagiti bantay, “Lingedandakami!” ken kadagiti turod, “Gaburandakami!”
The high places also of Aven, the sin of Israel, shall be destroyed: the thorn and the thistle shall come up on their altars; and they shall say to the mountains, Cover us; and to the hills, Fall on us.
9 “Israel, nagbasolka sipud pay kadagiti aldaw ti Gabaa; sadiay a nagtalinaedam. Saan kadi a dinanon ti gubat dagiti managdakdakes idiay Gabaa?
O Israel, thou hast sinned from the days of Gibeah: there they stood: the battle in Gibeah against the children of iniquity did not overtake them.
10 Inton tarigagayak daytoy, disiplinaakto ida. Agguummongto dagiti nasion a maibusor kadakuada ket galutanda ida gapu iti adu a basbasolda.
[It is] in my desire that I should chastise them; and the people shall be gathered against them, when they shall bind themselves in their two furrows.
11 Maiyarig ti Efraim iti nasusuroan a bumalasang a baka a pagay-ayatna iti agirik iti trigo, isu nga ikkakto iti sangol ti napintas a teltelna. Ikkakto iti sangol ti Efraim; agaradonto ti Juda; Guyudento a mismo ti Jacob ti suyod.
And Ephraim [is as] an heifer [that is] taught, [and] loveth to tread out [the corn; ] but I passed over upon her fair neck: I will make Ephraim to ride; Judah shall plow, [and] Jacob shall break his clods.
12 Agmulakayo iti kinalinteg para kadagiti bagbagiyo ket apitenyo dagiti bunga ti kinapudno ti tulagna. Aradoenyo ti saan a naarado a dagayo, ta daytoyen ti tiempo a birokenyo ni Yahweh, agingga nga umay isuna ket pagtuddoenna iti kinalinteg kadakayo.
Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for [it is] time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.
13 Inyaradoyo ti kinadangkes; nagapitkayo iti saan a nalinteg. Kinnanyo ti bunga ti panangallilaw gapu ta nagtalekkayo kadagiti panggepyo ken kadagiti adu a soldadoyo.
Ye have plowed wickedness, ye have reaped iniquity; ye have eaten the fruit of lies: because thou didst trust in thy way, in the multitude of thy mighty men.
14 Isu a rumsuanto ti maysa a riribuk ti gubat kadagiti tattaoyo, ket madadaelto amin dagiti nasarikedkedan a siudadyo. Kaslanto daytoy iti panangdadael ni Salmana iti Bet-Arbel iti aldaw ti gubat, idi narumrumek dagiti inna agraman dagiti annakda.
Therefore shall a tumult arise among thy people, and all thy fortresses shall be spoiled, as Shalman spoiled Beth-arbel in the day of battle: the mother was dashed in pieces upon [her] children.
15 Isu a mapasamakto daytoy kadakayo, Betel, gapu iti nakaro a kinadangkesyo. Apaman a lumawag, matayto ti ari ti Israel.”
So shall Beth-el do unto you because of your great wickedness: in a morning shall the king of Israel utterly be cut off.
