Deuteronomio 7
1 No ipannakayo ni Yahweh a Diosyo iti daga a papananyo tapno tagikuaen, ken pagtalawenna dagiti adu a nasion iti sangoananyo—dagiti Heteo, Gergeseo, Amorreo, Cananeo, Periseo, Heveo, ken Jebuseo—pito a nasion a dakdakkel ken nabilbileg ngem dakayo;
When Jehovah thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and shall cast out many nations from before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou,
2 ket inton ited kadakayo ni Yahweh a Diosyo ti panagballigim kadakuada, inton masabatyo ida iti paggugubatan, masapul a darupenyo ida, ket masapul a dadaelenyo ida a naan-anay. Saankayo a makitulag wenno mangipakita iti asi kadakuada.
and when Jehovah thy God shall give them up before thee and thou shalt smite them, then shalt thou utterly destroy them: thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them.
3 Saankayo met a makiasawa kadakuada; saanyo nga ited dagiti annakyo a babbai kadagiti annakda a lallaki, ken saanyo nga alaen dagiti annakda a babbai para kadagiti annakyo a lallaki.
And thou shalt make no marriages with them: thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor take his daughter for thy son;
4 Ta pagtallikudenda dagiti annakyo manipud iti panangsursurotda kaniak, tapno agdayawda kadagiti sabali a dios. Isu a sumgedto ti pungtot ni Yahweh maibusor kadakayo, ket dadaelennakayonto a dagus.
for he will turn away thy son from following me, and they will serve other gods, and the anger of Jehovah will be kindled against you, and he will destroy thee quickly.
5 Kastoy ti aramidenyo kadakuada: rebbaenyo dagiti altarda, burakenyo dagiti nasagradoan nga adigida, putdenyo ti tekken ti Aserada ken puoranyo dagiti nasukog a didiosenda.
But thus shall ye deal with them: ye shall break down their altars, and shatter their statues, and hew down their Asherahs, and burn their graven images with fire.
6 Ta maysakayo a nasion a nailasin para kenni Yahweh a Diosyo. Pinilinakayo nga agbalin a tattao a para kenkuana a tagikuaenna, nga ad-adda ngem kadagiti amin a tattao nga adda iti rupa ti daga.
For a holy people art thou unto Jehovah thy God: Jehovah thy God hath chosen thee to be unto him a people for a possession, above all the peoples that are upon the face of the earth.
7 Saannakayo nga inayat wenno pinili ni Yahweh gapu ta ad-adukayo ngem kadagiti dadduma a tattao— ta dakayo idi ti kabassitan kadagiti amin a tattao—
Not because ye were more in number than all the peoples, hath Jehovah been attached to you and chosen you, for ye are the fewest of all the peoples;
8 ngem gapu ta ay-ayatennakayo, ken tinarigagayanna a salimetmetan ti insapatana kadagiti ammayo. Daytoy ti makagapu nga inruarnakayo ni Yahweh babaen iti nabileg nga imana ken sinubbotnakayo iti balay ti pannakaibalud, manipud iti ima ni Faraon, nga ari ti Egipto.
but because Jehovah loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath Jehovah brought you out with a powerful hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
9 Ammoenyo ngarud a ni Yahweh a Diosyo—isuna ket Dios, ti napudno a Dios, a mangsalsalimetmet kadagiti tulag ken kinapudnona iti sangaribu a henerasion kadagiti agayat kenkuana ken mangsalimetmet kadagiti bilbilinna,
And thou shalt know that Jehovah thy God, he is God, the faithful God, who keepeth covenant and mercy to a thousand generations with them that love him and keep his commandments;
10 ngem subadanna kadagiti rupada dagiti manggurgura kenkuana, tapno dadaelenna ida; saanto a maasian isuna iti siasinoman kadagiti manggurgura kenkuana; subadannanto isuna iti rupana.
and repayeth them that hate him [each] to his face, to cause them to perish: he delayeth not with him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face.
11 Salimetmetam ngarud dagiti bilbilin, dagiti alagaden, ken dagiti pangngeddeng nga imbilinko kenka ita, tapno aramidem dagitoy.
And thou shalt keep the commandment, and the statutes, and the ordinances, which I command thee this day, to do them.
12 No denggenyo dagitoy a pangngeddeng, ket salimetmetan ken aramidenyo dagitoy, mapasamakto a salimetmetan ni Yahweh a Diosyo ti tulag ken ti kinapudno nga insapatana kadagiti ammayo.
And it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these ordinances, and keep and do them, that Jehovah thy God will keep with thee the covenant and the mercy which he swore unto thy fathers;
13 Ayaten, bendisionan ken paaduennakayonto; bendisionannanto met ti bunga ti bagiyo ken ti bunga ti dagayo, ti bukelyo, ti baro nga arakyo, ken ti lanayo, ti panagadu dagiti tarakenyo ken ti urbon dagiti arbanyo, iti daga nga insapatana kadagiti ammayo nga itedna kadakayo.
and he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee, and will bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy ground, thy corn and thy new wine, and thine oil, the offspring of thy kine, and the increase of thy sheep, in the land which he swore unto thy fathers to give thee.
14 Ad-adda a mabendisionankayo ngem kadagiti sabali a tattao; awanto ti lalaki nga awan anakna wenno lupes a babai kadakayo wenno kadagiti tarakenyo.
Thou shalt be blessed above all the peoples; there shall not be male or female barren with thee, or with thy cattle;
15 Ikkatento ni Yahweh manipud kadakayo dagiti amin a saksakit; awan kadagiti dakes a saksakit ti Egipto a naammoam ti ikabilna kadakayo, ngem ikabilnanto dagitoy kadagiti amin a manggurgura kadakayo.
and Jehovah will take away from thee all sickness, and none of the evil infirmities of Egypt, which thou knowest, will he put upon thee; but he will lay them upon all them that hate thee.
16 Ibusenyonto amin dagiti bunggoy dagiti tattao a nangitedan ni Yahweh a Diosyo kadakayo iti balligi, ken saanto a maasian ti matayo kadakuada. Ket saanyonto a dayawen dagiti diosda, ta agbalinto a palab-og dayta kadakayo.
And thou shalt consume all the peoples that Jehovah thy God will give up unto thee; thine eye shall not spare them, and thou shalt not serve their gods; for that would be a snare unto thee.
17 No kunayo iti pusoyo 'Ad-adu dagitoy a nasion ngem siak; kasano a mapapanawko ida?'—
If thou shouldest say in thy heart, These nations are greater than I; how can I dispossess them?
18 Saankayo nga agbuteng kadakuada; lagipenyo ti inaramid ni Yahweh a Diosyo kenni Faraon ken kadagiti amin nga Egipto;
fear them not; remember well what Jehovah thy God did unto Pharaoh, and unto all the Egyptians;
19 ti nakaro a panagsagaba a nakita dagiti matayo, dagiti pagilasinan, dagiti nakaskasdaaw, ti nabileg nga ima, ken ti panangipakita ti pannakabalin ni Yahweh a Diosyo a nangiruar kadakayo. Isunto met laeng ti aramiden ni Yahweh a Diosyo kadagiti amin a tattao a pagbutbutnganyo.
the great trials which thine eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and the powerful hand, and the stretched-out arm, whereby Jehovah thy God brought thee out: so will Jehovah thy God do unto all the peoples whom thou fearest.
20 Kasta met, ibaonto ni Yahweh a Diosyo dagiti alimbubuyog kadakuada, agingga a mapukaw iti imatangyo dagiti nabati ken dagiti aglemlemmeng.
Moreover, Jehovah thy God will send the hornet among them, until they that are left, and they that hide themselves from thee, are destroyed.
21 Saankayonto nga agbuteng kadakuada, ta adda kadakayo ni Yahweh a Diosyo, maysa a dakkel ken nakabutbuteng a Dios.
Thou shalt not be afraid of them; for Jehovah thy God is in thy midst, a God great and terrible.
22 In-inutto a papanawen ni Yahweh a Diosyo dagiti nasion iti sangoananyo. Saanyonto a maparmek ida a mamimpinsan, wenno umadunto unay dagiti atap nga ayup iti aglawlawyo.
And Jehovah thy God will cast out those nations from before thee by little and little; thou shalt not be able to make an end of them at once, lest the beasts of the field increase upon thee.
23 Ngem itedto kadakayo ni Yahweh a Diosyo ti panagballigiyo kadakuada no masabatyo ida iti paggugubatan; Tikawennanto ida iti kasta unay agingga a madadaelda.
But Jehovah thy God will give them up before thee, and will confound them with great consternation, until they are destroyed.
24 Ikabilnanto dagiti arida iti turayyo, ket pukawenyonto ti naganda iti babaen ti langit. Awanto ti siasinoman a makabael a tumakder iti sangoananyo, agingga a madadaelyo ida.
And he will give their kings into thy hand, and thou shalt put out their name from under the heavens; no man shall stand before thee, until thou hast destroyed them.
25 Puoranyonto dagiti nakitikitan a ladawan dagiti diosda; saanyo a tarigagayan ti pirak wenno balitok a nangbalkot kadagitoy a kayatyo la unay nga alaen para kadagiti bagbagiyo, ket mapalab-ogankayo iti daytoy; ta kagura daytoy ni Yahweh a Diosyo.
The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire; thou shalt not covet the silver and gold [that is] on them and take it unto thee, lest thou be ensnared therein; for it is an abomination to Jehovah thy God.
26 Saankayonto a mangiyuneg iti aniaman a makarimon a banbanag iti balayyo ken rugianyo a dayawen daytoy. Guraen ken karimonyonto dagitoy, ta nailasin daytoy para iti pannakadadael.
And thou shalt not bring an abomination into thy house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.
