< Daniel 6 >

1 Naay-ayo ni Dario a mangdutok iti 120 a gobernador a mangituray iti entero a pagarian.
It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom an hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom;
2 Iti ngatoenda ket adda iti tallo a kangatoan nga administrador, ket ni Daniel ti maysa kadakuada. Nadutokan dagitoy a kangatoan nga administrador tapno mangiwanwan kadagiti gobernador ti probinsia, tapno saan a mapukawan ti ari.
And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel [was] first: that the princes might give accounts unto them, and the king should have no damage.
3 Ad-adda a mabigbigbig ni Daniel ngem kadagiti dadduma a kangatoan nga administrador ken dagiti gobernador ti probinsia gapu ta addaan isuna iti naisangsangayan nga espiritu. Pangpanggepen ti ari nga isaad isuna a mangimaton iti entero a pagarian.
Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit [was] in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.
4 Ket nangsapul dagiti dadduma a kangatoan nga administrador ken dagiti gobernador iti probinsia iti biddut iti trabaho nga inaramid ni Daniel para iti pagarian, ngem awan iti masarakanda a kinakillo wenno pagkurangan iti trabahona gapu ta napudno isuna. Awan iti biddut wenno panangbaybay-an a masarakan kenkuana.
Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he [was] faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.
5 Ket kinuna dagitoy a lallaki, “Awan ti masapulantayo a rason tapno idarum daytoy a Daniel malaksid no makasaraktayo iti maysa a banag a maibusor kenkuana maipapan iti linteg ti Diosna.”
Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find [it] against him concerning the law of his God.
6 Ket nangiyeg dagitoy nga administrador ken dagiti gobernador iti maysa a panggep iti sangoanan ti ari. Kinunada kenkuana, “O Ari Dario, agbiagka koma iti agnanayon!
Then these presidents and princes assembled together to the king, and said thus unto him, King Darius, live for ever.
7 Amin dagiti kangatoan nga administrador ti pagarian, dagiti gobernador ti rehion, dagiti gobernador ti probinsia, dagiti mammagbaga, ken dagiti gobernador ket sangsangkamaysada a nagtutungtong ken nangikeddeng a sika nga ari, ket masapul a mangipaulogka iti maysa a linteg ken masapul a maipatungpal daytoy, tapno ti siasinoman nga agdawat iti siasinoman a didiosen wenno tao iti las-ud iti tallopulo nga aldaw, malaksid kenka, O ari, masapul a maipuruak dayta a tao iti rukib dagiti leon.
All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.
8 Ita, O ari, mangipaulogka iti maysa a linteg ket pirmaam ti kasuratan tapno saan a mabaliwan daytoy, kas mayannurot kadagiti paglintegan dagiti taga-Medo ken taga-Persia, tapno saanen a maibabawi daytoy.”
Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.
9 Pinirmaan ngarud ni ari Dario ti kasuratan tapno agbalin a maysa a linteg.
Wherefore king Darius signed the writing and the decree.
10 Idi naammoan ni Daniel a napirmaan ti kasuratan tapno agbalin a linteg, nagawid isuna (ita, dagiti tawana ket nakalukat iti akinngato a siledna a nakaturong iti Jerusalem) ket nagparintumeng isuna, kas iti ar-aramidenna iti mamitlo a daras iti tunggal aldaw, ket nagkararag ken nagyaman iti sangoanan ti Diosna, kas iti sigud nga ar-aramidenna.
Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.
11 Ket dagitoy a lallaki a sangsangkamaysa a nagpanggep iti dakes ket nakitada ni Daniel nga agdawdawat ken agpakpakaasi iti tulong manipud iti Dios.
Then these men assembled, and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God.
12 Ket napanda iti ari ket nakisaritada kenkuana maipapan iti lintegna: “Saan kadi a nangaramidka iti linteg a ti siasinoman nga agdawat iti siasinoman a dios wenno tao bayat kadagiti sumaruno a tallopulo nga aldaw, malaksid kenka, O ari, ket masapul a maipurruak iti rukib dagiti leon?” Simmungbat ti ari, “Naikeddengen dayta a banag kas mayannurot iti paglintegan dagiti taga-Medo ken taga-Pesia; saanen a maibabawi daytoy.”
Then they came near, and spake before the king concerning the king’s decree; Hast thou not signed a decree, that every man that shall ask [a petition] of any God or man within thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? The king answered and said, The thing [is] true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.
13 Ket insungbatda iti ari, “Dayta a tao a ni Daniel, maysa kadagiti tattao a naitalaw a kas balud manipud iti Juda, ket saannaka nga ipangpangag, O ari, wenno ti linteg a pinirmaam. Agkarkararag isuna iti Diosna iti mamitlo a daras iti tunggal aldaw.”
Then answered they and said before the king, That Daniel, which [is] of the children of the captivity of Judah, regardeth not thee, O king, nor the decree that thou hast signed, but maketh his petition three times a day.
14 Idi nangngeg ti ari daytoy, nariribukan unay isuna, ket pinanggepna nga isalakan ni Daniel manipud iti daytoy a linteg. Nagtrabaho isuna agingga iti ililinnek iti init tapno padasenna nga isalakan ni Daniel.
Then the king, when he heard [these] words, was sore displeased with himself, and set [his] heart on Daniel to deliver him: and he laboured till the going down of the sun to deliver him.
15 Ket naguummong dagitoy a lallaki a nagpanggep iti dakes a kadauda ti ari ket kinunada kenkuana, “Ammoem, O ari, a daytoy ket paglintegan dagiti taga-Medo ken taga-Persia, nga awan ti linteg wenno annuroten nga impaulog ti ari ti mabalin a baliwan.”
Then these men assembled unto the king, and said unto the king, Know, O king, that the law of the Medes and Persians [is], That no decree nor statute which the king establisheth may be changed.
16 Ket nangibilin ti ari, ket inyunegda ni Daniel, ket impurruakda isuna iti rukib dagiti leon. Kinuna ti ari kenni Daniel, “Ispalennaka koma ti Diosmo, nga agtultuloy a pagserserbiam.”
Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast [him] into the den of lions. [Now] the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee.
17 Naipan ti maysa a bato iti pagserrekan ti rukib, ket sinelyoan ti ari daytoy iti bukodna a pangselyo a singsing ken iti pangselyo a singsing dagiti ofisialesna tapno iti kasta ket awan ti mabaliwan maipapan kenni Daniel.
And a stone was brought, and laid upon the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his lords; that the purpose might not be changed concerning Daniel.
18 Ket nagawid ti ari iti palasiona ket nagpatpatnag a nagayunar. Awan iti pangliwliwa a tokar a naipan iti sangoananna, ket saan a makaturog isuna.
Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting: neither were instruments of musick brought before him: and his sleep went from him.
19 Ket iti parbangon bimmangon a dagus ti ari ket napan iti rukib dagiti leon.
Then the king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste unto the den of lions.
20 Bayat nga umas-asideg isuna iti rukib, inawaganna ni Daniel babaen iti timek a napnoan saem. Kinunana kenni Daniel, “Daniel, nga adipen ti sibibiag a Dios, Insalakannaka kadi manipud kadagiti leon ti Diosmo nga agtultuloy a pagserserbiam?”
And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: [and] the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?
21 Ket kinuna ni Daniel iti ari, “O ari, agbiagka iti agnanayon!
Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever.
22 Imbaon ti Diosko ti mensaherona ket inserrana dagiti ngiwat dagiti leon, ket saandak a dinangran. Ta nasarakandak nga awan mulitna iti sangoananna ken kasta met iti sangoanam, O ari, ket awan ti inaramidko a pakadangram.”
My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.
23 Ket kasta unay ti ragsak ti ari. Imbilinna a rumbeng nga iruarda ni Daniel iti rukib. Isu a naiyaon ni Daniel iti rukib. Saan isuna a nadangran, gapu ta nagtalek isuna iti Diosna.
Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.
24 Imbilin ti ari, ket inyegda dagiti lallaki a nangpabasol kenni Daniel ket impurruakda ida iti rukib dagiti leon—isuda, dagiti annakda ken dagiti assawada. Sakbay nga agdissoda iti lansad ti rukib, sinikbab ida dagiti leon ket tinuktukkolda dagiti amin a tultulangda.
And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast [them] into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den.
25 Ket nagsurat ni ari Dario kadagiti amin a tattao, kadagiti nasion, ken kadagiti pagsasao nga agnanaed iti entero a daga: “Maadda koma ti talna kadakayo.
Then king Darius wrote unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you.
26 Iblibilnko kadagiti amin a maiturayan ti pagariak nga agpigerger ken agbuteng dagiti tattao iti sangoanan ti Dios ni Daniel, ta sibibiag isuna a Dios ken agbiag iti agnanayon, ket saanto a madadael ti pagarianna; ti pagturayanna ket agingga iti panungpalan.
I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he [is] the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom [that] which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion [shall be even] unto the end.
27 Ikanawana ken ispalennatayo, ket mangar-aramid isuna kadagiti pagilasinan ken pagsidsiddaawan iti langit ken iti daga; pinagbalinna a natalged ni daniel manipud iti pannakabalin dagiti leon.”
He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.
28 Isu a rimmang-ay ni Daniel kabayatan ti panagturay ni Dario ken kabayatan ti panagturay ni Ciro a taga-Persia.
So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.
