< Daniel 11 >

1 “Iti umuna a tawen ti panagturay ni Darius a taga-Media, immayak a mismo tapno tulongak ken salaknibak ni Miguel.
I, therefore, in the first year of Darius the Mede, was at my station to strengthen and embolden him;
2 Ket ita, adda iti ipaltiingko a kinapudno kenka. Addanto ti tallo nga ari a tumaud iti Persia, ket nabakbaknangto nga amang ti maikapat ngem kadakuada amin. Inton bimmileg isuna babaen kadagiti kinabaknangna, allukoyennanto ti amin a bumusor iti pagarian ti Grecia.
and, now, the truth, I will tell thee: —Lo! there are, yet three kings, to arise—belonging to Persia, and, the fourth, will amass greater riches than they all, and, when he hath strengthened himself in his riches, the whole, will stir up, the kingdom of Greece.
3 Tumaudto ti maysa a nabileg nga ari a mangituray iti dakkel unay a pagarian, ket aramidennanto ti amin a kayatna.
And so a hero king, will arise, —and wield great authority, and do according to his own pleasure;
4 Inton bumileg isuna, marpuog ken mabingayto ti pagarianna kadagiti uppat nga angin ti langit. Nupay kasta, saanto a maited daytoy kadagiti bukodna a kaputotan, ken saanto a kas iti daytoy ti kabilegna idi iturturayanna daytoy. Ta maparutto ti pagarianna ket maited kadagiti sabali a saanna a bukod a kaputotan.
but, when he hath arisen, his kingdom, shall be broken in pieces, and be divided, toward the four winds of the heavens, —but not to his own posterity, nor according to his own authority which he wielded, for his kingdom, shall be uprooted, even for others besides these.
5 Agbalinto a nabileg ti ari ti Abagatan, ngem agbalinto a nabilbileg ngem isuna ti maysa kadagiti pangulo ti armadana ket iturayannanto ti dakdakkel a pagarian.
But a king of the south, will become strong, even from among his rulers, —and will prevail against him, and have authority, a great authority, shall his authority be.
6 Kalpasan ti sumagmamano a tawen, inton dumteng ti umno a tiempo, agtulagdanto nga agkaddua. Mapanto ti babai a putot ti ari ti Abagatan iti ari ti Amianan tapno mapasingkedan ti nagtutulaganda. Ngem mapukawnanto ti pannakabalinna, ket mabaybay-anto isuna - isuna ken dagiti nangipan kenkuana sadiay, ti amana, ken ti nangtulong kenkuana kadagidiay a tiempo.
And, at the end of years, they will league together, yea, the daughter of the king of the south, will go in unto the king of the north, to make peace, but she shall not retain strength of arm, neither shall he stand, nor his arm, but she shall be delivered up—she herself, and they who brought her in, and he who begat her, and he that strengthened her in the times.
7 Ngem addanto iti maysa a sanga a tumaud manipud kadagiti ramutna a sumukat kenkuana. Rautennanto ti armada ket serrekenna ti sarikedked ti ari ti Amianan. Makirangetto isuna kadakuada, ket maparmeknanto ida.
But one will stand up from the sprout of her roots, [in] his stead, —and he will enter the army, and enter into a fortress of the king of the north, and deal with them and shew himself strong;
8 Ipanawnanto dagiti didiosenda agraman dagiti kinitikitan a ladawan dagiti didiosen ken dagiti alikamenda a naaramid manipud iti pirak ken iti balitok ket ipanna idiay Egipto, ket isardengnanto pay laeng ti panangrarautna iti ari ti Amianan iti sumagmamano a tawen.
yea, even their gods, with their molten images, with their delightful vessels of silver and gold, with a host of captives, will he bring into Egypt, —and, he, will stand more, years, than the king of the north;
9 Rautento ti ari ti Amianan ti pagarian ti ari ti Abagatan, ngem agsanudto isuna iti mismo a dagana.
so will the king of the south, enter into the kingdom, and then return unto his own soil.
10 Agsagananto a makigubat dagiti putotna a lallaki ken mangbuangayda iti dakkel nga armada, nga agtultuloyto nga umay ken agluppiasto a kasla layus, lumabas, ken agsubli manen a rumaut nga agturong iti sarikedkedna.
But, his sons, will rouse themselves to war, and gather together a multitude of large armies, but he will come on and on, and overflow and pass through, —and will return and wage war, up to his fortress.
11 Sipupungtotto a rumaut ti ari ti Abagatan ket makirangetto a maibusor iti ari ti Amianan. Mangbuangayto ti ari ti Amianan iti dakkel nga armada, ngem maiyawatto daytoy iti ima ti ari ti Abagatan.
Then will the king of the south, be enraged, and go forth and fight with him, with the king of the north, —and will raise a great multitude, but the multitude, will be delivered, into his hand.
12 Inton makayawan ti armada, agbalinto a napalangguad unay ti ari ti Abagatan, ket mapapatayto dagiti rinibribu kadagiti kabusorna. Ngem saanto nga agballigi isuna.
And, when he hath taken away the multitude, his heart, will be uplifted, —and he will cause tens of thousands to fall, but will not conquer.
13 Mangbuangayto ti ari ti Amianan iti sabali nga armada, a dakdakkel ngem ti immuna. Kalpasan iti sumagmamano a tawen, awan duadua a rumautto manen ti ari ti Amianan agraman ti dakkel nga armada nga addaan kadagiti adu nga armas.
Then will the king of the north again raise a multitude, greater than the first, —and, at the end of the times—some years, he will come on and on with a great army, and with great substance.
14 Kadagidiay a tiempo, adunto ti tumaud a bumusor iti ari ti Abagatan. Bumusorto dagiti kararanggasan kadagiti tattaom tapno matungpal ti sirmata, ngem maparmek ken mapapataydanto.
And, in those times, many, will rise against the king of the south, —and, the sons of the oppressors of thy people, will exalt themselves to confirm the vision, but will be overthrown.
15 Umayto ti ari ti Amianan ket mangigabsuonto iti daga ket sakupenda ti nasarikedkedan a siudad. Saanto a kabaelan dagiti puersa ti Abagatan ti makiranget; uray dagiti kalalaingan a soldadoda ket awanto ti pigsada a makiranget.
Then will come in the king of the north, and cast up a rampart, and capture a city of strongholds, —and, the arms of the south, will not rise, nor the people of his chosen ones, and there shall be no strength to rise.
16 Ngem aramidento ti ari ti Amianan ti aniaman a kayatna a maibusor iti ari ti Abagatan, ket awanto ti makalapped kenkuana; isaadnanto ti mismo a bagina iti napintas a daga nga addaan iti naan-anay a panangdadael iti imana.
So shall he that cometh against him do according to his own pleasure, and, none, shall stand before him, —therefore will he take his stand in the beautiful land, and it will languish and be exhausted in his hand.
17 Mangeddengto ti ari ti Amianan a mapan a kakuyogna ti puersa ti entero a pagarianna, ket makitulagto a makikaddua iti ari ti Abagatan. Itednanto iti ari ti Abagatan ti putotna a babai a kas asawa tapno dadaelenna ti pagarian ti Abagatan. Ngem saanto nga agballigi ti panggepna wenno makatulong kenkuana.
Then will he set his face to enter, with the might of all his kingdom, and, equitable terms with him, will make, —and, a daughter of women, will he give him to corrupt her, but she will not remain, nor, his, shall she become.
18 Kalpasan daytoy, rautento ti ari ti Amianan dagiti adda kadagiti igid ti baybay ken adunto ti tiliwenna kadakuada. Ngem maysa a pangulo ti armada ti manggibusto ti kinatangsitna ket ipalak-amnanto iti ari ti bukodna a kinatangsit.
Then will he turn his face to the Coastlands, and will capture many, —but a commander, will bring to an end, his reproach against himself, that, his reproach, return not unto him.
19 Kalpasanna, agsublinto isuna kadagiti sarikedked ti mismo a dagana, ngem maparmek ken mapapatayto isuna; saanto a masarakan isuna.
Therefore will he turn his face towards the fortresses of his land, —but he shall stagger and fall, and shall not be found.
20 Ket addanto iti maysa a tumaud a kasukatna a mangipilitto nga agsingir iti buis tapno maipaay para iti kinadayag ti pagarian. Ngem iti sumagmamano laeng nga aldaw, madadaelto isuna, ngem saan a gapu iti unget wenno iti gubatan.
Then will rise up in his stead, one causing an exactor to pass through the ornament of the kingdom, —but, in a few days, shall he be broken in pieces, not with anger, nor in battle.
21 Addanto iti sumukat kenkuana a maysa a kagurgura ti tao ken saan a mararaem a kas ari; maisaadto isuna nga awan iti makaamo ket iturayannanto ti pagarian babaen iti kinasikap.
Then will rise up in his stead, one despised, and they will not lay upon him the dignity of the kingdom, —but he will come in unexpectedly, and strengthen the kingdom by flatteries;
22 Dakkel nga armada ti kasla iyanudto ti layus iti sangoananna. Agpadanto a madadael dayta nga armada ken ti mangidadaulo a napasingkedan babaen iti tulag.
and, the arms of an overflowing flood, will sweep all before him, and they shall be broken in pieces, —moreover also, the prince of a covenant;
23 Manipud iti tiempo a pannakitulag a makikadua kenkuana, agtignayto isuna a siaallilaw; agbalinto isuna a nabileg babaen laeng iti bassit a bilang dagiti tattao.
and, by reason of the leaguing against him, he will work deceitfully, and will come up and become strong, with a small nation.
24 Rautennanto ti kababaknangan a paset iti probinsia a saan a mapakpakadaan, ket aramidennanto ti saan nga inaramid ti amana wenno dagiti kapuonanna - a pagbibingayanda kadagiti pasurotna ti samsam, ti tinakaw, ken ti kinabaknang. Panggepennanto ti panangrebba kadagiti sarikedked, ngem iti mabiit laeng a tiempo.
Unexpectedly, even into the rich places of the province, will he enter, and will do what neither his fathers nor his father’s fathers had done, prey and spoil and substance—among them, will he scatter, —and, against strongholds, will he devise plots even until a (convenient) time.
25 Tignayennanto ti pannakabalinna ken ti kinaturedna nga addaan iti dakkel nga armada a bumusor iti ari ti Abagatan. Makigubatto ti ari ti Abagatan nga addaan iti nabileg nga armada, ngem saanto nga agballigi isuna gapu kadagiti amin a dakes a panangsikap a maibusor kenkuana.
Then will he stir up his strength and his heart, against the king of the south, with a great army, and, the king of the south, will wage war, with a great and exceedingly mighty army, —but will make no stand, for they will devise against him plots;
26 Uray dagiti makisangsango iti panganan ti ari ket kayatdanto a dadaelen isuna. Kasla iyanudto iti layus ti armadana, ket adunto ti mapapatay kadakuada.
and, they who have been eating his delicacies, will break him in pieces, and, his army, will he overwhelm like a flood, —and many wounded, will fall.
27 Agpada dagitoy nga ar-ari, nga addaan iti dakes a gandat kadagiti pusoda a maibusor iti tumunggal maysa, agsangondanto iti maymaysa a lamisaan ket aginnulbodda, ngem saanda a magun-od ti tarigagayda. Ta umay pay laeng ti panungpalan iti naituding a tiempo.
Now, as for the two kings, their heart, will be set on acting wickedly, and, at one table, will they speak, falsehood, —but it shall not succeed, for yet is the end for an appointed time.
28 Ket agsublinto ti ari ti Amianan iti dagana nga addaan iti adu a kinabaknang, ngem bumusor ti pusona iti nasantoan a tulag. Aramidennanto ti kaykayatna, ket agsublinto isuna iti bukodna a daga.
So then he will return to his own land, with great substance, with, his heart, set upon a holy covenant; yea he will act with effect, and return to his own land.
29 Iti naituding a tiempo, agsublinto isuna a mangsakop manen iti Abagatan. Ngem iti dayta a gundaway, saanto a kasla idi damo.
At the appointed time, will he again enter the south, —but it shall not be like the former, nor like the latter.
30 Ta sumabatto dagiti barko ti Kittim a maibusor kenkuana, ket maupayto isuna ken agsanudto. Makaungetto unay isuna a maibusor iti nasantoan a tulag, ket paborannanto dagiti mangtallikud iti nasantoan a tulag.
Then will come in against him the ships of Cyprus, and he will be disheartened, and again have indignation against a holy covenant, and will act with effect, —and again gain intelligence, concerning them who are forsaking a holy covenant.
31 Umayto ti armadana ket tulawanda ti santuario ken ti sarikedked; ikkatendanto ti kadawyan a daton a mapuoran, ket isaaddanto ti makarimon a pakaigapuan iti naan-anay a pannakadadael.
And, arms, from him, will arise, —and will profane the sanctuary, the fortress, and will set aside the continual [ascending-sacrifice], and place the horrid abomination that astoundeth.
32 Allukoyennanto a sumurot kenkuana dagiti naglabsing iti tulag babaen iti panangallilaw kadakuada, ngem dagiti tattao a makaam-ammo iti Diosda ket natibker ken sumupiatdanto kadakuada.
And, them who are ready to deal lawlessly with a covenant, will he make impious by flatteries, —but, the people who know their God, will be strong and act with effect.
33 Dagiti masisirib kadagiti tattao ket suroandanto dagiti adu a tattao. Ngem iti sumagmamano nga aldaw, mapasagdanto babaen iti kampilan ken iti apuy, maibaludda ken matakawto dagiti sanikuada.
And, they who make the people wise, will impart understanding to the many, —yet shall they be brought low, by sword and by flame, by captivity and by prey, for some days;
34 Inton maparparigatda, makaawatdanto iti bassit a tulong, ket adunto ti makitipon kadakuada ngem saanda nga ar-aramiden ti ibagbagada.
but, when they are brought low, they shall be helped with a little help, —and many, will join themselves unto them, by flatteries;
35 Maparigatto dagiti dadduma a masirib tapno madalusan, maguguran ken mapasin-awda agingga iti panungpalan. Ta umay pay laeng ti naituding a tiempo.
and, of them who make wise, some shall be brought low, to refine them, and to purify and make white, up to the time of the end, —for yet is it for an appointed time.
36 Aramidento ti ari ti aniaman a kayatna. Ingato ken itantan-oknanto ti bagina kadagiti amin a didios, ket agsaonto isuna iti nakaskasdaaw a banbanag a maibusor iti Dios dagiti dios. Agballiginto isuna agingga a ti pungtot ket naan-anay. Ta no ania ti naikeddengen ket isu ti maaramid.
And the king, will do according to his own pleasure, and will exalt himself, and magnify himself against every GOD, yea, against the GOD of GODS, will he speak wonderful things, —and will succeed, until exhausted is the indignation, for, what is decreed, must be done;
37 Saannanto a bigbigen dagiti dios dagiti kapuonanna, ti dios a tinarigagayan dagiti babbai, wenno uray aniaman a dios. Agpannakel ken ibagananto a natantan-ok isuna ngem kadakuada amin.
and, for the god of his fathers, will he have no regard, nor, for the delight of women, nor for any god, will he have regard, —for, against all, will he magnify himself.
38 Imbes koma a dagitoy, padayawannanto ketdi ti dios dagiti sarikedked. Padayawannanto ti dios a saan nga am-ammo dagiti kapuonanna babaen iti balitok ken pirak, babaen kadagiti agkakapateg a batbato ken agkakangina a sagsagut.
Howbeit, to the god of the fortresses, in his place, will he give honour, —even to a god whom his fathers, knew not, will he give honour, with gold and with silver and with precious stones and with articles of delight.
39 Rautennanto dagiti katitibkeran a sarikedked babaen iti tulong dagiti tattao nga agdaydayaw iti ganggannaet a dios. Padayawannanto dagiti siasinoman a mangbigbig kenkuana. Pagbalinennanto ida a mangituray kadagiti adu a tattao ket bingayennanto ti daga a kas pannakagunggonada.
And he will prepare, for the strongholds of the fortress of the sea, the people of an alien god, whom he will acknowledge—will greatly honour, —and will give them authority over the many, and, the soil, will he apportion for a price.
40 Iti tiempo iti panungpalan, rumautto ti ari ti Abagatan. Ti ari ti Amianan ket agdardarasto a rumaut kenkuana a kasla bagyo nga addaan kadagiti karuahe ken kumakabalio, ken babaen kadagiti adu a barko. Sakupennanto dagiti adu a pagilian ken lumabasto kadakuada a kasla layus.
And, in the time of the end, will the king of the south, push at him, and the king of the north, will rush against him, with chariots and with horsemen, and with many ships, —and he will enter the lands, and overwhelm and pass over;
41 Rautennanto ti nadayag a daga, ket mapasagto ken mapapatayto dagiti rinibribu nga Israelita, ngem adunto ti makalibas a taga-Edom ken taga-Moab, ken dagiti nabatbati a tattao iti Ammon manipud iti imana.
yea he will enter the beautiful land, and, many [lands], shall be laid low, —but, these, shall be delivered out of his hand, Edom and Moab, and the first portion of the sons of Ammon;
42 Dumanunto ti pannakabalinna kadagiti adu a pagilian; uray ti daga ti Egipto ket saanto a makalisi.
yea he will thrust forth his hand against the lands, —and, the land of Egypt, shall have no deliverance;
43 Maaddaanto isuna iti karbengan kadagiti nailemmeng a gameng a balitok ken pirak, ken kadagiti amin a kinabaknang ti Egipto; agserbinto kenkuana dagiti taga-Libya ken dagiti taga-Etiopia.
and he will have authority over the treasures of gold and silver, and over all the delightful things of Egypt, —with Libyans and Ethiopians among his followers;
44 Ngem riribukento isuna dagiti damdamag nga aggapu iti daya ken iti amianan, ket kastanto unay ti pungtotna a rumaut a kadwana ti armadana tapno dadaelen ken mangpapatay iti adu a tattao.
but, tidings, will terrify him, out of the east, and out of the north, —therefore will he go forth with great fury, to destroy and to devote many;
45 Bangonennanto dagiti toldana a kas ari iti nagbaetan dagiti baybay, iti napintas a nasantoan a bantay. Ngem matayto isuna, ket awanto ti uray maysa a tumulong kenkuana.”
and will plant his palace-home between the seas, towards the beautiful holy mountain, but shall come to his end, with none to help him.
