< 2 Timoteo 2 >

1 Sika ngarud, anakko, pumigsaka iti parabur nga adda kenni Jesu-Cristo.
Thou, therefore, my child, be empowering thyself in the favour that is in Christ Jesus,
2 Ken dagiti banag a nangngegam kaniak, kadagiti adu a saksi, italekmo kadagiti napudno a tattao a makabael met a mangisuro kadagiti sabali.
And, the things which thou hast heard from me among many witnesses, the same, entrust thou unto faithful men, such as shall be, competent, to teach, others also.
3 Makipagsagabaka iti rigat kaniak, a kas nasayaat a suldado ni Cristo-Jesus.
Take thy part in suffering hardship, as a brave soldier of Christ Jesus: —
4 Awan ti soldado nga agserbi kabayatan a karaman isuna kadagiti aramid iti daytoy a biag, tapno mabalin a maay-ayona ti kangatoan nga opisialna.
No one that is serving as a soldier, entangleth himself with the matters of his livelihood, that he may please him that hath summoned him to serve as a soldier;
5 Kasta met a no makisalisal ti siasinoman a kas atleta, saan isuna a makoronaan malaksid no makisalisal babaen kadagiti pagannurotan.
If, moreover, any man, contend even in the games, he is not crowned, unless, lawfully, he contend;
6 Kasapulan nga umuna nga umawat iti bingayna ti nagaget a mannalon.
The toiling husbandman, ought, first, of the fruits, to partake:
7 Panunotem no ania ti ibagbagak, ta ti Apo ti mangipaay kenka iti pannakaawat iti amin a banag.
Think, as to what I am speaking; for the Lord will give thee discernment in all things.
8 Laglagipem ni Jesu- Cristo, a nagtaud iti kaputotan ni David, a napagungar manipud kadagiti natay. Daytoy ket segun iti mensahek maipapan iti ebanghelio,
Keep in mind Jesus Christ—raised from among the dead, of the seed of David, —according to my joyful message:
9 nga isu iti pagsagsagabaak agingga iti pannakaikawarko a kas maysa a kriminal. Ngem ti sao ti Dios ket saan a naikawar.
In which I am suffering hardship, even unto bonds, as an evil-doer; but, the word of God, is not bound.
10 Ngarud, inibturak dagiti amin a banbanag gapu kadagidiay a napili, tapno magun-odda met ti pannakaisalakan nga adda kenni Cristo Jesus, nga addaan iti agnanayon a gloria. (aiōnios g166)
For this cause, am I enduring, all things, for the sake of the chosen, in order that, they also, may obtain, the salvation, which is in Christ Jesus along with glory age-abiding. (aiōnios g166)
11 Mapagtalkan daytoy a pagsasao; “No nataytayo a kaduana, makipagbiagtayto met kenkuana.
Faithful, the saying—for, If we have died together, we shall also live together,
12 No makaibturtayo, makipagturaytayto met kenkuana. No ilibaktayo isuna, ilibaknatayto met.
If we endure, we shall also reign together; If we shall deny, he also, will deny us,
13 No saantayo a napudno, agtalinaedto latta isuna a napudno, ta saanna a mailibak ti bagina.”
If we are faithless, he, faithful, abideth, —for, deny himself, he cannot!
14 Kanayon nga ipalagipmo kadakuada dagitoy a banbanag. Ballaagam ida iti sangoanan ti Dios a saanda nga agaapa maipapan kadagiti sasao. Gapu ta awan ti naimbag a maipaayna. Gapu iti daytoy, adda pannakadadael kadagidiay agdengdengngeg.
Of these things, be putting [them] in remembrance, adjuring [them] before God not to be waging word-battles, —useful, for nothing, occasioning a subversion of them that hearken.
15 Aramidem ti kabaelam a mangiparang iti bagim a makaay-ayo iti Dios, kas iti mangmangged a saan a mabain. Isurom a nasayaat ti sao ti kinapudno.
Give diligence, thyself, approved, to present unto God, —a workman not to be put to shame, skillfully handling the word of truth.
16 Liklikam ti narugit a sarita, nga ad-adda a mangigamer iti saan a nadiosan a panagbiag.
But, the profane pratings, shun; for, unto more ungodliness, will they force themselves on;
17 Agwaras dagiti sasaoda a kasla gangrene. Mairaman kadakuada da Himenio ken Fileto.
And, their discourse, as a gangrene, will eat its way; —of whom are Hymenaeus and Philetus,
18 Limmisi dagitoy a lallaki iti kinapudno. Ibagbagada a ti panagungar ket napasamaken. Inupayda ti pammati dagiti dadduma.
Men who, concerning the truth, have erred, affirming, a resurrection, already, to have taken place, and are overthrowing the faith, of some.
19 Nupay kasta, ti natibker a pundasion ti Dios ket sitatakder. Naikitikit iti daytoy ti kastoy: “Ammo ti Apo dagiti kukuana” ken “Tunggal maysa a mangawag iti nagan ti Apo ket nasken a sumina manipud iti saan a nalinteg a panagbiag.”
Howbeit, the firm foundation of God, standeth, having this seal—The Lord hath acknowledged them who are his, and, Let every one that nameth the name of the Lord stand aloof from unrighteousness.
20 Iti nabaknang a pagtaengan, saan laeng a balitok ken pirak dagiti pagkargaan. Adda met dagiti pagkargaan a kayo ken banga. Mausar dadduma kadagitoy iti nadayaw a pakausaran ken dagiti dadduma ket mausar iti saan a nadayaw.
But, in a great house, there are not only gold and silver vessels, but, also wooden and earthen: and, some, indeed, for honour, while, some, are for dishonour:
21 No dalusan ti maysa a tao ti bagina manipud iti saan a nadayaw a pannakausar, isuna ket nadayaw a pagkargaan. Nailasin isuna, adda pakausaranna iti Apo, ken nakasagana para iti tunggal nasayaat a trabaho.
If, therefore, anyone will, for pureness, sever himself from these, he shall be a vessel for honour, hallowed, meet for the Master’s use, for every good work, prepared.
22 Adaywam dagiti paggarteman ti kinaagtutubo. Gun-odem ti kinalinteg, pammati, ayat, ken kapia a kaduam dagidiay umaw-awag iti Apo a nagtaud iti nadalus a puso.
But, from the youthful covetings, flee! and pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace, along with them who call upon the Lord out of a pure heart.
23 Ngem pagkedkedam dagiti minamaag ken awan mamaayna a salsaludsod. Ammom a dagitoy ti pangrugian iti panagsusuppiat.
But, from the foolish and undisciplined questionings, excuse thyself, knowing that they gender strifes;
24 Nasken a saan a makiapa ti adipen ti Apo. Ngem ketdi, naalumanay koma isuna kadagiti amin, kabaelanna ti mangisuro, ken naanus.
And, a servant of the Lord, ought not to strive, but to be, gentle, towards all, apt in teaching, ready to endure malice, —
25 Masapul nga isuruanna, nga addaan kinaemma, dagiti mangsuppiat kenkuana. Ket mabalin nga ikkan ida ti Dios iti panagbabawi, iti pannakaammo iti kinapudno.
In meekness, bringing under discipline them that oppose themselves, lest at any time God should give them repentance unto a personal knowledge of truth,
26 Ket mabalin a makaamirisda ket panawanda ti palab-og ti diablo, kalpasan iti panangtiliwna kadakuada para iti pagayatanna.
And they should wake up to sobriety out of, the adversary’s, snare, —though they have been taken alive by him for, that one’s, will.
