< II Samuel 19 >

1 Naibaga kenni Joab, “Kitaem, agsangsangit ken agladladingit ti ari gapu kenni Absalom.”
And they brought Joab word, saying, Behold, the king weeps and mourns for Abessalom.
2 Isu a nagbalin a ladingit ti balligi iti dayta nga aldaw kadagiti amin nga armada, gapu ta nangngeg ti armada a naibaga iti dayta nga aldaw, “Agladladingit ti ari para iti anakna.”
And the victory was turned that day into mourning to all the people, for the people heard say that day, The king grieves after his son.
3 Siuulimek a nagarudok dagiti soldado a nagturong iti siudad iti dayta nga aldaw, kas iti panagarudok nga umadayo dagiti mababain a tattao no tumarayda manipud iti gubatan.
And the people stole away that day to go into the city, as people steal away when they are ashamed as they flee in the battle.
4 Inabbongan ti ari ti rupana ket nagsangit iti napigsa, “Anakko nga Absalom, Absalom, Absalom, anakko, anakko!”
And the king hid his face: and the king cried with a loud voice, My son Abessalom! Abessalom my son!
5 Ket simrek ni Joab iti balay ti ari ket kinunana kenkuana, “Imbabainmo dagiti rupa dagiti amin a soldadom ita nga aldaw, a nangisalakan ti biagmo ita nga aldaw, dagiti biag dagiti annakmo a lallaki ken babbai, dagiti biag dagiti assawam, ken dagiti biag dagiti assawam a tagabu
And Joab went in to the king, into the house, and said, You have this day shamed the faces of all your servants that have delivered you this day, and [have saved] the lives of your sons and of your daughters, and the lives of your wives, and of your concubines,
6 gapu ta ay-ayatem dagiti gumurgura kenka, ken gurguraem dagiti agay-ayat kenka. Gapu ta impakitam ita nga aldaw nga awan serserbida kenka dagiti pangulo ken dagiti soldado. Ita nga aldaw mamatiak a no nabiag ni Absalom, ken nataykami amin, ket dayta ti mangparagsak kenka.
forasmuch as you love them that hate you, and hate them that love you; and you have this day declared, that your princes and your servants are nothing [in your sight]: for I know this day, that if Abessalom were alive, [and] all of us dead today, then it would have been right in your sight.
7 Ita ngarud, tumakderka ket rummuarka ket makitungtongka a nasayaat kadagiti soldadom, ta isapatak iti nagan ni Yahweh, no saanka a mapan, awan ti uray maysa a tao a mabati kenka ita a rabii. Dakdakesto dayta para kenka ngem kadagiti amin a didigra a napasamak kenka sipud pay kinaagtutubom inggana ita.”
And now arise, and go forth, and speak comfortably to your servants; for I have sworn by the Lord, that unless you will go forth today, there shall not a man remain with you this night: and know for yourself, this thing [will] indeed [be] evil to you beyond all the evil that has come upon you from your youth until now.
8 Isu a napan ti ari ket nagtugaw iti ruangan ti siudad, ket naibaga kadagiti amin a tattao, “Kitaenyo, agtugtugaw ti ari iti ruangan.” Ket napan dagiti amin a tattao iti sangoanan ti ari. Kabayatanna, idiay Israel, nagkamang ti tunggal tao iti pagtaenganna.
Then the king arose, and sat in the gate: and all the people reported, saying, Behold, the king sits in the gate. And all the people went in before the king to the gate; for Israel had fled every man to his tent.
9 Agsisinnuppiat iti tunggal maysa dagiti amin a tattao kadagiti amin a tribu ti Israel nga ibagbagada, “Inispalnatayo ti ari kadagiti ima dagiti kabusortayo. Insalakannatayo kadagiti ima dagiti Filisteo ket ita, intarayanna ti pagilian gapu kenni Absalom.
And all the people disputed among all the tribes of Israel, saying, King David delivered us from all our enemies, and he rescued us from the hand of the Philistines: and now he has fled from the land, and from his kingdom, and from Abessalom.
10 Ket ni Absalom a pinulutantayo a mangituray kadatayo, ket natay iti gubatan. Isu nga apay a saantayo a pagtutungtongan iti maipapan iti pannakaisubli ti ari?”
And Abessalom, whom we anointed over us, is dead in battle: and now why are you silent about bringing back the king? And the word of all Israel came to the king.
11 Nangibaun ni Ari David iti mensahero kadda Zadok ken Abiatar a papadi a kunana, “Katungtongyo dagiti panglakayen ti Juda ket ibagayo kadakuada, “Apay a dakayo ti maudi a mangisubli iti ari iti palasiona, gapu kadi iti panagtutungtong ti entero nga Israel ket anamonganda ti ari, nga isublida isuna iti palasiona?
And king David sent to Sadoc and Abiathar the priests, saying, Speak to the elders of Israel, saying, Why are you the last to bring back the king to his house? whereas the word of all Israel is come to the king to his house.
12 Dakayo dagiti kakabsatko, ti lasag ken tulangko. Apay ngarud a dakayo ti maudi a mangisubli iti ari?
You [are] my brethren, you [are] my bones and my flesh: why are you the last to bring back the king to his house?
13 Ken ibagayo kenni Amasa, 'Saan kadi a sika ti lasag ken tulangko? Dusaennak ti Dios, ken ad-adda pay, no saan a sika ti isukatko kenni Joab a kapitan ti armadak manipud ita.”'
And you shall say to Amessai, [Are] you not my bone and my flesh? and now God do so to me, and more also, if you shall not be commander of the host before me continually in the room of Joab.
14 Ket nagun-odna dagiti puso dagiti amin a tattao ti Juda, kasla nga isuda ti puso ti maysa a tao, isu a nangibaonda iti napan iti ari a kunada, “Agsublika, sika ken dagiti amin a tattaom.”
And he bowed the heart of all the men of Juda as that of one man; and they sent to the king, saying, Return you, and all your servants.
15 Isu a nagsubli ti ari ket dimteng idiay Jordan. Ket dimteng idiay Gilgal dagiti tattao a taga-Juda tapno sabtenda ti ari, tapno kadduaanda ti ari nga agballasiw iti Jordan.
And the king returned, and came as far as Jordan. And the men of Juda came to Galgala on their way to meet the king, to cause the king to pass over Jordan.
16 Nagdardaras a simmalog ni Simei a putot ni Gera, a Benjaminita, a taga-Bahurim, a kaduana dagiti tattao ti Juda tapno sabtenda ni Ari David.
And Semei the son of Gera, the Benjamite, of Baurim, hasted and went down with the men of Juda to meet king David.
17 Kaduana ti sangaribu a tattao a nagtaud iti Benjamin, ni Ziba nga adipen ni Saul, dagiti sangapulo ket lima a putotna a lallaki ken kaduana pay dagiti duapulo nga adipen. Binallasiwda ti Jordan a kaduada ti ari.
And a thousand men of Benjamin [were] with him, and Siba the servant of the house of Saul, and his fifteen sons with him, and his twenty servants with him: and they went directly down to Jordan before the king,
18 Bimmallasiwda tapno iballasiwda ti pamilia ti ari ken tapno aramidenna ti aniaman nga ammona a nasayaat. Nagkurno iti sangoanan ti ari ni Simei a putot a lalaki ni Gera sakbay a rinugianna ti agballasiw iti Jordan.
and they performed the service of bringing the king over; and there went over a ferry-boat to remove the household of the king, and to do that which was right in his eyes. And Semei the son of Gera fell on his face before the king, as he went over Jordan;
19 Kinuna ni Simei iti ari, “Saanmo koman a kitaen a nagbasolak, apok, wenno saanmo koman a lagipen ti sisusukir nga inaramid daytoy adipenmo iti aldaw a pinanawan ti apok nga ari ti Jerusalem. Pangaasim, saan koma nga ipapuso ti ari daytoy.
and said to the king, Let not my lord now impute iniquity, and remember not all the iniquity of your servant in the day in which my lord went out from Jerusalem, so that the king should mind it.
20 Ta ammo daytoy adipenmo a nagbasolak. Kitaem, isu a siak ti immuna a simmalog ita nga aldaw manipud kadagiti amin a pamilia ni Jose a mangsabat iti apok nga ari.”
For your servant knows that I have sinned: and, behold, I am come today before all Israel and the house of Joseph, to go down and meet my lord the king.
21 Ngem simmungbat ni Abisai a putot ni Zeruyas ket kinunana, “Saan kadi a rumbeng a mapapatay ni Simei gapu iti daytoy, gapu ta inlunodna ti pinulotan ni Yahweh?”
And Abessai the son of Saruia answered and said, Shall not Semei therefore be put to death, because he cursed the Lord's anointed?
22 Ket kinuna ni David, “Ania ti aramidek kadakayo, dakayo a putot ni Zeruyas, tapno rumbeng nga agbalinkayo a kabusorko ita? Mapapatay kadi ti siasinoman a tao ditoy Israel ita? Ta saanko kadi nga ammo nga ita nga aldaw ket siak ti ari iti entero nga Israel?”
And David said, What have I to do with you, you sons of Saruia, that you as it were lie in wait against me this day? today no man in Israel shall be put to death, for I know not if I this day reign over Israel.
23 Isu nga imbaga ti ari kenni Simei, “Saanka a matay.” Isu a nagkari ti ari kenkuana nga addaan iti panagsapata.
And the king said to Semei, You shall not die: and the king swore to him.
24 Ket simmalog ni Mefiboset nga anak ni Saul tapno sabtenna ti ari. Saanna a dinalusan dagiti sakana, wenno pinukisan ti barbasna, wenno linabaan dagiti pagan-anayna manipud iti aldaw a pimmanaw ti ari inggana iti aldaw a nagawid isuna nga addaan iti talna.
And Memphibosthe the son of Saul's son went down to meet the king, and had not dressed his feet, nor pared his nails, nor shaved himself, neither had he washed his garments, from the day that the king departed, until the day when he arrived in peace.
25 Ket isu nga idi naggapo isuna idiay Jerusalem tapno sabtenna ti ari, kinuna ti ari kenkuana, “Apay a saanka a kimmuyog kaniak, Mefiboset?”
And it came to pass when he went into Jerusalem to meet the king, that the king said to him, Why did you not go with me, Memphibosthe?
26 Insungbatna, “Apok nga ari, inallilawnak ti adipenko, ta kinunak, 'Silyaak ti maysa nga asno tapno mapagsakayak ket sumurotak iti ari, gapu ta pilay daytoy adipenmo.'
And Memphibosthe said to him, My lord, O king, my servant deceived me; for your servant said to him, Saddle me the ass, and I will ride upon it, and go with the king; for your servant [is] lame.
27 Ngem dinadael ni Ziba nga adipenko ti dayawko, siak nga adipenmo, kenka nga apok nga ari. Ngem kasla anghel ti Dios ti apok nga ari. Ngarud, aramidem no ania ti nasayaat iti panagkitam.
And he has dealt deceitfully with your servant to my lord the king: but my lord the king [is] as an angel of God, and do you that which is good in your eyes.
28 Gapu ta, iti imatang ti apok nga ari, amin dagiti tattao ti balay ti amak ket natayen, ngem impalubosmo a makipangan daytoy adipenmo kadagiti nangan iti lamisaanmo. Ania pay ngarud ti karbengak nga agsangit iti ari?
For all the house of my father were but as dead men before my lord the king; yet you have set your servant among them that eat at your table: and what right have I any longer even to cry to the king?
29 Ket kinuna ti ari kenkuana, “Apay nga agpalawagka pay laeng? Ingkeddengkon a pagbingayanyo kenni Ziba dagiti taltalon.”
And the king said to him, Why speak you any longer of your matters? I have said, You and Siba shall divide the land.
30 Isu a simmungbat ni Mefiboset iti ari, “Wen, bay-am nga alaenna amin daytoy, gapu ta dimteng a sitatalged ti apok nga ari iti bukodna a pagtaengan.”
And Memphibosthe said to the king, Yes, let him take all, since my lord the king has come in peace to his house.
31 Ket simmalog ni Barzillai a Gileadita manipud sadiay Rogelim tapno makipagballasiw iti ari idiay Jordan, ket kinadduaanna ti ari a napan idiay Jordan.
And Berzelli the Galaadite came down from Rogellim, and crossed over Jordan with the king, that he might conduct the king over Jordan.
32 Lakay unay itan ni Barzillai, walo pulo ti tawennan. Intedna iti ari dagiti kasapulanna kabayatan ti panagnaedna sadiay Mahanaim, gapu ta nabaknang unay isuna a tao.
And Berzelli was a very old man, eighty years old; and he had maintained the king when he lived in Manaim; for he was a very great man.
33 Kinuna ti ari kenni Barzillai, “Sumurotka kaniak, ket ipaayko kenka dagiti masapulmo iti pannakipagnaedmo kaniak idiay Jerusalem.”
And the king said to Berzelli, You shall go over with me, and I will nourish your old age with me in Jerusalem.
34 Simmungbat ni Barzillai iti ari, “Mano nga aldaw ti nabatbati kadagiti tawtawen iti biagko, a masapul a sumurotak iti ari idiay Jerusalem?
And Berzelli said to the king, How many [are] the days of the years of my life, that I should go up with the king to Jerusalem?
35 Walo pulo ti tawenkon. Mailasinko kadi pay ti naimbag ken dakes? Mananam kadi pay daytoy adipenmo ti kanek ken inumek? Mangngegko kadi pay ti timek dagiti agkankanta a lallaki ken babbai? Apay a rumbeng nga agbalin daytoy adipenmo a dadagsen iti apok nga ari?
I am this day eighty years old: can I then distinguish between good and evil? Can your servant taste any longer what I eat or drink? can I any longer hear the voice of singing men or singing women? and therefore shall your servant any longer be a burden to my lord the king?
36 Kayat laeng daytoy adipenmo iti kumuyog iti ari nga agballasiw iti Jordan. Apay a rumbeng a subadannak ti ari iti kastoy a gunguna?
Your servant will go a little way over Jordan with the king: and why does the king return me this recompense?
37 Pangaasim ta ipalubosmo nga agawid iti pagtaenganna daytoy adipenmo, tapno matayak iti bukodko a siudad ket maitanemak iti nakaitaneman ti amak ken ti inak. Ngem kitaem, adtoy ti adipenmo a ni Kimham. Bay-am a makipagballasiw isuna iti apok nga ari, ket aramidem kenkuana ti ammom a nasayaat.”
Let, I pray you, your servant remain, and I will die in my city, by the tomb of my father and of my mother. And, behold, your servant Chamaam shall go over with my lord the king; and do you to him as it seems good in your eyes.
38 Insungbat ti ari, “Kumuyog kaniak ni Kimham nga agballasiw, ket aramidek kenkuana no ania ti ammom a nasayaat, ken no aniaman ti tarigagayam kaniak, aramidek dayta para kenka.”
And the king said, Let Chamaam go over with me, and I will do to him what is good in my sight; and whatever you shall choose at my hand, I will do for you.
39 Ket bimmallasiw dagiti amin a tattao iti Jordan, bimmallasiw met ti ari, inagkan ti ari ni Barzillai ket binendisionanna isuna. Ket nagawid ni Barzillai iti bukodna a pagtaengan.
And all the people went over Jordan, and the king went over; and the king kissed Berzelli, and blessed him; and he returned to his place.
40 Isu a bimmallasiw ti ari a nagturong idiay Gilgal, ket nakipagballasiw ni Kimham kenkuana. Imballasiw dagiti amin nga armada ti Juda ken ti kagudua ti armada ti Israel ti ari.
And the king went over to Galgala, and Chamaam went over with him: and all the men of Juda went over with the king, and also half the people of Israel.
41 Dagus a rinugian dagiti amin a tattao ti Israel ti napan iti ari ket kinunada, “Apay nga inlibasdakayo dagiti kakabsatmi, dagiti tattao ti Juda, ket imballasiwda ti ari ken ti pamiliana iti Jordan, ken kasta met dagiti tattao ni David a kakaduana?”
And behold, all the men of Israel came to the king, and said to the king, Why have our brethren the men of Juda stolen you away, and caused the king and all his house to pass over Jordan, and all the men of David with him?
42 Sinungbatan ngarud dagiti tattao ti Juda dagiti tattao ti Israel, “Gapu ta as-asideg a kabagianmi ti ari. Apay ngarud ta makaungetkayo gapu iti daytoy? Nangankami kadi iti aniaman a binayadan ti ari? Inikkannakami kadi iti aniaman a sagsagut?”
And all the men of Juda answered the men of Israel, and said, Because the king is near of kin to us: and why were you thus angry concerning this matter? have we indeed eaten of the king's food? or has he given us a gift, or has he sent us a portion?
43 Sinungbatan dagiti tattao ti Israel dagiti tattao ti Juda, “Addaankami iti sangapulo a tribu a kabagian ti ari, isu a dakdakkel ti karbenganmi kenni David ngem dakayo. Apay ngarud nga inumsidakami? Saankadi a ti dawatmi a maisubli ti ari ti immuna a nangngeg?” Ngem nagubgubsang dagiti sao dagiti tattao ti Juda ngem dagiti sao dagiti tattao ti Israel.
And the men of Israel answered the men of Juda, and said, We have ten parts in the king, and we are older than you, we have also an interest in David above you: and why have you thus insulted us, and why was not our advice taken before that of Juda, to bring back our king? And the speech of the men of Juda was sharper than the speech of the men of Israel.
