1 Tesalonica 5
1 Ita, maipanggep kadagiti tiempo ken panawen, kakabsat, saanen a masapul iti aniaman a banag a maisurat kadakayo.
But of the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need that I write to you.

For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.
3 No ibagada a, “Kapia ken kinatalged,” ket kellaat a pannakadadael ti umayto kadakuada. Daytoy ket kaslanto iti sakit ti panagpasikal ti masikog. Awanto ti pamuspusan a makalibasda.
For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction comes on them, as travail on a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
4 Ngem dakayo, kakabsat, awankayo iti kinasipnget tapno maunaannakayo iti dayta nga aldaw a kas iti agtatakaw.
But you, brothers, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
5 Ta annaknayo amin ti lawag ken annak ti aldaw. Saantayo nga annak ti rabii wenno ti kinasipnget.
You are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
6 No kasta ngarud, saantayo koma a matmaturog a kas iti ar-aramiden dagiti dadduma. Ngem ketdi, agpalpaliiwtayo latta ken agteppel.
Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
8 Ngem gapu ta annaknatayo iti aldaw, agteppeltayo. Ikabiltayo ti kalasag ti barukong iti pammati ken ayat, ken iti helmet, isu iti nakaisiguradoan iti pannakaisalakan.
But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

For God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.

Why comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also you do.

And we beseech you, brothers, to know them which labor among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;
13 Dawatenmi pay kadakayo nga utobenyo ida a raemen iti kasta unay a panagayat gapu iti trabahoda. Makikapiakayo kadagiti kakaduayo.
And to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. And be at peace among yourselves.
14 Ballakadandakayo, kakabsat: ballaaganyo dagiti awan urnosna, papigsaenyo dagiti naupay, tulonganyo dagiti nakapsut, anusanyo iti amin.
Now we exhort you, brothers, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.
15 Kitaenyo ta awan koma iti agibales ti dakes iti dakes iti siasinoman. Ngem ketdi, ikarigatanyo nga aramiden iti nasayaat para iti tunggal maysa ken para iti amin.
See that none render evil for evil to any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
16 Agrao-okayo a kankanayon.
Rejoice ever more.
17 Dikay agsardeng nga agkararag.
Pray without ceasing.
18 Pagyamananyo ti tunggal banag, Ta daytoy ti pagayatan ti Dios kenni Cristo Jesus para kadakayo.
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
19 Saanyo a sebseban ti Espiritu.
Quench not the Spirit.
20 Diyo laisen dagiti padto.
Despise not prophesyings.
21 Padasenyo dagiti amin a banbanag. Salimetmetanyo ti naimbag.
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
22 Liklikanyo iti aniaman a kita iti dakes.
Abstain from all appearance of evil.
23 Sapay koma ta naan-anay a pasantoennakayo ti Dios iti kapia. Sapay koma ta mataginayon ti sibubukel nga espiritu, kararua ken bagi nga awan ti pakapilawan para iti iyuumay ni Apotayo a ni Jesu-Cristo.
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
24 Napudno isuna a nangayab kadakayo, ti met laeng mangaramid iti dayta.
Faithful is he that calls you, who also will do it.
25 Kakabsat, ikararagandakami met.
Brothers, pray for us.
26 Kablaawanyo amin dagiti kakabsat babaen iti nasantoan nga agek.
Greet all the brothers with an holy kiss.
27 Dawatek babaen iti Apo nga ibasayo daytoy a surat kadagiti amin a kakabsat.
I charge you by the Lord that this letter be read to all the holy brothers.
28 Sapay koma ta adda kadakayo ti parabur ni Apotayo a Jesu-Cristo.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
