1 Juan 5

1 Siasinoman a mamati a ni Jesus ti Cristo ket naipasngay iti Dios. Ken siasinoman a mangay-ayat kenkuana a nagtaud iti ama ket ay-ayatenna met dagiti annakna.

Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is begotten of God: and whosoever loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.

2 Babaen iti daytoy, ammotayo nga ay-ayatentayo dagiti annak ti Dios, no ay-ayatentayo ti Dios ken ar-aramidentayo dagiti bilinna.

Hereby we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and do his commandments.

3 Ta daytoy ti panagayat a maipaay iti Dios - ti panangtungpaltayo kadagiti bilbilinna. Ken saan a makapadagsen dagiti bilinna.

For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

4 Ta amin a naipasngay iti Dios ket mapagballigianda ti lubong. Ken daytoy ti balligi a nangparmek iti lubong, ti pammatitayo.

For whatsoever is begotten of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that hath overcome the world, [even] our faith.

5 Siasino ti mangparparmek iti lubong? Ti mamati a ni Jesus ket ti Anak ti Dios?

And who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

6 Isuna daydiay immay babaen iti danum ken dara -ni Jesu-Cristo. Saan laeng isuna nga immay babaen iti danum, ngem babaen iti danum ken dara.

This is he that came by water and blood, [even] Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and with the blood.

7 Ta adda dagiti tallo nga agsaksi,

And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is the truth.

8 ti Espiritu, ti danum ken ti dara. Dagitoy a tallo ket umanamong iti maysa ken maysa.

For there are three who bear witness, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and the three agree in one.

9 No awatentayo ti panangsaksi dagiti tao, ad-adda pay a natan-ok ti saksi ti Dios. Ta ti pammaneknek ti Dios ket daytoy - nga isuna ket nagbalin a saksi mainaig iti Anakna.

If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for the witness of God is this, that he hath borne witness concerning his Son.

10 Isuna a mamati iti Anak ti Dios ket addaan iti pammaneknek iti bagina. Isuna a saan a mamati iti Dios ket pinagbalinda isuna nga ulbod, gapu ta saan isuna a namati kadagiti saksi nga inted ti Dios mainaig iti Anakna.

He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in him: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he hath not believed in the witness that God hath borne concerning his Son.

11 Ken ti saksi ket daytoy - nga inted ti Dios kadatayo ti agnanayon a biag, ken daytoy a biag ket adda iti Anakna. (aiōnios g166)

And the witness is this, that God gave unto us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. (aiōnios g166)

12 Isuna nga adda kenkuana ti Anak ket adda kenkuana ti biag; isuna nga awan kenkuana ti Anak ti Dios ket awan kenkuana ti biag.

He that hath the Son hath the life; he that hath not the Son of God hath not the life.

13 Insuratko dagitoy a banbanag kadakayo, tapno maammoanyo koma nga addaankayo iti agnanayon a biag, kadakayo a mamati iti nagan ti Anak ti Dios. (aiōnios g166)

These things have I written unto you, that ye may know that ye have eternal life, [even] unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God. (aiōnios g166)

14 Ken daytoy ti kinatalged nga adda kadatayo iti sangoananna, a no dumawattayo iti aniaman a maiyannatup iti pagayatanna, denggennatayo.

And this is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us:

15 Ken no ammotayo a dengdenggennatayo - aniaman a dawatentayo kenkuana - ammotayo nga awatentayo ti aniaman nga idawattayo kenkuana.

and if we know that he heareth us whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.

16 No adda man ti makakita a nagbasol ti kabsatna iti basol a saan nga agtungpal iti ipapatay, masapul nga agkararag isuna, ket ikkan isuna ti Dios iti biag. Ti dakdakamatek ket dagiti agbasbasol a saan nga agtungpal iti ipapatay. Adda basol nga agtungpal iti ipapatay. Saanko nga ibagbaga a masapul nga agkararag isuna mainaig iti dayta.

If any man see his brother sinning a sin not unto death, he shall ask, and [God] will give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: not concerning this do I say that he should make request.

17 Amin a kinakillo ket basol; ngem adda basol a saan nga agtungpal iti ipapatay.

All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.

18 Ammotayo a siasinoman a naipasngay iti Dios ket saan nga agbasol. Ngem isuna a naipasngay iti Dios ket iliklik isuna ti Dios manipud iti kinadakes, ket saan isuna a madangran ti diablo.

We know that whosoever is begotten of God sinneth not; but he that was begotten of God keepeth himself, and the evil one toucheth him not.

19 Ammotayo a datayo ket iti Dios, ken ti sangalubongan ket adda iti tengngel daydiay managdakdakes.

We know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in the evil one.

20 Ngem ammotayo a ti Anak ti Dios ket immay ken intedna kadatayo iti pannakaawat, nga am-ammotayo isuna a pudno, ken addatayo kenkuana a pudno, iti Anakna a ni Jesu-Cristo. Isuna ti pudno a Dios ken ti agnanayon a biag. (aiōnios g166)

And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, [even] in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. (aiōnios g166)

21 Patpatgek nga annak, iliklikyo dagiti bagbagiyo kadagiti didiosen.

[My] little children, guard yourselves from idols.
