1 Kitaenyo no ania a kita ti panagayat ti impaay kadatayo ti Ama, nga uray la naawagantayo iti annak ti Dios, ken daytoy ti kinasiasinotayo! Gapu iti daytoy, saannatayo nga am-ammo ti lubong, gapu ta saan isuna nga am-ammo ti lubong.
Behold, what manner of love, the Father hath bestowed upon us—that, children of God, we should be called, —and such we are! Therefore, the world understandeth us not, because it understood not him.
2 Ay-ayatek, ita ket annaknatayon ti Dios, ken saanpay a naiparangarang no anianto ti pagbalinantayo. Ammotayo nga inton agparang ni Cristo, agbalintayonto a kas kenkuana, ta makitatayonto isuna iti kinasiasinona.
Beloved! now, are we, children of God; and, not yet, hath it been made manifest, what we shall be, —We know that, if it should be made manifest, like unto him, shall we be, because we shall see him, just as he is.
3 Ken amin nga addaan iti kastoy a kinatalged kenkuana maipanggep iti masakbayan ket paspasin-awenna ti bagina a kas met kenkuana a nasin-aw.
And, whosoever hath this hope on him, is purifying himself, just as, He, is pure.
4 Amin nga agtultuloy iti panagbasol ket agar-aramid iti aramid nga awanan-linteg. Ta ti basol ket kinaawan-linteg.
Whosoever is committing sin, lawlessness also, is committing, and, sin, is, lawlessness;
5 Ammoyo a ni Cristo ket naipakaammo tapno mangikkat kadagiti basbasol. Ket kenkuana, awan ti basol.
And ye know, that, He, was made manifest—in order that, our sins, he should take away, and, sin, in him, is there none.
6 Awan ti agtalinaed kenkuana nga agtultuloy iti panagbasol. Awan ti siasinoman nga agtultuloy nga agbasbasol a nakakita kenkuana wenno nakaam-amo kenkuana.
Whosoever, in him, doth abide, is not sinning: whosoever is sinning, hath not seen him, and doth not understand him.
7 Patpatgek nga annak, saanyo nga itulok nga adda mangiyaw-awan kadakayo. Isuna nga agar-aramid iti kinalinteg ket nalinteg, a kas kenni Cristo a nalinteg.
Dear children! Let, no one, lead you astray! He that is doing righteousness, is, righteous, just as, He, is righteous:
8 Isuna nga agar-aramid iti basol ket kukua ti diablo, ta ti diablo ket nagbasol manipud idi punganay. Daytoy ti makagapu a naiparangarang ti Anak ti Dios, tapno dadaelenna dagiti trabaho ti diablo.
He that is committing sin, is, of the adversary, because, from the beginning, the adversary is sinning. To this end, was the Son of God made manifest, in order that he might undo the works of the adversary.
9 Siasinoman a naipasngay iti Dios ket saan nga agbasol, gapu ta agtaltalinaed kenkuana ti bukel ti Dios. Saan isuna a makapagtultuloy nga agbasol, gapu ta naipasngay isuna iti Dios.
Whosoever hath been born of God, is not committing, sin, because, a seed of him, within him, abideth; and he cannot be committing sin, because, of God, hath he been born.
10 Iti daytoy, dagiti annak ti Dios ken dagiti annak ti diablo ket naiparangarang. Siasinoman a saan a mangaramid iti nalinteg ket saan a naggapu iti Dios, uray ti saan a mangay-ayat iti kabsatna.
Herein, are, manifest, the children of God, and the children of the adversary: Whoever is not doing righteousness, is not of God, nor yet he that is not loving his brother.
11 Ta daytoy ti mensahe a nangngeganyo manipud idi punganay, a masapul nga agiinnayattayo,
Because, this, is the message which ye have heard from the beginning—that we should be loving one another, —
12 saan a kas kenni Cain a kukua ti diablo ken nangpatay iti kabsatna a lalaki. Ken apay a pinatayna isuna? Gapu ta dagiti aramidna ket dakes, ket dagiti aramid ti kabsatna a lalaki ket nalinteg.
Not just as, Cain, was, of the wicked one, and slew his brother! And, for what cause, slew he him? Because, his works, were, wicked, whereas, those of his brother, were, righteous.
13 Saankayo nga agsiddaaw, kakabsatko, no kaguradakayo ti lubong.
Be not marveling, brethren, if, the world, is hating you:
14 Ammotayo a nakalasattayon manipud iti patay ket addatayon iti biag, gapu ta ay-ayatentayo dagiti kakabsat. Siasinoman a saan nga agayat ket agtalinaed iti patay.
We, know, that we have passed over out of death into life, because we love the brethren: he that loveth not, abideth in death.
15 Siasinoman a manggura iti kabsatna ket mammapatay. Ket ammoyo a ti agnanayon a biag ket saan nga agtalinaed iti mammapatay. (aiōnios g166)
Whosoever is hating his brother, is, a murderer; and ye know that, no murderer, hath life age-during, within him abiding. (aiōnios g166)
16 Babaen iti daytoy nga ammotayo ti ayat, gapu ta inted ni Cristo ti biagna gapu kadatayo. Rebbengtayo met ngarud nga ipaay dagiti biagtayo para kadagiti kakabsat.
Hereby, have we come to understand love: in that, He, for us, his life laid down; and, we, ought, for the brethren, our lives to lay down.
17 Ngem kasano a maibaga nga adda ti ayat ti Dios iti siasinoman nga addaan kadagiti banbanag iti lubong a makakita iti kabsatna nga agkasapulan, ngem iserrana met ti manangngaasi a pusona iti agkasapulan iti tulongna?
But, whoso hath this world’s goods, and beholdeth his brother having, need, and shutteth up his tender affections from him, how, is, the love of God, abiding in him?
18 Patpatgek nga annak, saantayo nga agayat iti sao laeng wenno iti dila, ngem iti aramid ken kinapudno.
Dear children! Let us not be loving in word, nor yet with the tongue, but in deed and truth.
19 Babaen iti daytoy nga ammotayo nga addatayo iti kinapudno ken patalgedentayo ti pusotayo iti sanggoananna.
Hereby, shall we get to know, that, of the truth, we are, and, before him, shall persuade our heart;
20 Gapu ta no akusarannatayo ti pusotayo, dakdakkel ti Dios ngem ti pusotayo, ken ammona ti amin a banag.
Because, if our own heart condemn us, greater, is God, than our heart, and perceiveth all things.
21 Ay-ayatek, no saannatayo nga akusaran dagiti pusotayo, addaantayo iti kinatalged iti Dios.
Beloved! if our heart be not condemning us, boldness, have we, towards God;
22 Ken aniaman a dawatentayo ket awatentayo manipud kenkuana, gapu ta tungtungpalentayo dagiti bilinna ken ar-aramidentayo dagiti banbanag a makaay-ayo iti imatangna.
And, whatsoever we are asking, we are receiving from him, because, his commandments, are we keeping, and, the things that are pleasing before him, are we doing.
23 Ken daytoy ti bilinna, a masapul a mamatitayo iti nagan ti Anakna a ni Jesu-Cristo ken agiinnayattayo - gapu ta intedna kadatayo daytoy a bilin.
And, this, is his commandment, —that we should believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and be loving one another—just as he gave a commandment unto us.
24 Isuna a mangtungtungpal kadagiti bilbilin ti Dios ket agtalinaed kenkuana, ken agtaltalinaed ti Dios kenkuana. Ken babaen iti daytoy nga ammotayo nga agtaltalinaed isuna kadatayo, babaen iti Espiritu nga intedna kadatayo.
And, he that keepeth his commandments, in him, abideth, and, he, in him. And, hereby, perceive we, that he abideth in us, by reason of the Spirit which, unto us, he hath given.
