1 Nʼoge ahụ, igwe mmadụ ọzọ zukọrọ. Ebe ha na-enweghị ihe ha ga-eri, ọ kpọrọ ndị na-eso ụzọ ya sị ha,
In those days, when there was a very great multitude, and they had nothing to eat, Yeshua [Salvation] called his disciples to himself, and said to them,
2 “Enwere m ọmịiko nʼebe igwe mmadụ ndị a nọ. Nke a na-eme ya ụbọchị atọ anyị na ha nọ. Ugbu a, ha enweghị ihe ha ga-eri.
“I have compassion on the multitude, because they have stayed with me now three days, and have nothing to eat.
3 Ọ bụrụ na m ezilaga ha nʼụlọ ha, ụfọdụ nʼime ha ga-ada nʼụzọ nʼihi agụụ. Nʼihi na ụfọdụ ha si nʼebe dị anya bịa.”
If I send them away fasting to their home, they will faint on the way, for some of them have come a long way.”
His disciples answered him, “From where could one satisfy these people with bread here in a deserted place?”
He asked them, “How many loaves do you have?” They said, “Seven.”
He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground, and he took the seven loaves. Having given thanks, he broke them, and gave them to his disciples to serve, and they served the multitude.
They had a few small fish. Having blessed them, he said to serve these also.
8 Ha riri, rijuo afọ. Ha tụtụkọtara iberibe achịcha dafuru nʼebe ndị a nọ rie nri. Ha tụtụjuru nkata asaa.
They ate, and were filled. They took up seven baskets of broken pieces that were left over.
9 Ndị riri nri a ruru ihe dịka puku mmadụ anọ. Mgbe ahụ o zilagara ha.
Those who had eaten were about four thousand. Then he sent them away.
Immediately he entered into the boat with his disciples, and came into the region of Dalmanutha.
11 Ndị Farisii bịakwutere ya malite nrụrịta ụka, na-achọ ihe ịrịbama si nʼeluigwe, iji nwalee ya.
The Pharisees [Separated] came out and began to question him, seeking from him a sign from heaven, and testing him.
12 Ọ sụrụ ude nke ukwuu nʼime onwe ya sị, “Gịnị mere ọgbọ a ji achọ ihe ịrịbama? Nʼezie, nʼezie, agwa m unu, o nweghị ihe ịrịbama a ga-egosi ọgbọ a.”
He sighed deeply in his spirit, and said, “Why does this generation seek a sign? Most certainly I tell you, no sign will be given to this generation.”
13 Ọ hapụrụ ha nʼebe ahụ banyekwa nʼụgbọ mmiri ọzọ, ịgafe nʼofe ọzọ nke osimiri ahụ.
He left them, and again entering into the boat, departed to the other side.
14 Ndị na-eso ụzọ ya chefuru iwere achịcha. Ọ bụ naanị otu ogbe achịcha fọdụụrụ ha nʼime ụgbọ.
They forgot to take bread; and they didn’t have more than one loaf in the boat with them.
15 Ọ dọrọ ha aka na ntị sị, “Kpacharanụ anya. Lepụnụ anya maka ihe na-eko achịcha ndị Farisii na nke Herọd.”
He warned them, saying, “Take heed: beware of the yeast of the Pharisees [Separated] and the yeast of Herod [Heroic].”
16 Ha kparịtara ụka nʼetiti onwe ha na-asị, “Ọ bụ nʼihi na anyị enweghị achịcha.”
They reasoned with one another, saying, “It’s because we have no bread.”
17 Mgbe Jisọs ghọtara isi mkparịta ụka ha, ọ jụrụ ha sị, “Gịnị mere unu ji na-ekwu okwu maka enweghị achịcha? Ọ pụtara na unu adịghị ahụ maọbụ aghọta? Obi unu o siri ike?
Yeshua [Salvation], perceiving it, said to them, “Why do you reason that it’s because you have no bread? Don’t you perceive yet, neither understand? Is your heart still hardened?
18 Unu nwere anya nke na-adịghị ahụ ụzọ? Unu nwere ntị ma unu adịghị anụ ihe? Ọ ga-abụ na unu adịghị echeta?
Having eyes, don’t you see? Having ears, don’t you hear? Don’t you remember?
When I broke the five loaves among the five thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up?” They told him, “Twelve.”
20 “Mgbe m ji ogbe achịcha asaa zụọ puku mmadụ anọ, iberibe achịcha juru nkata ole ka unu tụtụkọtara?” Ha zara sị ya, “Nkata asaa.”
“When the seven loaves fed the four thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up?” They told him, “Seven.”
21 Ọ sịrị ha, “Unu ka nọ na-enweghị nghọta?”
He asked them, “Don’t you understand, yet?”
He came to Bethsaida. They brought a blind man to him, and begged him to touch him.
23 Ọ duuru onye ìsì ahụ nʼaka pụọ nʼazụ obodo. Mgbe ahụ, ọ gbụsara ọnụ mmiri nʼanya ya metụkwa ya aka nʼanya. Ọ jụrụ ya sị, “Ị na-ahụ ihe ọbụla?”
He took hold of the blind man by the hand, and brought him out of the village. When he had spit on his eyes, and laid his hands on him, he asked him if he saw anything.
He looked up, and said, “I see men; for I see them like trees walking.”
25 Nke ugboro abụọ Jisọs metụkwara ya aka nʼanya, mgbe ahụ anya ya meghere. O bidoro ịhụ ihe niile nke ọma.
Then again he laid his hands on his eyes. He looked intently, and was restored, and saw everyone clearly.
26 Ọ zilagara ya ụlọ ya sị ya, “Abanyekwala nʼime obodo.”
He sent him away to his house, saying, “Don’t enter into the village, nor tell anyone in the village.”
27 Mgbe ahụ Jisọs na ndị na-eso ụzọ ya gara nʼobodo nta ndị ọzọ dị gburugburu Sizaria Filipai. Mgbe ha na-aga nʼụzọ, ọ jụrụ ndị na-eso ụzọ ya sị, “Onye ka ndị mmadụ na-asị na m bụ?”
Yeshua [Salvation] went out, with his disciples, into the villages of Caesarea Philippi [Ruler Loves horses]. On the way he asked his disciples, “Who do men say that I am?”
28 Ha zara ya sị, “Ụfọdụ na-asị na ị bụ Jọn omee baptizim, ndị ọzọkwa sị na ị bụ Ịlaịja maọbụ otu nʼime ndị amụma.”
They told him, “John [Yah is gracious] the Immerser, and others say Elijah [My God Yah], but others: one of the prophets.”
29 Ma ọ jụrụ ha sị, “Ma unu onwe unu, ọ bụ onye ka unu na-asị na m bụ?” Pita zara sị, “Ị bụ Kraịst ahụ.”
He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter [Rock] answered, “You are the Messiah [Anointed one].”
He commanded them that they should tell no one about him.
31 Emesịa, o bidoro izi ha ihe na Nwa nke Mmadụ aghaghị ịhụ ọtụtụ ahụhụ dị iche iche, ndị okenye, na ndịisi nchụaja na ndị ozizi iwu ga-ajụ ya, na aghaghị igbu ya, ma ọ ga-ebili nʼọnwụ mgbe ụbọchị nke atọ gasịrị.
He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests, and the Torah-Teachers, and be killed, and after three days rise again.
32 Ọ gwaghere ha ihe ndị a ọnụ. Ma Pita kpọọrọ ya pụọ nʼotu akụkụ, bido ịbara ya mba.
He spoke to them openly. Peter [Rock] took him, and began to rebuke him.
But he, turning around, and seeing his disciples, rebuked Peter [Rock], and said, “Get behind me, Satan [Adversary]! For you have in mind not the things of God, but the things of men.”
He called the multitude to himself with his disciples, and said to them, “Whoever wants to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his execution-stake, and follow me.
35 Nʼihi na onye na-azọ ndụ ya ka ọ ga-efunarị, ma onye ọbụla gụrụ ndụ ya dị ka ihe furu efu nʼihi m, na nʼihi oziọma m, ga-azọpụta ya.
For whoever wants to save his life will lose it; and whoever will lose his life for my sake and the sake of the Good News will save it.
36 Uru gịnị ka ọ ga-abara mmadụ, iritecha ụwa niile nʼuru ma tufuo ndụ ha?
For what does it profit a man, to gain the whole world, and forfeit his life?
37 Ọ dị ihe ọzọ dị nʼụwa mmadụ nwere ike iji gbanwere ndụ ya?
For what will a man give in exchange for his life?
38 Ọ bụrụ na ihere na-eme onye ọbụla nʼihi m na nʼihi okwu m nʼụwa ọjọọ a, na nʼụwa mmehie a, ihere onye ahụ ga-emekwa Nwa nke Mmadụ, mgbe ọ ga-abịaghachi nʼebube nke Nna ya, ya na ndị mmụọ ozi dị nsọ.”
For whoever will be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man also will be ashamed of him, when he comes in 'Aviv ·his Father·’s glory, with the holy angels.”
