< Luk 22 >

1 Nʼoge a, Mmemme Achịcha na-ekoghị eko nke a na-akpọ Ngabiga na-eru nso.
Now the feast of unleavened bread, which is called the Passover, was approaching.
2 Ndịisi nchụaja na ndị ozizi iwu nọkwa na-achọ ụzọ ha ga-esi gbuo ya, nʼihi na ha na-atụ egwu ndị mmadụ.
The chief priests and the scribes sought how they might put him to death, for they feared the people.
3 Mgbe ahụ, ekwensu banyere nʼime Judas, onye a na-akpọ Iskarịọt, otu nʼime mmadụ iri na abụọ na-eso ụzọ ya.
Satan entered into Judah, who was also called Iscariot, who was counted with the twelve.
He went away and talked with the chief priests and captains about how he might deliver him to them.
They were glad, and agreed to give him money.
He consented and sought an opportunity to deliver him to them in the absence of the multitude.
7 O ruo nʼụbọchị Mmemme Achịcha na-ekoghị eko ahụ bụ ụbọchị a na-eji atụrụ Ngabiga achụ aja.
The day of unleavened bread came, on which the Passover must be sacrificed.
8 O zipụrụ Pita na Jọn sị, “Gaanụ kwadoo maka oriri Ngabiga nke anyị ga-eri.”
Yeshua sent Peter and Yochanan, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat.”
They said to him, “Where do you want us to prepare?”
10 Ọ sịrị ha, “Lee, ka unu na-abata nʼobodo, otu nwoke bu ite mmiri ga-ezute unu, soronụ ya baa nʼụlọ ọbụla ọ banyere.
He said to them, “Behold, when you have entered into the city, a man carrying a pitcher of water will meet you. Follow him into the house which he enters.
11 Sịnụ onyenwe ụlọ ahụ, ‘Onye ozizi sịrị, Olee ụlọ ndị ọbịa ebe mụ na ndị na-eso ụzọ m ga-anọ rie oriri Ngabiga?’
Tell the master of the house, ‘The Rabbi says to you, “Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?”’
12 Ọ ga-egosi unu otu ọnụụlọ buru ibu dị nʼelu ụlọ nke e dozicharala ihe niile, kwadoonụ nri anyị nʼebe ahụ.”
He will show you a large, furnished upper room. Make preparations there.”
13 Ha gara chọpụta ihe niile dị ka ọ gwara ha. Ha kwadokwara nri Ngabiga ahụ.
They went, found things as Yeshua had told them, and they prepared the Passover.
When the hour had come, he sat down with the twelve emissaries.
15 Ọ sịrị ha, “Ọ gụrụ m nnọọ agụụ ka mụ na unu rie nri Ngabiga a tupu mụ ataa ahụhụ.
He said to them, “I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer,
for I tell you, I will no longer by any means eat of it until it is fulfilled in God’s Kingdom.”
17 O buru iko, mgbe o nyechara ekele ọ sịrị, “Burunu nke a kesaa nʼetiti unu.
He received a cup, and when he had given thanks, he said, “Take this and share it amongst yourselves,
18 Nʼihi na asị m unu, site ugbu a ga nʼihu, agaghị m aṅụ mmanya sitere na mkpụrụ vaịnị ọzọ, ruo mgbe alaeze Chineke ga-abịa.”
for I tell you, I will not drink at all again from the fruit of the vine, until God’s Kingdom comes.”
Na-emenụ nke a iji na-echeta m.”
He took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body which is given for you. Do this in memory of me.”
20 Nʼotu ụzọ ahụ, mgbe ha risiri nri anyasị o buuru iko sị, “Iko a bụ iko nke ọgbụgba ndụ ọhụrụ nʼọbara m, nke a na-awụpụ nʼihi unu.
Likewise, he took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.
21 Ma lee, onye ahụ nke ga-arara m nye nọnyeere m, o sokwa m na-eri nri.
But behold, the hand of him who betrays me is with me on the table.
22 Nwa nke Mmadụ na-aga ịnwụ dị ka e kpebiri ya, ma ahụhụ ga-adịrị nwoke ahụ a ga-esi nʼaka ya rara ya nye.”
The Son of Man indeed goes as it has been determined, but woe to that man through whom he is betrayed!”
23 Ha bidoro ịjụrịta onwe ha onye ọ bụ nʼetiti ha ga-eme nke a.
They began to question amongst themselves which of them it was who would do this thing.
24 Ịrụ ụka malitere nʼetiti ha banyere onye nʼime ha ka a na-agụ na ọ dị ukwuu karịa ibe ya.
A dispute also arose amongst them, which of them was considered to be greatest.
25 Ma ọ sịrị ha, “Ndị eze ndị mba ọzọ na-eji aka ike na-achị ndị nọ nʼokpuru ha. Otu aka ahụkwa, a na-akpọ ndị na-achị achị enyi ndị mmadụ.
He said to them, “The kings of the nations lord it over them, and those who have authority over them are called ‘benefactors.’
26 Ma unu onwe unu agaghị adị otu a.
But not so with you. Rather, the one who is greater amongst you, let him become as the younger, and one who is governing, as one who serves.
For who is greater, one who sits at the table, or one who serves? Isn’t it he who sits at the table? But I am amongst you as one who serves.
28 Ọ bụ unu onwe unu bụ ndị nọnyere m nʼoge ọnwụnwa m niile.
“But you are those who have continued with me in my trials.
29 Ana m enye unu alaeze dị ka Nna m nyere m ya.
I confer on you a kingdom, even as my Father conferred on me,
30 Ka unu nwe ike isoro m rie ma ṅụọkwa nʼalaeze m. Sorokwa m nọdụ nʼocheeze na-ekpe ebo iri na abụọ nke Izrel ikpe.
that you may eat and drink at my table in my Kingdom. You will sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”
31 “Saimọn, Saimọn, lee ekwensu arịọla ike ịyọcha unu dị ka ọka wiiti.
The Lord said, “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan asked to have all of you, that he might sift you as wheat,
32 Ma ekpeelara m gị ekpere ka okwukwe gị ghara ịda. Mgbe ị kwudosiri ike, gbaakwa ụmụnna gị ume.”
but I prayed for you, that your faith wouldn’t fail. You, when once you have turned again, establish your brothers.”
33 Ma ọ sịrị ya, “Onyenwe anyị, ejikeere m isoro gị gaa mkpọrọ, ma sorokwa gị nwụọ.”
He said to him, “Lord, I am ready to go with you both to prison and to death!”
34 Jisọs zara, “Agwa m gị Pita, tupu oke ọkụkụ akwaa akwa taa, ị ga-agọnarị m ugboro atọ, si na ị maghị onye m bụ.”
He said, “I tell you, Peter, the rooster will by no means crow today until you deny that you know me three times.”
35 Ọ gwara ha, “Mgbe m zipụrụ unu na mbụ sị unu ewerekwala ego, maọbụ akpa maọbụ akpụkpọụkwụ, o nwere ihe kọrọ unu?” Ha sịrị, “O nweghị ihe kọrọ anyị.”
He said to them, “When I sent you out without purse, bag, and sandals, did you lack anything?” They said, “Nothing.”
36 Ọ sịrị ha, “Ugbu a, ọ bụrụ na i nwere akpa ego, were ya, ma werekwa akpa ije. Ọ bụrụkwa na i nweghị mma agha ree uwe mgbokwasị gị zụtara onwe gị otu.
Then he said to them, “But now, whoever has a purse, let him take it, and likewise a bag. Whoever has none, let him sell his cloak, and buy a sword.
37 Nʼihi na agwa m unu, na a ga-emejupụta ihe ndị a e dere nʼakwụkwọ nsọ nʼime m, A gụkọtara ya na ndị na-emebi iwu. Nʼezie, ihe e dere banyere m eruwela mgbe ọ ga-emezu.”
For I tell you that this which is written must still be fulfilled in me: ‘He was counted with transgressors.’ For that which concerns me is being fulfilled.”
38 Ha sịrị, “Onyenwe anyị, lee mma agha abụọ dị ebe a.” Ọ sịrị ha, “Nke ahụ ezuola.”
They said, “Lord, behold, here are two swords.” He said to them, “That is enough.”
He came out and went, as his custom was, to the Mount of Olives. His disciples also followed him.
40 Mgbe o ruru nʼebe ahụ, ọ sịrị ha, “Kpeenụ ekpere ka unu ghara ịdaba nʼọnwụnwa.”
When he was at the place, he said to them, “Pray that you don’t enter into temptation.”
41 Ọ hapụrụ ha gaa ihe ha ka nzọ ụkwụ ole na ole nọrọ nʼebe ahụ gbuo ikpere nʼala kpee ekpere, sị,
He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and he knelt down and prayed,
42 “Nna ọ bụrụ na ị chọrọ, nara m iko a, ma otu ọ dị, ọ bụghị ka e mee uche m, kama ka e mezuo uche gị.”
saying, “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.”
43 Otu mmụọ ozi si nʼeluigwe bịakwutere ya, gbaakwa ya ume.
An angel from heaven appeared to him, strengthening him.
44 Site nʼoke ihe mgbu, o kpere ekpere kpesie ike, nke mere na ọsụsọ si ya nʼahụ na-adapụ nʼala dị ka ọkpụrụkpụ ọbara.
Being in agony, he prayed more earnestly. His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down on the ground.
When he rose up from his prayer, he came to the disciples and found them sleeping because of grief,
46 Ọ sịrị ha, “Gịnị mere unu ji na-arahụ ụra? Bilienụ kpee ekpere ka unu ghara ịdaba nʼọnwụnwa.”
and said to them, “Why do you sleep? Rise and pray that you may not enter into temptation.”
47 Mgbe ọ ka kpụ okwu nʼọnụ, igwe mmadụ bịara, onye du ha bụ onye a na-akpọ Judas, bụ otu nʼime mmadụ iri na abụọ ahụ na-eso ụzọ ya. Ọ bịaruru Jisọs nso, isutu ya ọnụ.
While he was still speaking, a crowd appeared. He who was called Judah, one of the twelve, was leading them. He came near to Yeshua to kiss him.
48 Ma Jisọs sịrị ya, “Judas, ọ bụ site nʼisutu ọnụ ka i ji arara Nwa nke Mmadụ nye?”
But Yeshua said to him, “Judah, do you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?”
49 Mgbe ndị nọ ya gburugburu hụrụ ihe gaje ime, ha sịrị, “Onyenwe anyị, ọ bụ anyị were mma agha gbuo?”
When those who were around him saw what was about to happen, they said to him, “Lord, shall we strike with the sword?”
50 Otu nʼime ha ji mma gbuo ohu onyeisi nchụaja, gbupụ ntị aka nri ya.
A certain one of them struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.
51 Ma Jisọs sịrị, “O zuola!” O metụkwara ntị nwoke ahụ aka gwọọ ya.
But Yeshua answered, “Let me at least do this”—and he touched his ear and healed him.
52 Mgbe ahụ, Jisọs sịrị ndịisi nchụaja, na ndị nlekọta nke ụlọnsọ ukwu na ndị okenye, “Gịnị mere unu ji chịrị mma agha na mkpọ bịa ijide m, dị ka a ga-asị na m bụ onye ohi o ji egbe ezu?
Yeshua said to the chief priests, captains of the temple, and elders, who had come against him, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs?
53 Mgbe mụ na unu na-anọ kwa ụbọchị nʼime ụlọnsọ ukwu ahụ, ma unu emetụghị m aka. Ma ugbu a bụ oge awa unu bụrụkwa mgbe ike ọchịchịrị na-achị achị.”
When I was with you in the temple daily, you didn’t stretch out your hands against me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness.”
They seized him and led him away, and brought him into the high priest’s house. But Peter followed from a distance.
55 Mgbe ha kwanyere ọkụ nʼetiti mbara ezi obi ahụ, ma nọdụ ala gba ọkụ ahụ gburugburu, Pita sokwara ha nọdụ ala.
When they had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and had sat down together, Peter sat amongst them.
56 Ka ọ na-anya ọkụ ahụ, otu nwaagbọghọ na-eje ozi hụrụ ya, o leruru ya anya nke ọma, sị, “Onye a na Jisọs nọkọrọ.”
A certain servant girl saw him as he sat in the light, and looking intently at him, said, “This man also was with him.”
57 Ma ọ gọrọ agọ sị, “Nwanyị, amaghị m onye ọ bụ.”
He denied Yeshua, saying, “Woman, I don’t know him.”
58 Mgbe oge nta gasịrị, onye ọzọ hụkwara ya kwukwaa sị, “Gị onwe gị bụkwa otu onye nʼime ha.” Ma Pita kwuru sị, “Nwoke m, abụghị m.”
After a little while someone else saw him and said, “You also are one of them!” But Peter answered, “Man, I am not!”
59 Mgbe ihe dị ka otu awa gafere, onye ọzọ bịakwara kwusie okwu ike, “Nʼezie, nwoke a so ya nʼihi na ọ bụ onye Galili.”
After about one hour passed, another confidently affirmed, saying, “Truly this man also was with him, for he is a Galilean!”
60 Pita sịrị, “Nwoke m, amaghị m ihe ị na-ekwu maka ya?” Dị ka ọ kpụ okwu ahụ nʼọnụ, oke ọkpa kwara akwa.
But Peter said, “Man, I don’t know what you are talking about!” Immediately, while he was still speaking, a rooster crowed.
61 Mgbe ahụ, Onyenwe anyị tụgharịrị lee Pita anya. Pita chetakwara okwu Onyenwe anyị gwara ya nke bụ, “Tupu oke ọkpa akwa akwa taa, ị ga-agọnarị m ugboro atọ.”
The Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the Lord’s word, how he said to him, “Before the rooster crows you will deny me three times.”
62 Ma ọ pụrụ nʼezi gaa bee akwa na mwute.
He went out, and wept bitterly.
63 Ndị ahụ na-eche ya nche bidoro na-akwa ya emo na-etikwa ya ihe.
The men who held Yeshua mocked him and beat him.
Having blindfolded him, they struck him on the face and asked him, “Prophesy! Who is the one who struck you?”
They spoke many other things against him, insulting him.
66 Mgbe chi bọrọ, nzukọ ndị okenye na ndịisi nchụaja, na ndị ozizi iwu zukọtara, a kpọtakwara Jisọs nʼihu ha.
As soon as it was day, the assembly of the elders of the people were gathered together, both chief priests and scribes, and they led him away into their council, saying,
67 Ha na-ekwu, “Ọ bụrụ na ị bụ Kraịst, gwa anyị.” Ọ sịrị ha, “Ọ bụrụ na m agwa unu, unu agaghị ekwe.
“If you are the Messiah, tell us.” But he said to them, “If I tell you, you won’t believe,
68 Ọ bụrụkwa na m ajụọ unu ajụjụ, unu agaghị aza m.
and if I ask, you will in no way answer me or let me go.
69 Ma site ugbu a gawa, Nwa nke Mmadụ ga-anọdụ ala nʼaka nri nke ike Chineke.”
From now on, the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the power of God.”
70 Ha niile sịrị, “Gị onwe gị, ị bụ Ọkpara Chineke?” Ọ sịrị ha, “Unu kwuru na Abụ m.”
They all said, “Are you then the Son of God?” He said to them, “You say it, because I am.”
71 Mgbe ahụ ha sịrị, “Gịnị mere anyị ji na-achọ onye akaebe ọzọ? Anyị ejirila ntị anyị nụrụ ya site nʼọnụ ya.”
They said, “Why do we need any more witness? For we ourselves have heard from his own mouth!”
