1 “Ahụhụ ga-adịrị ụmụ ndị nnupu isi,” otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwupụtara, “bụ ndị na-agbaso nzube nke na-esiteghị nʼaka m, ndị ha na ndị ọzọ na-agba ndụ nke Mmụọ m na-anabataghị, si otu a na-eme ka mmehie na-aba ụba nʼelu mmehie.
“Woe to the rebellious children”, says the LORD, “who take counsel, but not from me; and who make an alliance, but not with my Spirit, that they may add sin to sin;
Ndị were obi ha tụkwasị na Fero maka nchebe, chọsiekwa ike ime Ijipt ebe mgbaba.
who set out to go down into Egypt without asking for my advice, to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to take refuge in the shadow of Egypt!
3 Ma nchekwa Fero ga-aghọrọ unu ihe ihere, ndo ndị Ijipt ga-etinye unu nʼọnọdụ mweda nʼala.
Therefore the strength of Pharaoh will be your shame, and the refuge in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.
4 Ọ bụ ezie na ha nwere ndị ozi na Zoan ndị nnọchi anya ha erutekwala Hans,
For their princes are at Zoan, and their ambassadors have come to Hanes.

They shall all be ashamed because of a people that can’t profit them, that are not a help nor profit, but a shame, and also a reproach.”
6 Amụma banyere ụmụ anụmanụ bi na Negev. Nʼala ahụhụ na mkpagbu, nke ọdụm na nne ọdụm, nke ajụala na agwọ ọjọọ na-efe ka ọkụ, ndị nnọchite anya obodo na-ebu akụ ha niile nʼelu ịnyịnya ibu, na-ebukwa akụnụba ha dị oke ọnụahịa nʼelu ịnyịnya kamel, na-agakwuru mba ahụ na-abaghị uru,
The burden of the animals of the South. Through the land of trouble and anguish, of the lioness and the lion, the viper and fiery flying serpent, they carry their riches on the shoulders of young donkeys, and their treasures on the humps of camels, to an unprofitable people.
7 bụ Ijipt, ndị inyeaka ha na-enye enweghị isi. Nʼihi nke a, ana m agụ ya Rehab, onye na-enweghị ihe ọ na-arụ.
For Egypt helps in vain, and to no purpose; therefore I have called her Rahab who sits still.
8 Gaa ugbu a, dekwasịrị ha ya nʼelu mbadamba nkume, detuokwa ha nʼime akwụkwọ, ka ọ dịrị maka ụbọchị na-abịa dịka ihe akaebe ruo mgbe ebighị ebi.
Now go, write it before them on a tablet, and inscribe it in a book, that it may be for the time to come forever and ever.
9 Nʼihi na ndị a bụ ndị na-enupu isi, ụmụ aghụghọ ndị kpachaara anya jụ ịnabata ozizi Onyenwe anyị na-ezi.
For it is a rebellious people, lying children, children who will not hear the LORD’s law;
who tell the seers, “Don’t see!” and the prophets, “Don’t prophesy to us right things. Tell us pleasant things. Prophesy deceits.
11 Unu na-anọchiri anyị ụzọ, nyenụ anyị ohere. Anyị achọkwaghị ịnụ ihe ọbụla banyere onye ahụ unu na-akpọ Onye dị nsọ nke Izrel.”
Get out of the way. Turn away from the path. Cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.”
12 Ya mere, ihe a ka Onye dị nsọ nke Izrel na-ekwu, “Nʼihi na unu kpọrọ okwu m na-agwa unu asị, ma dabere na mmegbu na-atụkwasịkwa obi unu nʼaghụghọ,
Therefore the Holy One of Israel says, “Because you despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and rely on it,
13 mmehie a ga-aghọrọ unu ihe dịka mgbidi dị elu, nke gbawara agbawa, nke ga-ada na mberede, nʼotu ntabi anya.
therefore this iniquity shall be to you like a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking comes suddenly in an instant.
14 Ọ ga-etipịasị dịka ite aja, nke etipịara na-enweghị obi ebere, nke a na-enweghị ike ịchọta mpekele ejuju ọbụla nʼetiti ya, iji gụta ọkụ site na-ekwu, maọbụ kupụta mmiri site nʼite.”
He will break it as a potter’s vessel is broken, breaking it in pieces without sparing, so that there won’t be found amongst the broken pieces a piece good enough to take fire from the hearth, or to dip up water out of the cistern.”
For thus said the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel, “You will be saved in returning and rest. Your strength will be in quietness and in confidence.” You refused,
16 Kama unu na-asị, ‘Anyị ga-arịkwasị nʼelu ịnyịnya gbapụ.’ E, unu ga-agba ọsọ nʼezie. Unu sịrị, ‘Anyị ga-arịkwasị nʼịnyịnya ndị na-efe ọsọ.’ Ya mere, ndị ga-achụ unu ga-adị ngwa.
but you said, “No, for we will flee on horses;” therefore you will flee; and, “We will ride on the swift;” therefore those who pursue you will be swift.
17 Otu onye nʼime ndị iro unu ga-achụ puku mmadụ nʼime unu ọsọ. Mmadụ ise si nʼime ha ezuola ịchusasị unu, ruo mgbe unu ga-adị ka osisi a manyere ọkọlọtọ debe nʼelu ugwu, e, ka ọkọlọtọ a hapụrụ nʼelu ugwu nta.”
One thousand will flee at the threat of one. At the threat of five, you will flee until you are left like a beacon on the top of a mountain, and like a banner on a hill.
18 Ma Onyenwe anyị nọkwa na-echere ka unu bịakwute ya, ka o gosi unu ịhụnanya ya. O jikeere imere unu ebere, nʼihi na Onyenwe anyị bụ Chineke na-ekpe ikpe ziri ezi. Ngọzị na-adịkwara ndị niile na-ele anya inyeaka ya.
Therefore the LORD will wait, that he may be gracious to you; and therefore he will be exalted, that he may have mercy on you, for the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all those who wait for him.
19 Unu ndị Zayọn ndị bi na Jerusalem, ndị nke m, unu agaghị ebekwa akwa ọzọ, nʼihi na Onyenwe anyị bụ onye obi ebere. Ọ ga-enyere unu aka mgbe ọbụla unu kpọkuru ya.
For the people will dwell in Zion at Jerusalem. You will weep no more. He will surely be gracious to you at the voice of your cry. When he hears you, he will answer you.
20 Nʼagbanyeghị na Onyenwe anyị na-enye unu achịcha nke nhụju anya na mmiri nke ahụhụ, ndị ozizi unu agaghị abụkwa ndị zoro onwe ha ọzọ, kama unu ga-eji anya unu hụ ha.
Though the Lord may give you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your teachers won’t be hidden any more, but your eyes will see your teachers;
21 Ma unu tụgharịrị nʼaka nri ma ọ bụkwanụ nʼaka ekpe, ntị unu ga-anụ otu olu nʼazụ unu, nke na-asị, “Nke a bụ ụzọ, Jeenụ ije nʼime ya.”
and when you turn to the right hand, and when you turn to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way. Walk in it.”
22 Mgbe ahụ kwa, unu ga-emebi arụsị unu niile, nke e ji ọlaọcha na ọlaedo kpụọ. Unu ga-atụfukwa ha dịka ihe ruru unyi, nke na-asọ oyi. Unu ga-asị ha, “Pụọnụ nʼebe a!”
You shall defile the overlaying of your engraved images of silver, and the plating of your molten images of gold. You shall cast them away as an unclean thing. You shall tell it, “Go away!”
23 Ọ ga-ezitekwa mmiri ozuzo maka mkpụrụ unu kụrụ nʼala ubi unu, ihe omume nke ga-esite nʼala ahụ pụta ga-ama abụba baakwa ụba. Nʼụbọchị ahụ anụ ụlọ unu ga-ata nri nʼebe ịta nri sara mbara.
He will give the rain for your seed, with which you will sow the ground; and bread of the increase of the ground will be rich and plentiful. In that day, your livestock will feed in large pastures.
24 Ehi na ịnyịnya ibu ndị na-arụ ọrụ ubi ga-ata nri a gwara nke ọma nke nnu dị, nke eji ngwa ọrụ ịfụcha ọka na shọvel kpasaa nke ọma.
The oxen likewise and the young donkeys that till the ground will eat savoury feed, which has been winnowed with the shovel and with the fork.
25 Nʼelu ugwu ọbụla dị elu na nʼelu ugwu nta ọbụla dị elu, ka iyi na mmiri niile ga-eru, nʼụbọchị oke ogbugbu, mgbe ụlọ elu niile ga-ada.
There will be brooks and streams of water on every lofty mountain and on every high hill in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.
26 Ọnwa ga-amụke dịka anwụ, ìhè anyanwụ ga-adịkwa okpukpu asaa dịka ìhè ụbọchị asaa e mere ka ọ mụọ nʼotu ụbọchị! Ihe ndị a ga-emezu nʼụbọchị ahụ Onyenwe anyị malitere ikechi na ịgwọ ọnya o mere ka o rute ndị ya aka.
Moreover the light of the moon will be like the light of the sun, and the light of the sun will be seven times brighter, like the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD binds up the fracture of his people, and heals the wound they were struck with.
Behold, the LORD’s name comes from far away, burning with his anger, and in thick rising smoke. His lips are full of indignation. His tongue is as a devouring fire.
28 Iku ume ya dịkwa ka iyi rubigara oke, nke na-achị ọkụ, nke na-etoru onye nọ nʼime ya nʼolu. Ọ na-ayọcha mba niile nʼime nyọ ịla nʼiyi, ọ na-etinye nʼagba ndị mmadụ eriri igwe nke na-edufu ha.
His breath is as an overflowing stream that reaches even to the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve of destruction. A bridle that leads to ruin will be in the jaws of the peoples.
29 Ma unu ga-abụ abụ dịka unu na-abụ nʼabalị mmemme dị nsọ, obi unu ga-aṅụrị ọṅụ dịka mgbe ndị na-egbu opi na-arịgo elu na-aga nʼugwu nsọ Onyenwe anyị, na-agakwuru Oke Nkume Izrel.
You will have a song, as in the night when a holy feast is kept, and gladness of heart, as when one goes with a flute to come to the LORD’s mountain, to Israel’s Rock.
The LORD will cause his glorious voice to be heard, and will show the descent of his arm, with the indignation of his anger and the flame of a devouring fire, with a blast, storm, and hailstones.
31 Olu Onyenwe anyị ga-emenye ndị Asịrịa egwu; ọ ga-eji mkpara igwe ya kụdaa ha nʼala.
For through the LORD’s voice the Assyrian will be dismayed. He will strike him with his rod.
32 Ihe otiti ọbụla nke Onyenwe anyị na-eji mkpọ ya, tie ha nʼahụ ga-adị ka egwu ụbọ akwara na une dị iche iche na-enye, mgbe ọ na-eweli aka ya na-eti ha oke ihe otiti dịka ọ na-alụso ha ọgụ.
Every stroke of the rod of punishment, which the LORD will lay on him, will be with the sound of tambourines and harps. He will fight with them in battles, brandishing weapons.
33 Edoolarị ihe niile nʼusoro site nʼoge gara aga. A kwadoola ebe a ga-akwanye ọkụ nke ga-erechapụ eze ahụ. Ọ bụ ebe sara mbara, nke dị omimi, na nke a kwajuru nkụ. Ọ bụ iku ume Onyenwe anyị nke dịka mwụpụta nke nkume na-enwu ọkụ ka a ga-eji mụnye ya ọkụ.
For his burning place has long been ready. Yes, it is prepared for the king. He has made its pyre deep and large with fire and much wood. The LORD’s breath, like a stream of sulphur, kindles it.
