1 Mgbe ahụ, Devid gwara ọgbakọ Izrel niile okwu sị ha, “Nwa m Solomọn, onye Chineke họpụtara ịbụ eze nʼọnọdụ m, bụ nwantakịrị na-amachabeghị ihe. Ma ọrụ o nwere ịrụ dị ukwuu, nʼihi na ụlọ ukwu a abụghị mmadụ ka ọ dịrị, kama ọ bụ nye Onyenwe anyị Chineke.
King David said to the whole assembly, “Solomon my son, whom alone God has chosen, is still young and inexperienced, and the task is great. For the temple is not for people but for Yahweh God.
2 Ma nʼike m niile, agbalịala m wetachaa ihe niile a ga-eji wuo ụlọnsọ ukwu Chineke m ebe ha dị ukwuu: ọlaedo a ga-eji kpụọ ihe ọlaedo niile, ọlaọcha a ga-eji kpụọ ihe ọlaọcha niile, bronz a ga-eji kpụọ ihe bronz niile, igwe a ga-eji kpụọ ihe igwe niile, na osisi a ga-eji rụọ ihe osisi niile, nkume dị oke ọnụahịa ọniks, a ga-ahịọnye ahịọnye, na nkume dị oke ọnụahịa tọkwọisi, na nkume ndị ọzọ ụcha ha dị iche iche, na nkume ndị ọzọ mara mma, tinyere mabụl.
So I have done my best to provide for the temple of my God. I am giving gold for the things to be made of gold, silver for the things to be made of silver, bronze for the things to be made of bronze, iron for the things to be made of iron, and wood for the things to be made of wood. I am also giving onyx stones, stones to be set, stones for inlaid work of various colors—all kinds of precious stones—and marble stone in abundance.
3 Ugbu a, nʼihi mmasị m nʼebe ụlọnsọ Chineke m dị, ana m enye akụ nke aka m niile, ya bụ ọlaedo na ọlaọcha m, iji ya nye aka, maka iwu ụlọnsọ ukwu Chineke m. Ihe ndị a ka m na-enye, tụkwasịkwa nʼelu ihe ndị ọzọ niile bụ nke m nyerela, nʼihi ụlọnsọ ukwu a:
Now, because of my delight in the house of my God, I am giving my personal treasure of gold and silver for it. I am doing this in addition to all that I have prepared for this holy temple:

three thousand talents of gold from Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, in order to overlay the walls of the buildings.
5 Maka ọrụ niile a ga-eji ọlaedo rụọ, na nke a ga-eji ọlaọcha rụọ, na ọrụ niile ndị ǹka ga-arụ. Ugbu a, onye jikeere iwere onwe ya nyechasịa Onyenwe anyị nʼaka taa?”
I am donating gold for the things to be made of gold, and silver for the things to be made of silver, and things for all kinds of work to be done by craftsmen. Who else wants to make a contribution to Yahweh today and give himself to him?”
6 Mgbe ahụ, ndịisi ezinaụlọ, na ndịisi ozi nke ebo Izrel niile, na ndịisi agha na-achị ọtụtụ puku ndị agha, na ndịisi agha na-achị ọtụtụ narị ndị agha, na ndịisi ozi na-elekọta ọrụ eze, jiri obi ha niile nye onyinye.
Then freewill offerings were made by the leaders of their ancestors' families, the leaders of the tribes of Israel, the commanders of thousands and hundreds, and by the officials over the king's work.
7 Ha nyere maka ọrụ ụlọnsọ ukwu Chineke. Ha nyere puku talenti ọlaedo ise, na puku darik ọlaedo iri, nyekwa puku talenti ọlaọcha iri, na puku talenti bronz iri na asatọ, na narị puku talenti igwe.
They gave for the service of God's house five thousand talents and ten thousand darics of gold, ten thousand talents of silver, eighteen thousand talents of bronze, and 100,000 talents of iron.
8 Ndị niile nwere nkume dị oke ọnụahịa dị iche iche webatara ya tinye ha nʼụlọakụ dị nʼụlọ nso ukwu Onyenwe anyị, nke Jehiel onye Geshọn na-elekọta.
Those who had precious stones gave them to the treasury of Yahweh's house, under the supervision of Jehiel, a descendant of Gershon.

The people rejoiced because of these freewill offerings, because they had contributed wholeheartedly to Yahweh. King David also rejoiced greatly.
10 Nʼihu ọha Izrel niile, Devid kelere Onyenwe anyị ekele sị, “Otuto dịrị gị Onyenwe anyị Chineke nna anyị Izrel site nʼebighị ebi ruo ebighị ebi.
David blessed Yahweh in front of all the assembly. He said, “May you be praised, Yahweh, God of Israel our ancestor, forever and ever.

But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly these things? Indeed, all things come from you, and we have simply given back to you what is yours.

Yahweh our God, all this wealth that we have collected in order to build a temple to honor your holy name—it comes from you and belongs to you.

I know also, my God, that you examine the heart and have pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things, and now I look with joy as your people who are present here willingly offer gifts to you.
18 Ya mere, gị Onyenwe anyị, Chineke nna anyị Ebraham na Aịzik, na Izrel, biko, mee ka ụdị ọchịchọ a dịgide nʼime obi ndị gị ruo ebighị ebi, meekwa ka ha jiri obi ha niile gbasoo gị mgbe niile.

20 Mgbe ahụ, Devid gwara ndị Izrel okwu sị, “Toonu Onyenwe anyị Chineke unu!” Ha niile toro Onyenwe anyị Chineke nna ha, kpọọ isiala nye Onyenwe anyị na eze.
David said to all the assembly, “Now bless Yahweh your God.” All the assembly blessed Yahweh, the God of their ancestors, bowed their heads and worshiped Yahweh and prostrated themselves before the king.

On the next day, they made sacrifices to Yahweh and offered burnt offerings to him. They offered a thousand bulls, a thousand rams, and a thousand lambs, with their drink offerings and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel.

On that day, they ate and drank before Yahweh with great celebration. They made Solomon, David's son, king a second time, and anointed him with Yahweh's authority to be ruler. They also anointed Zadok to be priest.
23 Ya mere, Solomọn nọkwasịrị nʼocheeze Onyenwe anyị dịka eze, nʼọnọdụ nna ya Devid. Ọ bara ụba nke ukwuu. Ndị Izrel rubekwaara ya isi.
