János 1
1 Kezdetben volt az Ige, és az Ige az Istennél volt, és Isten volt az Ige.
In the beginnynge was the worde and the worde was with God: and the worde was God.
2 Ez kezdetben az Istennél volt.
The same was in the beginnynge with God.
3 Minden őáltala lett, és nélküle semmi sem lett, ami lett.
All thinges were made by it and with out it was made nothinge that was made.
4 Őbenne volt az élet, és az élet volt az emberek világossága.
In it was lyfe and the lyfe was ye lyght of men
5 És a világosság a sötétségben fénylik, de a sötétség nem fogadta be azt.
and the lyght shyneth in the darcknes but the darcknes comprehended it not.
6 Volt egy Istentől küldött ember, akinek a neve János volt.
There was a man sent from God whose name was Iohn.
7 Ő tanúbizonyságul jött, hogy bizonyságot tegyen a világosságról, hogy mindenki higgyen őáltala.
The same cam as a witnes to beare witnes of the lyght that all men through him myght beleve.
8 Nem ő volt a világosság, azért jött, hogy bizonyságot tegyen a világosságról.
He was not that lyght: but to beare witnes of the lyght.
9 Az igazi világosság eljött már a világba, amely megvilágosít minden embert.
That was a true lyght which lyghteth all men that come into the worlde.
10 A világban volt, és a világ általa lett, de a világ nem ismerte meg őt.
He was in ye worlde and the worlde was made by him: and yet the worlde knewe him not.
11 Az övéi közé jött, és az övéi nem fogadták be.
He cam amonge his (awne) and his awne receaved him not.
12 Akik pedig befogadták, azokat felhatalmazta arra, hogy Isten fiaivá legyenek, mindazokat, akik az ő nevében hisznek.
But as meny as receaved him to them he gave power to be the sonnes of God in yt they beleved on his name:
13 Akik nem vérből, sem a testnek akaratából, sem a férfiúnak indulatából, hanem Istentől születtek.
which were borne not of bloude nor of the will of the flesshe nor yet of the will of man: but of God.
14 És az Ige testté lett, és lakozott miközöttünk (és láttuk az ő dicsőségét, mint az Atya egyszülöttjének dicsőségét), aki teljes volt kegyelemmel és igazsággal.
And the worde was made flesshe and dwelt amonge vs and we sawe the glory of it as the glory of the only begotten sonne of ye father which worde was full of grace and verite.
15 János bizonyságot tett őróla, és kiáltott, ezt mondva: „Ez volt az, akiről mondtam: Aki utánam jön, előttem lett, mert előbb volt nálam.“
Iohn bare witnes of him and cryed sayinge: This was he of whome I spake he that cometh after me was before me because he was yer then I.
16 És az ő teljességéből vettünk mindnyájan kegyelmet is kegyelemért.
And of his fulnes have all we receaved even (grace) for grace.
17 Mert a törvény Mózes által adatott, a kegyelem pedig és az igazság Jézus Krisztus által lett.
For the lawe was geven by Moses but grace and truthe came by Iesus Christ.
18 Az Istent soha senki nem látta, az egyszülött Fiú, aki az Atya kebelén van, az jelentette ki őt.
No ma hath sene God at eny tyme. The only begotte sonne which is in ye bosome of ye father he hath declared him.
19 És ez János bizonyságtétele. Amikor a zsidók papokat és lévitákat küldtek Jeruzsálemből, hogy megkérdezzék őt: „Kicsoda vagy te?“
And this is the recorde of Iohn: When the Iewes sent Prestes and Levites from Ierusalem to axe him what arte thou?
20 Megvallotta és nem tagadta, megvallotta, hogy: „Nem én vagyok a Krisztus.“
And he confessed and denyed not and sayde playnly: I am not Christ.
21 Megkérdezték őt: „Kicsoda tehát? Illés vagy te?“Ezt mondta: „Nem vagyok.“„A próféta vagy te?“És ő felelte: „Nem.“
And they axed him: what then? arte thou Helyas? And he sayde: I am not. Arte thou a Prophete? And he answered no.
22 Mondták azért neki: „Kicsoda vagy? Hogy megfelelhessünk azoknak, akik minket elküldtek: Mit mondasz magad felől?“
Then sayd they vnto him: what arte thou that we maye geve an answer to them that sent vs: What sayest thou of thy selfe?
23 Ő ezt mondta: „Én kiáltó szó vagyok a pusztában. »Egyengessétek az Úrnak útját!«, amint megmondta Ézsaiás próféta.“
He sayde: I am the voyce of a cryar in the wyldernes make strayght the waye of the Lorde as sayde the Prophete Esaias.
24 A küldöttek a farizeusok közül valók voltak.
And they which were sent were of the pharises.
25 Megkérdezték őt, és ezt mondták neki: „Miért keresztelsz tehát, ha nem te vagy a Krisztus, sem Illés, sem a próféta?“
And they axed him and sayde vnto him: why baptisest thou then yf thou be not Christ nor Helyas nether a Prophet?
26 János így felelt nekik: „Én vízzel keresztelek, de köztetek van, akit ti nem ismertek.
Iohn answered them sayinge: I baptise with water: but one is come amonge you whom ye knowe not
27 Ő az, aki utánam jön, aki előttem lett, akinek én nem vagyok méltó, hogy saruja szíját megoldjam.“
he it is that cometh after me whiche was before me whose sho latchet I am not worthy to vnlose.
28 Ezek Betániában történtek, a Jordánon túl, ahol János keresztelt.
These thinges were done in Bethabara beyonde Iordan where Iohn dyd baptyse.
29 Másnap látta János Jézust hozzámenni, és ezt mondta: „Íme, az Istennek ama báránya, aki elveszi a világ bűneit!
The nexte daye Iohn sawe Iesus commyge vnto him and sayde: beholde the lambe of God which taketh awaye the synne of the worlde.
30 Ez az, akiről én ezt mondtam: Utánam jön egy férfiú, aki előttem lett, mert előbb volt nálam.
This is he of whom I sayde. After me cometh a man which was before me for he was yer then I
31 Én nem ismertem őt, de hogy megjelentessék Izraelnek, azért jöttem én, aki vízzel keresztelek.“
and I knew him not: but that he shuld be declared to Israell therfore am I come baptisynge with water.
32 És bizonyságot tett János, ezt mondva: „Láttam a Lelket leszállni az égből, mint egy galambot, és megnyugodott őrajta.
And Iohn bare recorde sayinge: I sawe the sprete descende from heven lyke vnto a dove and abyde apon him
33 Én nem ismertem őt, de aki elküldött engem, hogy vízzel kereszteljek, az mondta nekem: Akire látod a Lelket leszállni és rajta megnyugodni, ő az, aki Szentlélekkel keresztel.
and I knewe him not. But he that sent me to baptise in water the same sayde vnto me: apon whom thou shalt se the sprete descende and tary styll on him the same is he which baptiseth with the holy goost.
34 Én láttam, és bizonyságot tettem, hogy ez az Isten Fia.“
And I sawe and bare recorde that this is the sonne of God.
35 Másnap ismét ott állt János és kettő az ő tanítványai közül,
The next daye after Iohn stode agayne and two of his disciples.
36 ránézve Jézusra, amint ott járt, mondta: „Íme, az Isten Báránya!“
And he behelde Iesus as he walked by and sayde: beholde the lambe of God.
37 Hallotta őt a két tanítvány, amint szólt, és követték Jézust.
And the two disciples hearde him speake and folowed Iesus.
38 Jézus pedig hátrafordult, és látva, hogy követik azok, ezt mondta nekik: „Mit kerestek?“Azok pedig mondták neki: „Rabbi – ami azt jelenti: Mester –, hol laksz?“
And Iesus turned about and sawe them folowe and sayde vnto them: what seke ye? They sayde vnto him: Rabbi (which is to saye by interpretacion Master) where dwellest thou?
39 Mondta nekik: „Jöjjetek, és lássátok meg.“Elmentek, meglátták, hol lakik, és nála maradtak azon a napon: akkor pedig körülbelül tíz óra volt.
He sayde vnto them: come and se. They came and sawe where he dwelt: and abode with him that daye. For it was about the tenthe houre.
40 A kettő közül, akik Jánostól ezt hallották, és őt követték, András volt az egyik, Simon Péter testvére.
One of the two which hearde Iohn speake and folowed Iesus was Andrew Simon Peters brother.
41 Ő találkozott először a saját testvérével, Simonnal, és mondta neki: „Megtaláltuk a Messiást“– (ami azt jelenti: Krisztus).
The same founde his brother Simon fyrst and sayde vnto him: we have founde Messias which is by interpretacion annoynted:
42 És Jézushoz vezette őt. Jézus pedig reátekintve, mondta: „Te Simon vagy, Jóna fia, téged Kéfásnak fognak hívni“– (ami azt jelenti: Kőszikla).
and brought him to Iesus. And Iesus behelde him and sayde: thou arte Simon the sonne of Ionas thou shalt be called Cephas: which is by interpretacion a stone.
43 A következő napon Galileába akart menni Jézus, találkozott Fülöppel, és mondta neki: „Kövess engem!“
The daye folowynge Iesus wolde goo into Galile and founde Philip and sayde vnto him folowe me.
44 Fülöp pedig Betsaidából, András és Péter városából való volt.
Philip was of Bethsaida the cite of Andrew and Peter.
45 Fülöp találkozott Nátánáellel, és mondta neki: „Akiről Mózes írt a törvényben, és a próféták, megtaláltuk, a názáreti Jézust, Józsefnek fiát.“
And Philip founde Nathanael and sayde vnto him. We have founde him of whom Moses in the lawe and the prophetes dyd wryte. Iesus the sonne of Ioseph of Nazareth.
46 Mondta neki Nátánáel: „Názáretből támadhat-e valami jó?“Fülöp ezt mondta neki: „Jöjj, és lásd meg!“
And Nathanael sayde vnto him: can ther eny good thinge come out of Nazareth? Philip sayde to him: come and se.
47 Látta Jézus Nátánáelt őhozzá menni, és azt mondta róla: „Íme, egy igazán izraelita, akiben hamisság nincsen.“
Iesus sawe Nathanael commynge to him and sayde of him. Beholde a ryght Israelite in who is no gyle.
48 Nátánáel ezt mondta neki: „Honnan ismersz engem?“Jézus így felelt neki: „Mielőtt hívott téged Fülöp, láttalak téged, amint a fügefa alatt voltál.“
Nathanael sayd vnto him: where knewest thou me? Iesus answered and sayde vnto him: Before that Philip called the when thou wast vnder ye fygge tree I sawe the.
49 Nátánáel így felelt neki: „Rabbi, te vagy az Isten Fia, te vagy az Izrael Királya!“
Nathanael answered and sayde vnto him: Rabbi thou arte the sonne of God thou arte the kynge of Israel.
50 Jézus így felelt neki: „Azért, mert azt mondtam neked: láttalak a fügefa alatt, hiszel? Nagyobbakat látsz majd ezeknél.“
Iesus answered and sayd vnto him: Because I sayde vnto the I sawe the vnder the fygge tree thou belevest. Thou shalt se greater thinges then these.
51 És mondta neki: „Bizony, bizony mondom néktek: Mostantól fogva meglátjátok a megnyílt eget és az Isten angyalait, amint felszállnak és leszállnak az Emberfiára.“
And he sayde vnto him: Verely verely I saye vnto you: herafter shall ye se heven open and the angels of God ascendynge and descendynge over the sonne of man.
