1 Az éneklőmesternek hangszerre: Dávidé. Hallgasd meg, oh Isten, az én kiáltásomat; figyelmezzél az én könyörgésemre.

[For the Chief Musician. For a stringed instrument. By David.] Hear my cry, God. Listen to my prayer.

2 E föld széléről kiáltok te hozzád; mert szívem elepedt: Vígy el engem innen a sziklára, a hova én nem jutok.

From the most remote place of the earth, I will call to you, when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

3 Mert te vagy az én menedékem, s erős tornyom az ellenség ellen.

For you have been a refuge for me, a strong tower from the enemy.

4 Hadd lakozzam a te sátorodban mindörökké; hadd meneküljek a te szárnyaid árnyéka alá! (Szela)

I will dwell in your tent forever. I will take refuge in the shelter of your wings. (Selah)

5 Mert te, oh Isten, meghallgattad az én fogadásaimat; a te neved tisztelőinek örökségét megadtad nékem.

For you, God, have heard my vows. You have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.

6 Adj napokat a király napjaihoz, esztendeit nemzedékről nemzedékre nyujtsd.

You will prolong the king's life; his years shall be for generations.

7 Isten előtt lakozzék örökké; kegyelmedet és hűségedet rendeld ki, hogy őrizzék meg őt.

He shall be enthroned in God's presence forever. Appoint your loving kindness and truth, that they may preserve him.

8 Így éneklem majd a te nevedet szüntelen, hogy beteljesítsem az én fogadásaimat minden napon.

So I will sing praise to your name forever, that I may fulfill my vows day after day.
