Ezékiel 25

1 És lőn az Úr beszéde hozzám, mondván:

And the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying:

2 Embernek fia! vesd tekintetedet Ammon fiaira, és prófétálj ellenök.

Son of man Set thy face against the sons of Ammon, — and prophesy against them.

3 És mondjad Ammon fiainak: Halljátok az Úr Isten beszédét! így szól az Úr Isten: Mivelhogy ezt mondod: Haha! az én szenthelyemre, hogy megfertéztetett; és Izráel földjére, hogy elpusztíttatott; és Júda házára, hogy fogságba mentek:

So then thou shalt say to the sons of Ammon, Hear ye the word of My Lord Yahweh: Thus, saith My Lord. Yahweh: Because thou saidst Aha! Against my sanctuary when it was profaned. And against the soil of Israel when it was laid waste, And against the house of Judah when they went into exile.

4 Ezokáért ímé adlak téged Kelet fiainak örökségül, hogy felüssék sátraikat benned, s felállassák benned lakóhelyeiket, ők eszik meg gyümölcsödet, s ők iszszák meg tejedet.

Therefore, behold me! delivering thee up to the Sons of the East for a possession And they shall set their encampments in thee, And place in thee their habitations, They, shall eat thy fruits, And they, shall drink thy milk;

5 És teszem Rabbát tevék legelőjévé, és Ammon fiait nyájak fekvőhelyévé, s megtudjátok, hogy én vagyok az Úr!

And I will make of Rabbah a home for camels, And the sons of Ammon a couching-place for flocks, So shall ye know that, I, am Yahweh.

6 Mert így szól az Úr Isten: Mivelhogy tapsolsz kezeddel és tombolsz lábaddal és örülsz teljes megvetéssel lelkedben Izráel földje felett:

For, thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, Because thou didst clap thy hands and stamp with thy foot, —and didst rejoice with all thy contempt in thy soul, against the soil of Israel.

7 Ennekokáért ímé kinyújtom kezemet reád, s adlak ragadományul a népeknek, és kiváglak a népségek közül, és elvesztlek a tartományok közül, eltöröllek, hogy megtudjad, hogy én vagyok az Úr.

Therefore behold me! I have stretched out my hand over thee And will deliver thee for a prey to the nations, And will cut thee off from among the peoples, And will cause thee to perish from among the lands, — I will destroy thee, So shalt thou know that, I, am Yahweh.

8 Azt mondja az Úr Isten: Mivelhogy Moáb és Seir ezt mondta: Ímé, Júda háza is olyan, mint a többi népek:

Thus saith My Lord Yahweh: Because Moab and Seir say, Lo! like all the nations, is the house of Judah.

9 Ezokáért ímé megnyitom Moáb oldalát a városok felől, az ő városai felől mindenfelől, az ország ékességét Beth-Hajesimóthot, Baál-Meont és Kirjátaim felé,

Therefore, behold me! laying open the side of Moab out of the cities, Out of his cities on his frontiers, The beauty of the land of Beth-jeshimoth, Baal-meon, and Kiriathaim:

10 Megnyitom Kelet fiainak, Ammon fiaival együtt adom örökségül, hogy emlékezetben se legyenek többé Ammon fiai a népek között;

To the Sons of the East [when they come] against the sons of Ammon, and I will deliver it up for possession, -to the end the sons of Ammon may not be remembered among the nations:

11 Moáb fölött is ítéletet tartok: hogy megtudják, hogy én vagyok az Úr.

Also upon Moab, will I execute judgments, - So shall they know that I, am Yahweh.

12 Így szól az Úr Isten: Mivelhogy Edom kegyetlen bosszúállást cselekedett Júda házán, és vétkezve vétkezett, hogy bosszút állott rajta:

Thus, saith My Lord. Yahweh, Because of what Edom hath done, in taking vengeance on the house of Judah, so that they have become guilty again and again and have taken vengeance upon them,

13 Azért, így szól az Úr Isten, kinyújtom az én kezemet Edomra, és kivágok belőle embert és barmot, és teszem őt pusztasággá Temántól fogva, és Dedánig fegyver miatt hulljanak el.

Therefore, Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, I will therefore stretch forth my hand over Edom, and will cut off therefrom man and beast, And will deliver it up as a desolation, from Teman, And they of Dedan, by the sword, shall fall,

14 És bosszúmat állom Edomon népemnek, Izráelnek keze által és cselekszenek Edommal az én búsulásom és haragom szerint, s megismerik bosszúállásomat, ezt mondja az Úr Isten.

And I will put forth mine avenging against Edom, by the hand of my people Israel, And they shall deal with Edom, according to mine anger and according to mine indignation, - So shall they know mine avenging, Declareth My Lord. Yahweh,

15 Így szól az Úr Isten: Mivelhogy a Filiszteusok bosszúból cselekedtek s kegyetlen bosszút álltak lelkökben megvetéssel, hogy elveszessék Izráelt örök gyűlölséggel:

Thus saith My Lord Yahweh, Because of what the Philistines have done by way of vengeance, - In that they have taken vengeance with contempt in the soul, to destroy, with the enmity of age-past times.

16 Ezokáért ezt mondja az Úr Isten: Ímé, én kinyújtom kezemet a Filiszteusokra, és kivágom a Keréteusokat, és elvesztem a tenger partján lakók maradékát;

Therefore, Thus, saith My Lord. Yahweh, Behold me! stretching forth my hand over the Philistines, And I will cut off the Cherethim, — And will cause to perish the remnant of the coast of the sea;

17 És cselekszem rajtok nagy bosszúállásokat fenyítő haragomban, hogy megtudják, hogy én vagyok az Úr, ha bosszúmat állom rajtok.

And I will execute upon them great vengeance, with rebukes of indignation: shall they know that I am Yahweh, when I put forth mine avenging against them.
