Dániel 12
1 És abban az időben felkél Mihály, a nagy fejedelem, a ki a te néped fiaiért áll, mert nyomorúságos idő lesz, a milyen nem volt attól fogva, hogy nép kezdett lenni, mindezideig. És abban az időben megszabadul a te néped; a ki csak beírva találtatik a könyvben.
Forsothe in that tyme Miyhel, the greet prince, schal rise, that stondith for the sones of thi puple. And tyme schal come, what maner tyme was not, fro that tyme fro which folkis bigunnen to be, `vn to that tyme. And in that tyme thi puple schal be saued, ech that is foundun writun in the book of life.
2 És sokan azok közül, a kik alusznak a föld porában, felserkennek, némelyek örök életre, némelyek pedig gyalázatra és örökkévaló útálatosságra.
And many of hem that slepen in the dust of erthe, schulen awake fulli, summe in to euerlastynge lijf, and othere in to schenschipe, that thei se euere.
3 Az értelmesek pedig fénylenek, mint az égnek fényessége; és a kik sokakat az igazságra visznek, miként a csillagok örökkön örökké.
Forsothe thei that ben tauyt, schulen schyne as the schynyng of the firmament, and thei that techen many men to riytfulnesse, schulen schyne as sterris in to euerlastynge euerlastyngnessis.
4 Te pedig, Dániel, zárd be e beszédeket, és pecsételd be a könyvet a végső időig: tudakozzák majd sokan, és nagyobbá lesz a tudás.
But thou, Danyel, close the wordis, and aseele the book, til to the tyme ordeyned; ful many men schulen passe, and kunnyng schal be many fold.
5 És széttekinték én, Dániel, és ímé másik kettő álla ott, egyik a folyóvíz partján innét, a másik túl a folyóvíz partján.
And Y, Danyel, siy, and lo! as tweyne othere men stood; oon stood on this side, on the brenk of the flood, and another on that side, on the tother part of the flood.
6 És mondá egyik a gyolcsba öltözött férfiúnak, a ki a folyóvíz felett vala: Mikor lesz végök e csudadolgoknak?
And Y seide to the man, that was clothid in lynnun clothis, that stood on the watris of the flood, Hou long schal be the ende of these merueils?
7 És hallám a gyolcsba öltözött férfiút, a ki a folyóvíz felett vala, hogy felemelé az ő jobb kezét és bal kezét az ég felé, és megesküvék az örökké élőre, hogy ideig, időkig és fél időig, és mikor elvégezik a szent nép erejének rontását, mindezek elvégeztetnek.
And Y herde the man, that was clothid in lynnun clothis, that stood on the watris of the flood, whanne he hadde reisid his riythond and lefthond to heuene, and hadde sworun by hym that lyueth with outen ende, For in to a tyme, and tymes, and the half of tyme. And whanne the scateryng of the hoond of the hooli puple is fillid, alle these thingis schulen be fillid.
8 Én pedig hallám ezt, de nem értém, és mondám: Uram, mi lesz ezeknek vége?
And Y herde, and vndurstood not; and Y seide, My lord, what schal be aftir these thingis?
9 És monda: Menj el Dániel, mert be vannak zárva és pecsételve e beszédek a vég idejéig.
And he seide, Go thou, Danyel, for the wordis ben closid and aseelid, til to the tyme determyned.
10 Megtisztulnak, megfehérednek és megpróbáltatnak sokan, az istentelenek pedig istentelenül cselekesznek, és az istentelenek közül senki sem érti; de az értelmesek értik,
Many men schulen be chosun, and schulen be maad whijt, and schulen be preued as fier, and wickid men schulen do wickidli, nether alle wickid men schulen vndurstonde; certis tauyt men schulen vndurstonde.
11 És az időtől fogva, hogy elvétetik a mindennapi áldozat, és feltétetik a pusztító útálatosság, ezerkétszáz és kilenczven nap lesz.
And fro the tyme whanne contynuel sacrifice is takun awei, and abhomynacioun is set in to discoumfort, schulen be a thousynde daies two hundrid and nynti.
12 Boldog, a ki várja és megéri az ezerháromszáz és harminczöt napot.
He is blessid, that abideth, and cometh fulli, til a thousynde daies thre hundrid and fyue and thritti.
13 Te pedig menj el a vég felé; és majd nyugszol, és felkelsz a te sorsodra a napoknak végén.
But go thou, Danyel, to the tyme determyned; and thou schalt reste, and stonde in thi part, in the ende of daies.
