1 Hallelúja! Énekeljetek az Örökkévalónak új éneket, dicsérete hangozzék a jámborok gyülekezetében!

Praise ye Jehovah. Sing to Jehovah a new song, and his praise in the assembly of the sanctified.

2 Örüljön Izraél a teremtőjében, Czión fiai vigadjanak királyukban!

Let Israel rejoice in him who made him. Let the sons of Zion be joyful in their King.

3 Dicsérjék nevét körtáncz mellett, dobbal és hárfával zengjenek neki.

Let them praise his name in the dance. Let them sing praises to him with timbrel and harp.

4 Mert az Örökkévalónak kedve telik népében, megdicsőíti az alázatosakat segítséggel.

For Jehovah takes pleasure in his people. He will beautify the meek with salvation.

5 Vígadjanak a jámborok dicsőségben, ujjongjanak fekvőkelyeiken;

Let the sanctified exult in glory. Let them sing for joy upon their beds.

6 Isten magasztalása torkukban, és két élü kard kezükben

The high praises of God are in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand

7 hogy bosszút végezzenek a nemzeteken, fenyítéseket a népeken;

to execute vengeance upon the nations, and punishments upon the peoples,

8 hogy megkössék királyaikat bilincsekkel, s előkelőiket vasbéklyókkal;

to bind their kings with chains, and their ranking men with fetters of iron,

9 hogy végezzék rajtuk a megirott törvényt. Dísze az mind az ő jámborainak. Hallelúja!

to execute upon them the judgment written. All his sanctified have this honor. Praise ye Jehovah.
