भजन संहिता 97

1 १ यहोवा राजा हुआ है, पृथ्वी मगन हो; और द्वीप जो बहुत से हैं, वह भी आनन्द करें!

The Lord is king, let the earth rejoice: let her many isles be glad.

2 २ बादल और अंधकार उसके चारों ओर हैं; उसके सिंहासन का मूल धर्म और न्याय है।

Clouds and darkness are round about him, justice and right are the base of his throne.

3 ३ उसके आगे-आगे आग चलती हुई उसके विरोधियों को चारों ओर भस्म करती है।

Fire goes before him, and blazes around his steps,

4 ४ उसकी बिजलियों से जगत प्रकाशित हुआ, पृथ्वी देखकर थरथरा गई है!

his lightnings illumine the world: the earth quakes at the sight.

5 ५ पहाड़ यहोवा के सामने, मोम के समान पिघल गए, अर्थात् सारी पृथ्वी के परमेश्वर के सामने।

Mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth.

6 ६ आकाश ने उसके धर्म की साक्षी दी; और देश-देश के सब लोगों ने उसकी महिमा देखी है।

The heavens proclaim his justice, all nations behold his glory.

7 ७ जितने खुदी हुई मूर्तियों की उपासना करते और मूरतों पर फूलते हैं, वे लज्जित हों; हे सब देवताओं तुम उसी को दण्डवत् करो।

Shamed are all image-worshippers, who make a boast of their idols. All the gods bow before him.

8 ८ सिय्योन सुनकर आनन्दित हुई, और यहूदा की बेटियाँ मगन हुई; हे यहोवा, यह तेरे नियमों के कारण हुआ।

Zion is glad at the tidings, the towns of Judah rejoice because of your judgments, Lord.

9 ९ क्योंकि हे यहोवा, तू सारी पृथ्वी के ऊपर परमप्रधान है; तू सारे देवताओं से अधिक महान ठहरा है।

For you are most high over all the earth, greatly exalted above all gods.

10 १० हे यहोवा के प्रेमियों, बुराई से घृणा करो; वह अपने भक्तों के प्राणों की रक्षा करता, और उन्हें दुष्टों के हाथ से बचाता है।

The Lord loves those who hate evil, he guards the lives of the faithful: from the hand of the wicked he saves them.

11 ११ धर्मी के लिये ज्योति, और सीधे मनवालों के लिये आनन्द बोया गया है।

Light arises for the righteous, and joy for the upright in heart.

12 १२ हे धर्मियों, यहोवा के कारण आनन्दित हो; और जिस पवित्र नाम से उसका स्मरण होता है, उसका धन्यवाद करो!

Rejoice in the Lord, you righteous: give thanks to his holy name.
