अय्यूब 30

1 १ “परन्तु अब जिनकी आयु मुझसे कम है, वे मेरी हँसी करते हैं, वे जिनके पिताओं को मैं अपनी भेड़-बकरियों के कुत्तों के काम के योग्य भी न जानता था।

2 २ उनके भुजबल से मुझे क्या लाभ हो सकता था? उनका पौरुष तो जाता रहा।

3 ३ वे दरिद्रता और काल के मारे दुबले पड़े हुए हैं, वे अंधेरे और सुनसान स्थानों में सुखी धूल फाँकते हैं।

4 ४ वे झाड़ी के आस-पास का लोनिया साग तोड़ लेते, और झाऊ की जड़ें खाते हैं।

and eeten eerbis, aud the ryndis of trees; and the roote of iunyperis was her mete.

5 ५ वे मनुष्यों के बीच में से निकाले जाते हैं, उनके पीछे ऐसी पुकार होती है, जैसी चोर के पीछे।

Whiche men rauyschiden these thingis fro grete valeis; and whanne thei hadden foundun ony of alle, thei runnen with cry to tho.

6 ६ डरावने नालों में, भूमि के बिलों में, और चट्टानों में, उन्हें रहना पड़ता है।

Thei dwelliden in deseertis of strondis, and in caues of erthe, ethir on grauel, `ethir on cley.

7 ७ वे झाड़ियों के बीच रेंकते, और बिच्छू पौधों के नीचे इकट्ठे पड़े रहते हैं।

Whiche weren glad among siche thingis, and arettiden delices to be vndur buschis.

8 ८ वे मूर्खों और नीच लोगों के वंश हैं जो मार-मार के इस देश से निकाले गए थे।

9 ९ “ऐसे ही लोग अब मुझ पर लगते गीत गाते, और मुझ पर ताना मारते हैं।

10 १० वे मुझसे घिन खाकर दूर रहते, व मेरे मुँह पर थूकने से भी नहीं डरते।

11 ११ परमेश्वर ने जो मेरी रस्सी खोलकर मुझे दुःख दिया है, इसलिए वे मेरे सामने मुँह में लगाम नहीं रखते।

For God hath openyd his arowe caas, and hath turmentid me, and hath set a bridil in to my mouth.

12 १२ मेरी दाहिनी ओर बाज़ारू लोग उठ खड़े होते हैं, वे मेरे पाँव सरका देते हैं, और मेरे नाश के लिये अपने उपाय बाँधते हैं।

At the riytside of the eest my wretchidnessis risiden anoon; thei turneden vpsedoun my feet, and oppressiden with her pathis as with floodis.

13 १३ जिनके कोई सहायक नहीं, वे भी मेरे रास्तों को बिगाड़ते, और मेरी विपत्ति को बढ़ाते हैं।

Thei destrieden my weies; thei settiden tresoun to me, and hadden the maistri; and `noon was that helpide.

14 १४ मानो बड़े नाके से घुसकर वे आ पड़ते हैं, और उजाड़ के बीच में होकर मुझ पर धावा करते हैं।

Thei felden in on me as bi a brokun wal, and bi yate openyd, and weren stretchid forth to my wretchidnessis.

15 १५ मुझ में घबराहट छा गई है, और मेरा रईसपन मानो वायु से उड़ाया गया है, और मेरा कुशल बादल के समान जाता रहा।

16 १६ “और अब मैं शोकसागर में डूबा जाता हूँ; दुःख के दिनों ने मुझे जकड़ लिया है।

17 १७ रात को मेरी हड्डियाँ मेरे अन्दर छिद जाती हैं और मेरी नसों में चैन नहीं पड़ती

18 १८ मेरी बीमारी की बहुतायत से मेरे वस्त्र का रूप बदल गया है; वह मेरे कुर्त्ते के गले के समान मुझसे लिपटी हुई है।

In the multitude of tho my cloth is wastid, and thei han gird me as with coler of a coote.

19 १९ उसने मुझ को कीचड़ में फेंक दिया है, और मैं मिट्टी और राख के तुल्य हो गया हूँ।

Y am comparisound to cley, and Y am maad lijk to a deed sparcle and aisch.

20 २० मैं तेरी दुहाई देता हूँ, परन्तु तू नहीं सुनता; मैं खड़ा होता हूँ परन्तु तू मेरी ओर घूरने लगता है।

Y schal cry to thee, and thou schalt not here me; Y stonde, and thou biholdist not me.

21 २१ तू बदलकर मुझ पर कठोर हो गया है; और अपने बलवन्त हाथ से मुझे सताता हे।

Thou art chaungid in to cruel to me, and in the hardnesse of thin hond thou art aduersarie to me.

22 २२ तू मुझे वायु पर सवार करके उड़ाता है, और आँधी के पानी में मुझे गला देता है।

Thou hast reisid me, and hast set as on wynd; and hast hurtlid me doun strongli.

23 २३ हाँ, मुझे निश्चय है, कि तू मुझे मृत्यु के वश में कर देगा, और उस घर में पहुँचाएगा, जो सब जीवित प्राणियों के लिये ठहराया गया है।

Y woot, that thow schalt bitake me to deeth, where an hows is ordeyned to ech lyuynge man.

24 २४ “तो भी क्या कोई गिरते समय हाथ न बढ़ाएगा? और क्या कोई विपत्ति के समय दुहाई न देगा?

Netheles thou sendist not out thin hond to the wastyng of hem; and if thei fallen doun, thou schalt saue.

25 २५ क्या मैं उसके लिये रोता नहीं था, जिसके दुर्दिन आते थे? और क्या दरिद्र जन के कारण मैं प्राण में दुःखित न होता था?

Y wepte sum tyme on him, that was turmentid, and my soule hadde compassioun on a pore man.

26 २६ जब मैं कुशल का मार्ग जोहता था, तब विपत्ति आ पड़ी; और जब मैं उजियाले की आशा लगाए था, तब अंधकार छा गया।

Y abood goodis, and yuelis ben comun to me; Y abood liyt, and derknessis braken out.

27 २७ मेरी अंतड़ियाँ निरन्तर उबलती रहती हैं और आराम नहीं पातीं; मेरे दुःख के दिन आ गए हैं।

28 २८ मैं शोक का पहरावा पहने हुए मानो बिना सूर्य की गर्मी के काला हो गया हूँ। और मैं सभा में खड़ा होकर सहायता के लिये दुहाई देता हूँ।

29 २९ मैं गीदड़ों का भाई और शुतुर्मुर्गों का संगी हो गया हूँ।

Y was the brother of dragouns, and the felow of ostrigis.

30 ३० मेरा चमड़ा काला होकर मुझ पर से गिरता जाता है, और ताप के मारे मेरी हड्डियाँ जल गई हैं।

My skyn was maad blak on me, and my boonys drieden for heete.

31 ३१ इस कारण मेरी वीणा से विलाप और मेरी बाँसुरी से रोने की ध्वनि निकलती है।
