अय्यूब 26

1 १ तब अय्यूब ने कहा,

Job replied,

2 २ “निर्बल जन की तूने क्या ही बड़ी सहायता की, और जिसकी बाँह में सामर्थ्य नहीं, उसको तूने कैसे सम्भाला है?

“How helpful you have been to this feeble man that I am. How supportive you have been to the weak.

3 ३ निर्बुद्धि मनुष्य को तूने क्या ही अच्छी सम्मति दी, और अपनी खरी बुद्धि कैसी भली भाँति प्रगट की है?

What good advice you have given to this ignorant man, demonstrating you have so much wisdom.

4 ४ तूने किसके हित के लिये बातें कही? और किसके मन की बातें तेरे मुँह से निकलीं?”

Who helped you speak these words? Who inspired you to say such things?

5 ५ “बहुत दिन के मरे हुए लोग भी जलनिधि और उसके निवासियों के तले तड़पते हैं।

The dead tremble, those beneath the waters.

6 ६ अधोलोक उसके सामने उघड़ा रहता है, और विनाश का स्थान ढँप नहीं सकता। (Sheol h7585)

Sheol lies naked before God, Abaddon is uncovered. (Sheol h7585)

7 ७ वह उत्तर दिशा को निराधार फैलाए रहता है, और बिना टेक पृथ्वी को लटकाए रखता है।

He stretches the northern sky over empty space; he hangs the world on nothing.

8 ८ वह जल को अपनी काली घटाओं में बाँध रखता, और बादल उसके बोझ से नहीं फटता।

He gathers the rain in his storm clouds which do not break under the weight.

9 ९ वह अपने सिंहासन के सामने बादल फैलाकर चाँद को छिपाए रखता है।

He veils his throne; covering it with his clouds.

10 १० उजियाले और अंधियारे के बीच जहाँ सीमा बंधी है, वहाँ तक उसने जलनिधि का सीमा ठहरा रखी है।

On the surface of the waters he set a boundary; he set a limit dividing light from darkness.

11 ११ उसकी घुड़की से आकाश के खम्भे थरथराते और चकित होते हैं।

The pillars of heaven tremble; they shake with fear at his rebuke.

12 १२ वह अपने बल से समुद्र को शान्त, और अपनी बुद्धि से रहब को छेद देता है।

He calmed the sea with his power; because he knew what to do he crushed Rahab.

13 १३ उसकी आत्मा से आकाशमण्डल स्वच्छ हो जाता है, वह अपने हाथ से वेग से भागनेवाले नाग को मार देता है।

The breath of his voice made the heavens beautiful; with his hand he pierced the gliding serpent.

14 १४ देखो, ये तो उसकी गति के किनारे ही हैं; और उसकी आहट फुसफुसाहट ही सी तो सुन पड़ती है, फिर उसके पराक्रम के गरजने का भेद कौन समझ सकता है?”

This is just a little of all he does—what we hear of him is hardly a whisper, so who can understand his thunderous power?”
