होशे 13
1 १ जब एप्रैम बोलता था, तब लोग काँपते थे; और वह इस्राएल में बड़ा था; परन्तु जब वह बाल के कारण दोषी हो गया, तब वह मर गया।
Once when Ephraim spake, there was trembling; he was exalted in Israel; But he offended through Baal, and died.
2 २ और अब वे लोग पाप पर पाप बढ़ाते जाते हैं, और अपनी बुद्धि से चाँदी ढालकर ऐसी मूरतें बनाते हैं जो कारीगरों ही से बनीं। उन्हीं के विषय लोग कहते हैं, जो नरमेध करें, वे बछड़ों को चूमें!
And now they sin more and more, And have made to themselves molten images; Of their silver by their skill have they made idols; All of it is the work of artificers. They say concerning them, Whoever will sacrifice, let him kiss the calves!
3 ३ इस कारण वे भोर के मेघ, तड़के सूख जानेवाली ओस, खलिहान पर से आँधी के मारे उड़नेवाली भूसी, या चिमनी से निकलते हुए धुएँ के समान होंगे।
Therefore shall they be as the morning cloud, And as the early dew, which passeth away; As chaff driven with a whirlwind from the thrashing-floor, And as smoke from the chimney.
4 ४ मिस्र देश ही से मैं यहोवा, तेरा परमेश्वर हूँ; तू मुझे छोड़ किसी को परमेश्वर करके न जानना; क्योंकि मेरे सिवा कोई तेरा उद्धारकर्ता नहीं हैं।
Yet I, Jehovah, have been thy God from the land of Egypt, And thou hast known no God but me; Yea, there was no saviour besides me.
I cared for thee in the desert, In the land of great drought.
6 ६ परन्तु जब इस्राएली चराए जाते थे और वे तृप्त हो गए, तब तृप्त होने पर उनका मन घमण्ड से भर गया; इस कारण वे मुझ को भूल गए।
As they were fed, so they were filled; They were filled, and their heart was lifted up; Therefore they forgot me.
Therefore have I become to them as a lion; As a leopard I watch for them in the way;
8 ८ मैं बच्चे छीनी हुई रीछनी के समान बनकर उनको मिलूँगा, और उनके हृदय की झिल्ली को फाड़ूँगा, और सिंह के समान उनको वहीं खा डालूँगा, जैसे वन-पशु उनको फाड़ डाले।
I will meet them as a bear bereaved of her whelps, And I will rend the caul of their heart, And there will I devour them as a lioness; The wild beast shall tear them.
It hath been thy destruction, O Israel, That against me, against thy help, thou hast rebelled!
10 १० अब तेरा राजा कहाँ रहा कि तेरे सब नगरों में वह तुझे बचाए? और तेरे न्यायी कहाँ रहे, जिनके विषय में तूने कहा था, “मेरे लिये राजा और हाकिम ठहरा दे?”
Where is now thy king? Let him save thee in all thy cities! And where thy judges, In regard to whom thou saidst, Give me a king and princes!
I gave thee a king in mine anger, And I have taken him away in my wrath;
the iniquity of Ephraim is treasured up; His guilt is laid up in store.
The pangs of a travailing woman shall come upon him; He is an unwise son, For else would he not tarry long in the place of the breaking forth of children.
14 १४ मैं उसको अधोलोक के वश से छुड़ा लूँगा और मृत्यु से उसको छुटकारा दूँगा। हे मृत्यु, तेरी मारने की शक्ति कहाँ रही? हे अधोलोक, तेरी नाश करने की शक्ति कहाँ रही? मैं फिर कभी नहीं पछताऊँगा। (Sheol h7585)
I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death; O death, where is thy plague? O grave, where is thy destruction? Repentance is hidden from mine eyes. (Sheol h7585)
15 १५ चाहे वह अपने भाइयों से अधिक फूले-फले, तो भी पुरवाई उस पर चलेगी, और यहोवा की ओर से मरुस्थल से आएगी, और उसका कुण्ड सूखेगा; और उसका सोता निर्जल हो जाएगा। उसकी रखी हुई सब मनभावनी वस्तुएँ वह लूट ले जाएगा।
Though he be fruitful among his brethren, An east wind shall come, A wind of Jehovah shall come up from the desert, And his spring shall become dry, And his fountain shall be dried up, And the treasure of all his pleasant vessels shall be spoiled.
16 १६ सामरिया दोषी ठहरेगा, क्योंकि उसने अपने परमेश्वर से बलवा किया है; वे तलवार से मारे जाएँगे, उनके बच्चे पटके जाएँगे, और उनकी गर्भवती स्त्रियाँ चीर डाली जाएँगी।
Samaria shall suffer for her guilt, For she hath rebelled against her God. They shall fall by the sword; Their infants shall be dashed in pieces, And their women with child shall be ripped up.
