1 १ योशिय्याह ने यरूशलेम में यहोवा के लिये फसह पर्व माना और पहले महीने के चौदहवें दिन को फसह का पशुबलि किया गया।

3 ३ फिर लेवीय जो सब इस्राएलियों को सिखाते और यहोवा के लिये पवित्र ठहरे थे, उनसे उसने कहा, “तुम पवित्र सन्दूक को उस भवन में रखो जो दाऊद के पुत्र इस्राएल के राजा सुलैमान ने बनवाया था; अब तुम को कंधों पर बोझ उठाना न होगा। अब अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा की और उसकी प्रजा इस्राएल की सेवा करो।

4 ४ इस्राएल के राजा दाऊद और उसके पुत्र सुलैमान दोनों की लिखी हुई विधियों के अनुसार, अपने-अपने पितरों के अनुसार, अपने-अपने दल में तैयार रहो।
and make you redi bi youre housis and meynees in the departyngis of ech bi hym silf, as Dauid, king of Israel, comaundide, and Salomon, his sone, discryuede;
5 ५ तुम्हारे भाई लोगों के पितरों के घरानों के भागों के अनुसार पवित्रस्थान में खड़े रहो, अर्थात् उनके एक भाग के लिये लेवियों के एक-एक पितर के घराने का एक भाग हो।
and serue ye in the seyntuarie bi the meynees and cumpenyes of dekenes,
6 ६ फसह के पशुओं को बलि करो, और अपने-अपने को पवित्र करके अपने भाइयों के लिये तैयारी करो कि वे यहोवा के उस वचन के अनुसार कर सकें, जो उसने मूसा के द्वारा कहा था।”
and be ye halewid, and offre ye pask; also `make redi youre britheren, that thei moun `do bi the wordis, whiche the Lord spak in the hond of Moyses.
7 ७ फिर योशिय्याह ने सब लोगों को जो वहाँ उपस्थित थे, तीस हजार भेड़ों और बकरियों के बच्चे और तीन हजार बैल दिए थे; ये सब फसह के बलिदानों के लिये राजा की सम्पत्ति में से दिए गए थे।

8 ८ उसके हाकिमों ने प्रजा के लोगों, याजकों और लेवियों को स्वेच्छाबलियों के लिये पशु दिए। और हिल्किय्याह, जकर्याह और यहीएल नामक परमेश्वर के भवन के प्रधानों ने याजकों को दो हजार छः सौ भेड़-बकरियाँ और तीन सौ बैल फसह के बलिदानों के लिए दिए।
And hise duykis offriden tho thingis whiche thei avowiden bi fre wille, as wel to the puple as to prestis and dekenes. Forsothe Elchie, and Zacharie, and Jehiel, princes of the hows of the Lord, yauen to preestis, to make pask in comyn, two thousynde and sixe hundrid scheep, and thre hundrid oxis.
9 ९ कोनन्याह ने और शमायाह और नतनेल जो उसके भाई थे, और हशब्याह, यीएल और योजाबाद नामक लेवियों के प्रधानों ने लेवियों को पाँच हजार भेड़-बकरियाँ, और पाँच सौ बैल फसह के बलिदानों के लिये दिए।

10 १० इस प्रकार उपासना की तैयारी हो गई, और राजा की आज्ञा के अनुसार याजक अपने-अपने स्थान पर, और लेवीय अपने-अपने दल में खड़े हुए।

11 ११ तब फसह के पशुबलि किए गए, और याजक बलि करनेवालों के हाथ से लहू को लेकर छिड़क देते और लेवीय उनकी खाल उतारते गए।

12 १२ तब उन्होंने होमबलि के पशु इसलिए अलग किए कि उन्हें लोगों के पितरों के घरानों के भागों के अनुसार दें, कि वे उन्हें यहोवा के लिये चढ़वा दें जैसा कि मूसा की पुस्तक में लिखा है; और बैलों को भी उन्होंने वैसा ही किया।
for to yyue bi the housis and meyneis of alle men; and that tho schulden be offrid to the Lord, as it is writun in the book of Moises; and of oxis thei diden in lijk maner.
13 १३ तब उन्होंने फसह के पशुओं का माँस विधि के अनुसार आग में भूना, और पवित्र वस्तुएँ, हाँड़ियों और हण्डों और थालियों में सिझा कर फुर्ती से लोगों को पहुँचा दिया।
And thei rostiden pask on the fier, bi that that is writun in the lawe. Sotheli thei sethiden pesible sacrifices in pannes, and cawdruns, and pottis, and in haste thei deliden to al the puple;
14 १४ तब उन्होंने अपने लिये और याजकों के लिये तैयारी की, क्योंकि हारून की सन्तान के याजक होमबलि के पशु और चर्बी रात तक चढ़ाते रहे, इस कारण लेवियों ने अपने लिये और हारून की सन्तान के याजकों के लिये तैयारी की।
but thei maden redi aftirward to hem silf, and to prestis; for preestis weren occupied `til to nyyt in the offryng of brent sacrifices and of ynnere fatnessis. Wherfor dekenes maden redi to hem silf and to preestis, the sones of Aaron, `the laste.
15 १५ आसाप के वंश के गवैये, दाऊद, आसाप, हेमान और राजा के दर्शी यदूतून की आज्ञा के अनुसार अपने-अपने स्थान पर रहे, और द्वारपाल एक-एक फाटक पर रहे। उन्हें अपना-अपना काम छोड़ना न पड़ा, क्योंकि उनके भाई लेवियों ने उनके लिये तैयारी की।
Forsothe syngeris, the sones of Asaph, stoden in her ordre, bi the comaundement of Dauid, and of Asaph, and of Eman, and of Yditum, the profetis of the kyng; but the porteris kepten bi ech yate, so that thei yeden not awei fro the seruice, sotheli in a poynt; wherfor and dekenes, her britheren, maden redi metis to hem.
16 १६ अतः उसी दिन राजा योशिय्याह की आज्ञा के अनुसार फसह मनाने और यहोवा की वेदी पर होमबलि चढ़ाने के लिये यहोवा की सारी उपासना की तैयारी की गई।
Therfor al the religioun of the Lord was fillid riytfuli in that day, that thei maden pask, and offriden brent sacrifices on the auter of the Lord, bi the comaundement of kyng Josie.
17 १७ जो इस्राएली वहाँ उपस्थित थे उन्होंने फसह को उसी समय और अख़मीरी रोटी के पर्व को सात दिन तक माना।
And the sones of Israel, that weren foundun there, maden pask in that tyme, and the solempnite of therf looues seuene daies.
18 १८ इस फसह के बराबर शमूएल नबी के दिनों से इस्राएल में कोई फसह मनाया न गया था, और न इस्राएल के किसी राजा ने ऐसा मनाया, जैसा योशिय्याह और याजकों, लेवियों और जितने यहूदी और इस्राएली उपस्थित थे, उन्होंने और यरूशलेम के निवासियों ने मनाया।

20 २० इसके बाद जब योशिय्याह भवन को तैयार कर चुका, तब मिस्र के राजा नको ने फरात के पास के कर्कमीश नगर से लड़ने को चढ़ाई की, और योशिय्याह उसका सामना करने को गया।

21 २१ परन्तु उसने उसके पास दूतों से कहला भेजा, “हे यहूदा के राजा मेरा तुझ से क्या काम! आज मैं तुझ पर नहीं उसी कुल पर चढ़ाई कर रहा हूँ, जिसके साथ मैं युद्ध करता हूँ; फिर परमेश्वर ने मुझसे फुर्ती करने को कहा है। इसलिए परमेश्वर जो मेरे संग है, उससे अलग रह, कहीं ऐसा न हो कि वह तुझे नाश करे।”
And he seide bi messangeris sent to hym, Kyng of Juda, what is to me and to thee? Y come not ayens thee to dai, but Y fiyte ayens another hows, to which God bad me go in haste; ceesse thou to do ayens God, which is with me, lest he sle thee.
22 २२ परन्तु योशिय्याह ने उससे मुँह न मोड़ा, वरन् उससे लड़ने के लिये भेष बदला, और नको के उन वचनों को न माना जो उसने परमेश्वर की ओर से कहे थे, और मगिद्दो की तराई में उससे युद्ध करने को गया।

23 २३ तब धनुर्धारियों ने राजा योशिय्याह की ओर तीर छोड़े; और राजा ने अपने सेवकों से कहा, “मैं बहुत घायल हो गया हूँ, इसलिए मुझे यहाँ से ले चलो।”
And there he was woundide of archeris, and seide to hise children, `Lede ye me out of the batel, for Y am woundid greetli.
24 २४ तब उसके सेवकों ने उसको रथ पर से उतारकर उसके दूसरे रथ पर चढ़ाया, और यरूशलेम ले गये। वहाँ वह मर गया और उसके पुरखाओं के कब्रिस्तान में उसको मिट्टी दी गई। यहूदियों और यरूशलेमियों ने योशिय्याह के लिए विलाप किया।
Whiche baren hym ouer fro the chare in to an other chare, that suede hym, bi custom of the kyng, and `baren out hym in to Jerusalem; and he diede, and was biried in the sepulcre of hise fadris. And al Juda and Jerusalem biweiliden hym,
25 २५ यिर्मयाह ने योशिय्याह के लिये विलाप का गीत बनाया और सब गानेवाले और गानेवालियाँ अपने विलाप के गीतों में योशिय्याह की चर्चा आज तक करती हैं। इनका गाना इस्राएल में एक विधि के तुल्य ठहराया गया और ये बातें विलापगीतों में लिखी हुई हैं।

26 २६ योशिय्याह के और काम और भक्ति के जो काम उसने उसी के अनुसार किए जो यहोवा की व्यवस्था में लिखा हुआ है।

and hise werkis, `the firste and the laste, ben wryten in the book of kyngis of Israel and of Juda.
