| ואשב ואשא עיני ואראה והנה ארבע מרכבות יצאות מבין שני ההרים וההרים הרי נחשת׃ | 1 |
Again I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and look, four chariots came out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of bronze.
| במרכבה הראשנה סוסים אדמים ובמרכבה השנית סוסים שחרים׃ | 2 |
In the first chariot were red horses; in the second chariot black horses;
| ובמרכבה השלשית סוסים לבנים ובמרכבה הרבעית סוסים ברדים אמצים׃ | 3 |
in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot dappled horses, all of them powerful.
| ואען ואמר אל המלאך הדבר בי מה אלה אדני׃ | 4 |
Then I asked the angel who talked with me, "What are these, my lord?"
| ויען המלאך ויאמר אלי אלה ארבע רחות השמים יוצאות מהתיצב על אדון כל הארץ׃ | 5 |
The angel answered me, "These are the four winds of the sky, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth.
| אשר בה הסוסים השחרים יצאים אל ארץ צפון והלבנים יצאו אל אחריהם והברדים יצאו אל ארץ התימן׃ | 6 |
The one with the black horses goes out toward the north country; and the white went out after them; and the dappled went forth toward the south country."
| והאמצים יצאו ויבקשו ללכת להתהלך בארץ ויאמר לכו התהלכו בארץ ותתהלכנה בארץ׃ | 7 |
The strong went out, and sought to go that they might walk back and forth through the earth: and he said, "Go around and through the earth." So they walked back and forth through the earth.
| ויזעק אתי וידבר אלי לאמר ראה היוצאים אל ארץ צפון הניחו את רוחי בארץ צפון׃ | 8 |
Then he called to me, and spoke to me, saying, "Look, those who go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country."
| ויהי דבר יהוה אלי לאמר׃ | 9 |
The word of the LORD came to me, saying,
| לקוח מאת הגולה מחלדי ומאת טוביה ומאת ידעיה ובאת אתה ביום ההוא ובאת בית יאשיה בן צפניה אשר באו מבבל׃ | 10 |
"Take of them of the captivity, even of Heldai, of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah; and come the same day, and go into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah, where they have come from Babylon.
| ולקחת כסף וזהב ועשית עטרות ושמת בראש יהושע בן יהוצדק הכהן הגדול׃ | 11 |
Take silver and gold, and make a crown, and set it on the head of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest;
| ואמרת אליו לאמר כה אמר יהוה צבאות לאמר הנה איש צמח שמו ומתחתיו יצמח ובנה את היכל יהוה׃ | 12 |
and speak to him, saying, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts, "Look, the man whose name is the Branch: and he shall grow up out of his place; and he shall build the temple of the LORD;
| והוא יבנה את היכל יהוה והוא ישא הוד וישב ומשל על כסאו והיה כהן על כסאו ועצת שלום תהיה בין שניהם׃ | 13 |
even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule on his throne; and he shall be a priest on his throne; and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.
| והעטרת תהיה לחלם ולטוביה ולידעיה ולחן בן צפניה לזכרון בהיכל יהוה׃ | 14 |
And the crown shall be to Heldai, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Josiah the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of the LORD.
| ורחוקים יבאו ובנו בהיכל יהוה וידעתם כי יהוה צבאות שלחני אליכם והיה אם שמוע תשמעון בקול יהוה אלהיכם׃ | 15 |
Those who are far off shall come and build in the temple of the LORD; and you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you. This will happen, if you will diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God."'"
