תהילים 47

1 למנצח לבני קרח מזמור כל העמים תקעו כף הריעו לאלהים בקול רנה׃

“For the leader of the music. A psalm of the sons of Korah.” O clap your hands, all ye nations! Shout unto God with the voice of triumph!

2 כי יהוה עליון נורא מלך גדול על כל הארץ׃

For terrible is Jehovah, the Most High, The great king over all the earth.

3 ידבר עמים תחתינו ולאמים תחת רגלינו׃

He hath subdued nations under us, And kingdoms under our feet;

4 יבחר לנו את נחלתנו את גאון יעקב אשר אהב סלה׃

He hath chosen for us an inheritance, The glory of Jacob, whom he loved. (Pause)

5 עלה אלהים בתרועה יהוה בקול שופר׃

God goeth up with a shout; Jehovah with the sound of the trumpet.

6 זמרו אלהים זמרו זמרו למלכנו זמרו׃

Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises to our king, sing praises!

7 כי מלך כל הארץ אלהים זמרו משכיל׃

For God is king of all the earth; Sing to him hymns of praise!

8 מלך אלהים על גוים אלהים ישב על כסא קדשו׃

God reigneth over the nations; God sitteth upon his holy throne.

9 נדיבי עמים נאספו עם אלהי אברהם כי לאלהים מגני ארץ מאד נעלה׃

The princes of the nations gather themselves together To the people of the God of Abraham; For the mighty of the earth belong to God; He is supremely exalted.
