איוב 36

1 ויסף אליהוא ויאמר׃

And he added Elihu and he said.

2 כתר לי זעיר ואחוך כי עוד לאלוה מלים׃

Wait for me a little so I may show you that still [are] for God words.

3 אשא דעי למרחוק ולפעלי אתן צדק׃

I will bear knowledge my from afar and to maker my I will ascribe righteousness.

4 כי אמנם לא שקר מלי תמים דעות עמך׃

For truly not [are] falsehood words my [one] complete of knowledge [is] with you.

5 הן אל כביר ולא ימאס כביר כח לב׃

There! God [is] mighty and not he rejects mighty strength of heart.

6 לא יחיה רשע ומשפט עניים יתן׃

Not he preserves alive [the] wicked and [the] justice of afflicted [people] he gives.

7 לא יגרע מצדיק עיניו ואת מלכים לכסא וישיבם לנצח ויגבהו׃

Not he withdraws from [the] righteous eyes his and kings to the throne and he has made sit them to perpetuity and they have become exalted.

8 ואם אסורים בזקים ילכדון בחבלי עני׃

And if [they are] bound in fetters they are caught! in cords of affliction.

9 ויגד להם פעלם ופשעיהם כי יתגברו׃

And he told to them work their and transgressions their that they were behaving proudly.

10 ויגל אזנם למוסר ויאמר כי ישבון מאון׃

And he uncovered ear their for correction and he said that they will turn away! from wickedness.

11 אם ישמעו ויעבדו יכלו ימיהם בטוב ושניהם בנעימים׃

If they will hear and they may serve [him] they will bring to an end days their in good and years their in pleasant [things].

12 ואם לא ישמעו בשלח יעברו ויגועו בבלי דעת׃

And if not they will hear by a missile they will pass away and they may expire like not knowledge.

13 וחנפי לב ישימו אף לא ישועו כי אסרם׃

And [people] godless of heart they put anger not they cry for help if he has bound them.

14 תמת בנער נפשם וחיתם בקדשים׃

It dies in youth self their and life their among the temple prostitutes.

15 יחלץ עני בעניו ויגל בלחץ אזנם׃

He rescues [the] afflicted by affliction his and he uncovers by oppression ear their.

16 ואף הסיתך מפי צר רחב לא מוצק תחתיה ונחת שלחנך מלא דשן׃

And also he has allured you - from [the] mouth of enemy a broad place not constraint in place its and [the] quietness of table your it was full fatness.

17 ודין רשע מלאת דין ומשפט יתמכו׃

And judgment of [the] wicked you are full judgment and justice they take hold of [you].

18 כי חמה פן יסיתך בספק ורב כפר אל יטך׃

For rage lest it should entice you in mockery and [the] greatness of [the] ransom may not it turn aside you.

19 היערך שועך לא בצר וכל מאמצי כח׃

¿ Will it set in order opulence your not in distress and all [the] efforts of strength.

20 אל תשאף הלילה לעלות עמים תחתם׃

May not you long for the night to go up peoples in place their.

21 השמר אל תפן אל און כי על זה בחרת מעני׃

Take heed may not you turn to wickedness for this you have chosen more than affliction.

22 הן אל ישגיב בכחו מי כמהו מורה׃

There! God he is exalted in power his who? like him [is] a teacher.

23 מי פקד עליו דרכו ומי אמר פעלת עולה׃

Who? has he assigned on him way his and who? has he said you have done unrighteousness.

24 זכר כי תשגיא פעלו אשר שררו אנשים׃

Remember that you will magnify work his which they have sung people.

25 כל אדם חזו בו אנוש יביט מרחוק׃

All humankind they have looked on it human[s] he looks from a distance.

26 הן אל שגיא ולא נדע מספר שניו ולא חקר׃

There! God [is] exalted and not we know [him] [the] number of years his and not inquiry.

27 כי יגרע נטפי מים יזקו מטר לאדו׃

For he draws up drops of water they refine rain to mist its.

28 אשר יזלו שחקים ירעפו עלי אדם רב׃

Which they flow [the] clouds they drip on - humankind numerous.

29 אף אם יבין מפרשי עב תשאות סכתו׃

Also if anyone understands [the] spreading out of dark cloud [the] crashes of pavilion his.

30 הן פרש עליו אורו ושרשי הים כסה׃

There! he spreads out on him light his and [the] roots of the sea he covers.

31 כי בם ידין עמים יתן אכל למכביר׃

For by them he judges peoples he gives food to abundance.

32 על כפים כסה אור ויצו עליה במפגיע׃

Over palms of hands he covers light and he commanded to it in an assailant.

33 יגיד עליו רעו מקנה אף על עולה׃

It tells on him roar his livestock also on [one who] comes up.
