דברים 11

1 ואהבת את יהוה אלהיך ושמרת משמרתו וחקתיו ומשפטיו ומצותיו כל הימים׃

And you will love Yahweh God your and you will keep command his and statutes his and judgments his and commandments his all the days.

2 וידעתם היום כי לא את בניכם אשר לא ידעו ואשר לא ראו את מוסר יהוה אלהיכם את גדלו את ידו החזקה וזרעו הנטויה׃

And you will know this day that - not children your who not they have known and who not they have seen [the] training of Yahweh God your greatness his hand his mighty and arm his outstretched.

3 ואת אתתיו ואת מעשיו אשר עשה בתוך מצרים לפרעה מלך מצרים ולכל ארצו׃

And signs his and deeds his which he did in [the] midst of Egypt to Pharaoh [the] king of Egypt and to all land his.

4 ואשר עשה לחיל מצרים לסוסיו ולרכבו אשר הציף את מי ים סוף על פניהם ברדפם אחריכם ויאבדם יהוה עד היום הזה׃

And which he did to [the] army of Egypt to horses its and to chariotry its when he caused to flow [the] water of [the] sea of reed[s] over faces their when pursued they after you and he destroyed them Yahweh until the day this.

5 ואשר עשה לכם במדבר עד באכם עד המקום הזה׃

And which he did to you in the wilderness until came you to the place this.

6 ואשר עשה לדתן ולאבירם בני אליאב בן ראובן אשר פצתה הארץ את פיה ותבלעם ואת בתיהם ואת אהליהם ואת כל היקום אשר ברגליהם בקרב כל ישראל׃

And which he did to Dathan and to Abiram [the] sons of Eliab [the] son of Reuben when it opened the earth mouth its and it swallowed them and households their and tents their and all the substance which [was] at feet their in [the] midst of all Israel.

7 כי עיניכם הראת את כל מעשה יהוה הגדל אשר עשה׃

For eyes your [are] the [ones which] saw all [the] work of Yahweh great which he did.

8 ושמרתם את כל המצוה אשר אנכי מצוך היום למען תחזקו ובאתם וירשתם את הארץ אשר אתם עברים שמה לרשתה׃

And you will keep all the commandment which I [am] commanding you this day so that you may be strong and you will go and you will take possession of the land where you [are] about to pass over there towards to take possession of it.

9 ולמען תאריכו ימים על האדמה אשר נשבע יהוה לאבתיכם לתת להם ולזרעם ארץ זבת חלב ודבש׃

And so that you may prolong days on the land which he swore Yahweh to ancestors your to give to them and to offspring their a land flowing of milk and honey.

10 כי הארץ אשר אתה בא שמה לרשתה לא כארץ מצרים הוא אשר יצאתם משם אשר תזרע את זרעך והשקית ברגלך כגן הירק׃

For the land where you [are] about to go there towards to take possession of it not [is] like [the] land of Egypt it where you came out from there where you sowed seed your and you watered [it] with foot your like [the] garden of vegetable[s].

11 והארץ אשר אתם עברים שמה לרשתה ארץ הרים ובקעת למטר השמים תשתה מים׃

And the land where you [are] about to pass over there towards to take possession of it [is] a land of mountains and valleys to [the] rain of the heavens it drinks water.

12 ארץ אשר יהוה אלהיך דרש אתה תמיד עיני יהוה אלהיך בה מרשית השנה ועד אחרית שנה׃

A land which Yahweh God your [is] caring for it continually [the] eyes of Yahweh God your [are] on it from [the] beginning of the year and until [the] end of a year.

13 והיה אם שמע תשמעו אל מצותי אשר אנכי מצוה אתכם היום לאהבה את יהוה אלהיכם ולעבדו בכל לבבכם ובכל נפשכם׃

And it will be certainly [if] you will obey commandments my which I [am] commanding you this day to love Yahweh God your and to serve him with all heart your and with all being your.

14 ונתתי מטר ארצכם בעתו יורה ומלקוש ואספת דגנך ותירשך ויצהרך׃

And I will give [the] rain of land your at appropriate time its autumn rain and spring rain and you will gather grain your and new wine your and fresh oil your.

15 ונתתי עשב בשדך לבהמתך ואכלת ושבעת׃

And I will give grass in field[s] your for cattle your and you will eat and you will be satisfied.

16 השמרו לכם פן יפתה לבבכם וסרתם ועבדתם אלהים אחרים והשתחויתם להם׃

Take heed to yourselves lest it should be deceived heart your and you will turn aside and you will serve gods other and you will bow down to them.

17 וחרה אף יהוה בכם ועצר את השמים ולא יהיה מטר והאדמה לא תתן את יבולה ואבדתם מהרה מעל הארץ הטבה אשר יהוה נתן לכם׃

And it will burn [the] anger of Yahweh on you and he will shut up the heavens and not it will come rain and the ground not it will yield produce its and you will perish quickly from on the land good which Yahweh [is] about to give to you.

18 ושמתם את דברי אלה על לבבכם ועל נפשכם וקשרתם אתם לאות על ידכם והיו לטוטפת בין עיניכם׃

And you will put words my these on heart your and on being your and you will tie them for a sign on hand your and they will be for marks between eyes your.

19 ולמדתם אתם את בניכם לדבר בם בשבתך בביתך ובלכתך בדרך ובשכבך ובקומך׃

And you will teach them children your by speaking in them when sitting you in house your and when walking you on the road and when lying down you and when rising up you.

20 וכתבתם על מזוזות ביתך ובשעריך׃

And you will write them on [the] doorposts of house your and on gates your.

21 למען ירבו ימיכם וימי בניכם על האדמה אשר נשבע יהוה לאבתיכם לתת להם כימי השמים על הארץ׃

So that they may increase days your and [the] days of children your on the land which he swore Yahweh to ancestors your to give to them like [the] days of the heavens above the earth.

22 כי אם שמר תשמרון את כל המצוה הזאת אשר אנכי מצוה אתכם לעשתה לאהבה את יהוה אלהיכם ללכת בכל דרכיו ולדבקה בו׃

That except certainly you will keep! all the commandment this which I [am] commanding you to do it to love Yahweh God your to walk in all ways his and to cleave to him.

23 והוריש יהוה את כל הגוים האלה מלפניכם וירשתם גוים גדלים ועצמים מכם׃

And he will dispossess Yahweh all the nations these from to before you and you will dispossess nations great and mighty more than you.

24 כל המקום אשר תדרך כף רגלכם בו לכם יהיה מן המדבר והלבנון מן הנהר נהר פרת ועד הים האחרון יהיה גבלכם׃

Every place which it will tread [the] sole of foot your on it to you it will belong from the wilderness and Lebanon from the River [the] river of Euphrates and to the sea western it will be territory your.

25 לא יתיצב איש בפניכם פחדכם ומוראכם יתן יהוה אלהיכם על פני כל הארץ אשר תדרכו בה כאשר דבר לכם׃

Not he will stand anyone in faces your dread your and fear your he will put - Yahweh God your over [the] face of all the land which you will tread on it just as he spoke to you.

26 ראה אנכי נתן לפניכם היום ברכה וקללה׃

See I [am] setting before you this day a blessing and a curse.

27 את הברכה אשר תשמעו אל מצות יהוה אלהיכם אשר אנכי מצוה אתכם היום׃

The blessing that you will obey [the] commandments of Yahweh God your which I [am] commanding you this day.

28 והקללה אם לא תשמעו אל מצות יהוה אלהיכם וסרתם מן הדרך אשר אנכי מצוה אתכם היום ללכת אחרי אלהים אחרים אשר לא ידעתם׃

And the curse if not you will obey [the] commandments of Yahweh God your and you will turn aside from the way which I [am] commanding you this day to walk after gods other which not you have known.

29 והיה כי יביאך יהוה אלהיך אל הארץ אשר אתה בא שמה לרשתה ונתתה את הברכה על הר גרזים ואת הקללה על הר עיבל׃

And it will be that he will bring you Yahweh God your into the land where you [are] about to go there towards to take possession of it and you will set the blessing on [the] mountain of Gerizim and the curse on [the] mountain of Ebal.

30 הלא המה בעבר הירדן אחרי דרך מבוא השמש בארץ הכנעני הישב בערבה מול הגלגל אצל אלוני מרה׃

¿ Not [are] they on [the] other side of the Jordan behind [the] direction of [the] setting of the sun in [the] land of the Canaanite[s] who is dwelling in the Arabah opposite to Gilgal beside [the] great trees of Moreh.

31 כי אתם עברים את הירדן לבא לרשת את הארץ אשר יהוה אלהיכם נתן לכם וירשתם אתה וישבתם בה׃

For you [are] about to pass over the Jordan to go to take possession of the land which Yahweh God your [is] about to give to you and you will take possession of it and you will dwell in it.

32 ושמרתם לעשות את כל החקים ואת המשפטים אשר אנכי נתן לפניכם היום׃

And you will take care to observe all the statutes and the judgments which I [am] setting before you this day.
