דברי הימים ב 9
| ומלכת שבא שמעה את שמע שלמה ותבוא לנסות את שלמה בחידות בירושלם בחיל כבד מאד וגמלים נשאים בשמים וזהב לרב ואבן יקרה ותבוא אל שלמה ותדבר עמו את כל אשר היה עם לבבה׃ | 1 |
And [the] queen of Sheba she heard [the] report of Solomon and she came to put to [the] test Solomon by difficult matters in Jerusalem with a retinue numerous very and camels carrying spices and gold to abundance and stone[s] precious and she came to Solomon and she spoke with him all that it was with heart her.
| ויגד לה שלמה את כל דבריה ולא נעלם דבר משלמה אשר לא הגיד לה׃ | 2 |
And he told to her Solomon all words her and not it was concealed a word from Solomon which not he told to her.
| ותרא מלכת שבא את חכמת שלמה והבית אשר בנה׃ | 3 |
And she saw [the] queen of Sheba [the] wisdom of Solomon and the house which he had built.
| ומאכל שלחנו ומושב עבדיו ומעמד משרתיו ומלבושיהם ומשקיו ומלבושיהם ועליתו אשר יעלה בית יהוה ולא היה עוד בה רוח׃ | 4 |
And [the] food of table his and [the] seating of servants his and [the] standing of servants his and clothes their and cup-bearers his and clothes their and upper room his which he went up [the] house of Yahweh and not it was still in her breath.
| ותאמר אל המלך אמת הדבר אשר שמעתי בארצי על דבריך ועל חכמתך׃ | 5 |
And she said to the king [was] truth the word which I heard in own land my on words your and on wisdom your.
| ולא האמנתי לדבריהם עד אשר באתי ותראינה עיני והנה לא הגד לי חצי מרבית חכמתך יספת על השמועה אשר שמעתי׃ | 6 |
And not I believed words their until that I came and they saw eyes my and here! not it was told to me [the] half of [the] greatness of wisdom your you have added to the report which I heard.
| אשרי אנשיך ואשרי עבדיך אלה העמדים לפניך תמיד ושמעים את חכמתך׃ | 7 |
How blessed! [are] people your and how blessed! [are] servants your these who stand before you continually and [who] hear wisdom your.
| יהי יהוה אלהיך ברוך אשר חפץ בך לתתך על כסאו למלך ליהוה אלהיך באהבת אלהיך את ישראל להעמידו לעולם ויתנך עליהם למלך לעשות משפט וצדקה׃ | 8 |
May he be Yahweh God your blessed who - he has delighted in you to put you on throne his to king for Yahweh God your because loves God your Israel to make stand it for ever and he has appointed you over them to king to do justice and righteousness.
| ותתן למלך מאה ועשרים ככר זהב ובשמים לרב מאד ואבן יקרה ולא היה כבשם ההוא אשר נתנה מלכת שבא למלך שלמה׃ | 9 |
And she gave to the king one hundred and twenty - talent[s] of gold and spices to abundance exceedingly and stone[s] precious and not it has been like the spice that which she gave [the] queen of Sheba to the king Solomon.
| וגם עבדי חירם ועבדי שלמה אשר הביאו זהב מאופיר הביאו עצי אלגומים ואבן יקרה׃ | 10 |
And also [the] servants of (Huram *QK) and [the] servants of Solomon who they brought gold from Ophir they brought wood of algum and stone[s] precious.
| ויעש המלך את עצי האלגומים מסלות לבית יהוה ולבית המלך וכנרות ונבלים לשרים ולא נראו כהם לפנים בארץ יהודה׃ | 11 |
And he made the king [the] wood of the algum tracks for [the] house of Yahweh and for [the] house of the king and harps and lyres for the singers and not they had been seen like them before in [the] land of Judah.
| והמלך שלמה נתן למלכת שבא את כל חפצה אשר שאלה מלבד אשר הביאה אל המלך ותהפך ותלך לארצה היא ועבדיה׃ | 12 |
And the king Solomon he gave to [the] queen of Sheba all desire her which she asked besides [that] which she had brought to the king and she turned and she went to own land her she and servants her.
| ויהי משקל הזהב אשר בא לשלמה בשנה אחת שש מאות וששים ושש ככרי זהב׃ | 13 |
And it was [the] weight of the gold which it came to Solomon in a year one six hundred and sixty and six talents of gold.
| לבד מאנשי התרים והסחרים מביאים וכל מלכי ערב ופחות הארץ מביאים זהב וכסף לשלמה׃ | 14 |
Apart from [the] men of the merchants and the traders [were] bringing and all [the] kings of Arabia and [the] governors of the land [were] bringing gold and silver to Solomon.
| ויעש המלך שלמה מאתים צנה זהב שחוט שש מאות זהב שחוט יעלה על הצנה האחת׃ | 15 |
And he made the king Solomon two hundred body shield[s] gold beaten six hundred gold beaten he put up on the body shield one.
| ושלש מאות מגנים זהב שחוט שלש מאות זהב יעלה על המגן האחת ויתנם המלך בבית יער הלבנון׃ | 16 |
And three hundred shields gold beaten three hundred gold he put up on the shield one and he put them the king in [the] House of [the] Forest of Lebanon.
| ויעש המלך כסא שן גדול ויצפהו זהב טהור׃ | 17 |
And he made the king a throne of ivory great and he overlaid it gold pure.
| ושש מעלות לכסא וכבש בזהב לכסא מאחזים וידות מזה ומזה על מקום השבת ושנים אריות עמדים אצל הידות׃ | 18 |
And six steps [belonged] to the throne and a footstool in gold to the throne [were] attached and hands from this and from this [were] on [the] place of the sitting and two lions [were] standing beside the hands.
| ושנים עשר אריות עמדים שם על שש המעלות מזה ומזה לא נעשה כן לכל ממלכה׃ | 19 |
And two plus ten lions [were] standing there on [the] six the steps from this and from this not it had been made thus for any kingdom.
| וכל כלי משקה המלך שלמה זהב וכל כלי בית יער הלבנון זהב סגור אין כסף נחשב בימי שלמה למאומה׃ | 20 |
And all [the] vessels of [the] drink of the king Solomon [were] gold and all [the] utensils of [the] House of [the] Forest of Lebanon [were] gold pure gold not silver [was] esteemed in [the] days of Solomon to anything.
| כי אניות למלך הלכות תרשיש עם עבדי חורם אחת לשלוש שנים תבואנה אניות תרשיש נשאות זהב וכסף שנהבים וקופים ותוכיים׃ | 21 |
For ships of the king [were] going Tarshish with [the] servants of Huram one [time] to three years they came - ships of Tarshish carrying gold and silver ivori and monkeys and apes.
| ויגדל המלך שלמה מכל מלכי הארץ לעשר וחכמה׃ | 22 |
And he became great the king Solomon more than all [the] kings of the earth to wealth and wisdom.
| וכל מלכי הארץ מבקשים את פני שלמה לשמע את חכמתו אשר נתן האלהים בלבו׃ | 23 |
And all [the] kings of the earth [were] seeking [the] face of Solomon to hear wisdom his which he had put God in heart his.
| והם מביאים איש מנחתו כלי כסף וכלי זהב ושלמות נשק ובשמים סוסים ופרדים דבר שנה בשנה׃ | 24 |
And they [were] bringing everyone gift his articles of silver and articles of gold and garments weaponry and spices horses and mules [the] matter of a year in a year.
| ויהי לשלמה ארבעת אלפים אריות סוסים ומרכבות ושנים עשר אלף פרשים ויניחם בערי הרכב ועם המלך בירושלם׃ | 25 |
And it belonged to Solomon four thousand stalls of horses and chariots and two plus ten thousand horsemen and he placed them in [the] cities of chariotry and with the king in Jerusalem.
| ויהי מושל בכל המלכים מן הנהר ועד ארץ פלשתים ועד גבול מצרים׃ | 26 |
And he was ruling over all the kings from the river and to [the] land of [the] Philistines and to [the] border of Egypt.
| ויתן המלך את הכסף בירושלם כאבנים ואת הארזים נתן כשקמים אשר בשפלה לרב׃ | 27 |
And he made the king silver in Jerusalem like stones and cedars he made like the sycamores which [are] in the Shephelah for abundance.
| ומוציאים סוסים ממצרים לשלמה ומכל הארצות׃ | 28 |
And [were] brought out horses from Egypt for Solomon and from all the lands.
| ושאר דברי שלמה הראשנים והאחרונים הלא הם כתובים על דברי נתן הנביא ועל נבואת אחיה השילוני ובחזות יעדי החזה על ירבעם בן נבט׃ | 29 |
And [the] rest of [the] matters of Solomon former and latter ¿ not [are] they written on [the] words of Nathan the prophet and on [the] prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite and in [the] visions (Iddo *QK) the seer on Jeroboam [the] son of Nebat.
| וימלך שלמה בירושלם על כל ישראל ארבעים שנה׃ | 30 |
And he reigned Solomon in Jerusalem over all Israel forty year[s].
| וישכב שלמה עם אבתיו ויקברהו בעיר דויד אביו וימלך רחבעם בנו תחתיו׃ | 31 |
And he lay down Solomon with ancestors his and people buried him in [the] city of David father his and he became king Rehoboam son his in place of him.
