דברי הימים א 11
| ויקבצו כל ישראל אל דויד חברונה לאמר הנה עצמך ובשרך אנחנו׃ | 1 |
And they gathered together all Israel to David Hebron towards saying here! [are] bone your and flesh your we.
| גם תמול גם שלשום גם בהיות שאול מלך אתה המוציא והמביא את ישראל ויאמר יהוה אלהיך לך אתה תרעה את עמי את ישראל ואתה תהיה נגיד על עמי ישראל׃ | 2 |
Both yesterday as well as three days ago also when was Saul king you [were] the [one who] led out and the [one who] brought Israel and he said Yahweh God your to you you you will shepherd people my Israel and you you will be ruler over people my Israel.
| ויבאו כל זקני ישראל אל המלך חברונה ויכרת להם דויד ברית בחברון לפני יהוה וימשחו את דויד למלך על ישראל כדבר יהוה ביד שמואל׃ | 3 |
And they came all [the] elders of Israel to the king Hebron towards and he made to them David a covenant at Hebron before Yahweh and they anointed David to king over Israel according to [the] word of Yahweh by [the] hand of Samuel.
| וילך דויד וכל ישראל ירושלם היא יבוס ושם היבוסי ישבי הארץ׃ | 4 |
And he went David and all Israel Jerusalem it [was] Jebus and [were] there the Jebusite[s] [the] inhabitants of the land.
| ויאמרו ישבי יבוס לדויד לא תבוא הנה וילכד דויד את מצדת ציון היא עיר דויד׃ | 5 |
And they said [the] inhabitants of Jebus to David not you will enter here and he captured David [the] stronghold of Zion it [was] [the] city of David.
| ויאמר דויד כל מכה יבוסי בראשונה יהיה לראש ולשר ויעל בראשונה יואב בן צרויה ויהי לראש׃ | 6 |
And he had said David any [one who] strikes down a Jebusite at the first he will become a chief and a commander and he went up at the first Joab [the] son of Zeruiah and he became a chief.
| וישב דויד במצד על כן קראו לו עיר דויד׃ | 7 |
And he dwelt David in the fortress there-fore people called it [the] city of David.
| ויבן העיר מסביב מן המלוא ועד הסביב ויואב יחיה את שאר העיר׃ | 8 |
And he built the city from round about from the Millo and to the surroundings and Joab he restored [the] remainder of the city.
| וילך דויד הלוך וגדול ויהוה צבאות עמו׃ | 9 |
And he went David continuously and becoming great and Yahweh of hosts [was] with him.
| ואלה ראשי הגבורים אשר לדויד המתחזקים עמו במלכותו עם כל ישראל להמליכו כדבר יהוה על ישראל׃ | 10 |
And these [were] [the] chiefs of the mighty [men] who [belonged] to David who held strongly with him in kingdom his with all Israel to make king him according to [the] word of Yahweh on Israel.
| ואלה מספר הגברים אשר לדויד ישבעם בן חכמוני ראש השלושים הוא עורר את חניתו על שלש מאות חלל בפעם אחת׃ | 11 |
And these [are] [the] number of the mighty [men] who [belonged] to David Jashobeam a son of a Hacmonite [was] [the] chief of (the officers *Q(K)*) he he wielded spear his on three hundred [one] slain at a time one.
| ואחריו אלעזר בן דודו האחוחי הוא בשלושה הגברים׃ | 12 |
And after him Eleazar [the] son of Dodo the Ahohite he [was] among three the mighty [men].
| הוא היה עם דויד בפס דמים והפלשתים נאספו שם למלחמה ותהי חלקת השדה מלאה שעורים והעם נסו מפני פלשתים׃ | 13 |
He he was with David at Pas Dammim and the Philistines they were gathered there for battle and it was [the] portion of the field full barley and the people they fled from before [the] Philistines.
| ויתיצבו בתוך החלקה ויצילוה ויכו את פלשתים ויושע יהוה תשועה גדולה׃ | 14 |
And they took their stand in [the] middle of the portion and they defended it and they struck down [the] Philistines and he delivered Yahweh a deliverance great.
| וירדו שלושה מן השלושים ראש על הצר אל דויד אל מערת עדלם ומחנה פלשתים חנה בעמק רפאים׃ | 15 |
And they went down three of the thirty chief to the rock to David to [the] cave of Adullam and [the] camp of [the] Philistines [was] encamped in [the] valley of [the] Rephaites.
| ודויד אז במצודה ונציב פלשתים אז בבית לחם׃ | 16 |
And David then [was] in the stronghold and [the] garrison of [the] Philistines then [was] at Beth-lehem.
| ויתאו דויד ויאמר מי ישקני מים מבור בית לחם אשר בשער׃ | 17 |
(And he craved *Q(k)*) David and he said who? will he give to drink me water from [the] well of Beth-lehem which [is] at the gate.
| ויבקעו השלשה במחנה פלשתים וישאבו מים מבור בית לחם אשר בשער וישאו ויבאו אל דויד ולא אבה דויד לשתותם וינסך אתם ליהוה׃ | 18 |
And they broke through the three in [the] camp of [the] Philistines and they drew water from [the] well of Beth-lehem which [was] at the gate and they carried [them] and they brought [them] to David and not he was willing David to drink them and he poured out them to Yahweh.
| ויאמר חלילה לי מאלהי מעשות זאת הדם האנשים האלה אשתה בנפשותם כי בנפשותם הביאום ולא אבה לשתותם אלה עשו שלשת הגבורים׃ | 19 |
And he said far be it to me from God my from doing this [thing] ¿ [the] blood of the men these will I drink by lives their for by lives their they brought them and not he was willing to drink them these [things] they did [the] three the mighty [men].
| ואבשי אחי יואב הוא היה ראש השלושה והוא עורר את חניתו על שלש מאות חלל ולא שם בשלושה׃ | 20 |
And Abishai [the] brother of Joab he he was [the] chief of the three and he he wielded spear his on three hundred [one] slain (and [belonged] to him *Q(K)*) a name with the three.
| מן השלושה בשנים נכבד ויהי להם לשר ועד השלושה לא בא׃ | 21 |
More than the three by twofold [he was] honored and he became of them a commander and to the three not he came.
| בניה בן יהוידע בן איש חיל רב פעלים מן קבצאל הוא הכה את שני אריאל מואב והוא ירד והכה את הארי בתוך הבור ביום השלג׃ | 22 |
Benaiah [the] son of Jehoiada [was] a son of a man of strength great of deeds from Kabzeel he he struck down two Ariel of Moab and he he went down and he struck down the lion in [the] midst of the pit on [the] day of the snow.
| והוא הכה את האיש המצרי איש מדה חמש באמה וביד המצרי חנית כמנור ארגים וירד אליו בשבט ויגזל את החנית מיד המצרי ויהרגהו בחניתו׃ | 23 |
And he he struck down the man Egyptian a man of stature - five by the cubit and [was] in [the] hand of the Egyptian a spear like a beam of weavers and he went down to him with the club and he tore away the spear from [the] hand of the Egyptian and he killed him with own spear his.
| אלה עשה בניהו בן יהוידע ולו שם בשלושה הגברים׃ | 24 |
These [things] he did Benaiah [the] son of Jehoiada and [belonged] to him a name with three the mighty [men].
| מן השלושים הנו נכבד הוא ואל השלושה לא בא וישימהו דויד על משמעתו׃ | 25 |
More than the thirty there he [was] honored he and to the three not he came and he appointed him David over bodyguard his.
| וגבורי החילים עשה אל אחי יואב אלחנן בן דודו מבית לחם׃ | 26 |
And [the] mighty [men] of strength Asah-el [the] brother of Joab Elhanan [the] son of Dodo from Beth-lehem.
| שמות ההרורי חלץ הפלוני׃ | 27 |
Shammoth the Harorite Helez the Pelonite.
| עירא בן עקש התקועי אביעזר הענתותי׃ | 28 |
Ira [the] son of Ikkesh the Tekoite Abiezer the Anathothite.
| סבכי החשתי עילי האחוחי׃ | 29 |
Sibbecai the Hushathite Ilai the Ahohite.
| מהרי הנטפתי חלד בן בענה הנטופתי׃ | 30 |
Maharai the Netophathite Heled [the] son of Baanah the Netophathite.
| איתי בן ריבי מגבעת בני בנימן בניה הפרעתני׃ | 31 |
Ittai [the] son of Ribai from Gibeah of [the] descendants of Benjamin. Benaiah the Pirathonite.
| חורי מנחלי געש אביאל הערבתי׃ | 32 |
Hurai from [the] wadis of Gaash. Abiel the Arbathite.
| עזמות הבחרומי אליחבא השעלבני׃ | 33 |
Azmaveth the Baharumite Eliahba the Shaalbonite.
| בני השם הגזוני יונתן בן שגה ההררי׃ | 34 |
[the] sons of Hashem the Gizonite Jonathan [the] son of Shageh the Hararite.
| אחיאם בן שכר ההררי אליפל בן אור׃ | 35 |
Ahiam [the] son of Sakar the Hararite Eliphal [the] son of Ur.
| חפר המכרתי אחיה הפלני׃ | 36 |
Hepher the Mekerathite Ahijah the Pelonite.
| חצרו הכרמלי נערי בן אזבי׃ | 37 |
Hezro the Carmelite Naarai [the] son of Ezbai.
| יואל אחי נתן מבחר בן הגרי׃ | 38 |
Joel [the] brother of Nathan Mibhar [the] son of Hagri.
| צלק העמוני נחרי הברתי נשא כלי יואב בן צרויה׃ | 39 |
Zelek the Ammonite Naharai the Beerothite [the] bearer of [the] weapons of Joab [the] son of Zeruiah.
| עירא היתרי גרב היתרי׃ | 40 |
Ira the Ithrite Gareb the Ithrite.
| אוריה החתי זבד בן אחלי׃ | 41 |
Uriah the Hittite Zabad [the] son of Ahlai.
| עדינא בן שיזא הראובני ראש לראובני ועליו שלושים׃ | 42 |
Adina [the] son of Shiza the Reubenite a chief of the Reubenite[s] and with him thirty [warriors].
| חנן בן מעכה ויושפט המתני׃ | 43 |
Hanan [the] son of Maacah and Joshaphat the Mithnite.
| עזיא העשתרתי שמע ויעואל בני חותם הערערי׃ | 44 |
Uzzia the Ashterathite Shama (and Jeiel *Q(K)*) [the] sons of Hotham the Aroerite.
| ידיעאל בן שמרי ויחא אחיו התיצי׃ | 45 |
Jediael [the] son of Shimri and Joha brother his the Tizite.
| אליאל המחוים ויריבי ויושויה בני אלנעם ויתמה המואבי׃ | 46 |
Eliel the Mahavite and Jeribai and Joshaviah [the] sons of Elnaam and Ithmah the Moabite.
| אליאל ועובד ויעשיאל המצביה׃ | 47 |
Eliel and Obed and Jaasiel the Mezobaite.
