בְּמִדְבַּר 13
| וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃ | 1 |
and to speak: speak LORD to(wards) Moses to/for to say
| שְׁלַח־לְךָ֣ אֲנָשִׁ֗ים וְיָתֻ֙רוּ֙ אֶת־אֶ֣רֶץ כְּנַ֔עַן אֲשֶׁר־אֲנִ֥י נֹתֵ֖ן לִבְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל אִ֣ישׁ אֶחָד֩ אִ֨ישׁ אֶחָ֜ד לְמַטֵּ֤ה אֲבֹתָיו֙ תִּשְׁלָ֔חוּ כֹּ֖ל נָשִׂ֥יא בָהֶֽם׃ | 2 |
to send: depart to/for you human and to spy [obj] land: country/planet Canaan which I to give: give to/for son: descendant/people Israel man one man one to/for tribe father his to send: depart all leader in/on/with them
| וַיִּשְׁלַ֨ח אֹתָ֥ם מֹשֶׁ֛ה מִמִּדְבַּ֥ר פָּארָ֖ן עַל־פִּ֣י יְהוָ֑ה כֻּלָּ֣ם אֲנָשִׁ֔ים רָאשֵׁ֥י בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל הֵֽמָּה׃ | 3 |
and to send: depart [obj] them Moses from wilderness Paran upon lip: word LORD all their human head: leader son: descendant/people Israel they(masc.)
| וְאֵ֖לֶּה שְׁמֹותָ֑ם לְמַטֵּ֣ה רְאוּבֵ֔ן שַׁמּ֖וּעַ בֶּן־זַכּֽוּר׃ | 4 |

| לְמַטֵּ֣ה שִׁמְעֹ֔ון שָׁפָ֖ט בֶּן־חֹורִֽי׃ | 5 |

| לְמַטֵּ֥ה אֶפְרָ֖יִם הֹושֵׁ֥עַ בִּן־נֽוּן׃ | 8 |

| אֵ֚לֶּה שְׁמֹ֣ות הָֽאֲנָשִׁ֔ים אֲשֶׁר־שָׁלַ֥ח מֹשֶׁ֖ה לָת֣וּר אֶת־הָאָ֑רֶץ וַיִּקְרָ֥א מֹשֶׁ֛ה לְהֹושֵׁ֥עַ בִּן־נ֖וּן יְהֹושֻֽׁעַ׃ | 16 |

| וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח אֹתָם֙ מֹשֶׁ֔ה לָת֖וּר אֶת־אֶ֣רֶץ כְּנָ֑עַן וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֲלֵהֶ֗ם עֲל֥וּ זֶה֙ בַּנֶּ֔גֶב וַעֲלִיתֶ֖ם אֶת־הָהָֽר׃ | 17 |
and to send: depart [obj] them Moses to/for to spy [obj] land: country/planet Canaan and to say to(wards) them to ascend: rise this in/on/with Negeb and to ascend: rise [obj] [the] mountain: hill country
| וּרְאִיתֶ֥ם אֶת־הָאָ֖רֶץ מַה־הִ֑וא וְאֶת־הָעָם֙ הַיֹּשֵׁ֣ב עָלֶ֔יהָ הֶחָזָ֥ק הוּא֙ הֲרָפֶ֔ה הַמְעַ֥ט ה֖וּא אִם־רָֽב׃ | 18 |
and to see: see [obj] [the] land: country/planet what? he/she/it and [obj] [the] people [the] to dwell upon her strong he/she/it weak little he/she/it if many
| וּמָ֣ה הָאָ֗רֶץ אֲשֶׁר־הוּא֙ יֹשֵׁ֣ב בָּ֔הּ הֲטֹובָ֥ה הִ֖וא אִם־רָעָ֑ה וּמָ֣ה הֶֽעָרִ֗ים אֲשֶׁר־הוּא֙ יֹושֵׁ֣ב בָּהֵ֔נָּה הַבְּמַֽחֲנִ֖ים אִ֥ם בְּמִבְצָרִֽים׃ | 19 |
and what? [the] land: country/planet which he/she/it to dwell in/on/with her pleasant he/she/it if bad: harmful and what? [the] city which he/she/it to dwell in/on/with them in/on/with camp if in/on/with fortification
| וּמָ֣ה הָ֠אָרֶץ הַשְּׁמֵנָ֨ה הִ֜וא אִם־רָזָ֗ה הֲיֵֽשׁ־בָּ֥הּ עֵץ֙ אִם־אַ֔יִן וְהִ֨תְחַזַּקְתֶּ֔ם וּלְקַחְתֶּ֖ם מִפְּרִ֣י הָאָ֑רֶץ וְהַ֨יָּמִ֔ים יְמֵ֖י בִּכּוּרֵ֥י עֲנָבִֽים׃ | 20 |
and what? [the] land: country/planet rich he/she/it if lean there in/on/with her tree if nothing and to strengthen: strengthen and to take: bring from fruit [the] land: country/planet and [the] day day firstfruit grape
| וַֽיַּעֲל֖וּ וַיָּתֻ֣רוּ אֶת־הָאָ֑רֶץ מִמִּדְבַּר־צִ֥ן עַד־רְחֹ֖ב לְבֹ֥א חֲמָֽת׃ | 21 |
and to ascend: rise and to spy [obj] [the] land: country/planet from wilderness Zin till Rehob Lebo-(Hamath) Hamath
| וַיַּעֲל֣וּ בַנֶּגֶב֮ וַיָּבֹ֣א עַד־חֶבְרֹון֒ וְשָׁ֤ם אֲחִימַן֙ שֵׁשַׁ֣י וְתַלְמַ֔י יְלִידֵ֖י הָעֲנָ֑ק וְחֶבְרֹ֗ון שֶׁ֤בַע שָׁנִים֙ נִבְנְתָ֔ה לִפְנֵ֖י צֹ֥עַן מִצְרָֽיִם׃ | 22 |

| וַיָּבֹ֜אוּ עַד־נַ֣חַל אֶשְׁכֹּ֗ל וַיִּכְרְת֨וּ מִשָּׁ֤ם זְמֹורָה֙ וְאֶשְׁכֹּ֤ול עֲנָבִים֙ אֶחָ֔ד וַיִּשָּׂאֻ֥הוּ בַמֹּ֖וט בִּשְׁנָ֑יִם וּמִן־הָרִמֹּנִ֖ים וּמִן־הַתְּאֵנִֽים׃ | 23 |
and to come (in): come till (Eshcol) Valley (Valley of) Eshcol and to cut: cut from there branch and cluster grape one and to lift: bear him in/on/with yoke in/on/with two and from [the] pomegranate and from [the] fig
| לַמָּקֹ֣ום הַה֔וּא קָרָ֖א נַ֣חַל אֶשְׁכֹּ֑ול עַ֚ל אֹדֹ֣ות הָֽאֶשְׁכֹּ֔ול אֲשֶׁר־כָּרְת֥וּ מִשָּׁ֖ם בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ | 24 |

| וַיָּשֻׁ֖בוּ מִתּ֣וּר הָאָ֑רֶץ מִקֵּ֖ץ אַרְבָּעִ֥ים יֹֽום׃ | 25 |

| וַיֵּלְכ֡וּ וַיָּבֹאוּ֩ אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֨ה וְאֶֽל־אַהֲרֹ֜ן וְאֶל־כָּל־עֲדַ֧ת בְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל אֶל־מִדְבַּ֥ר פָּארָ֖ן קָדֵ֑שָׁה וַיָּשִׁ֨יבוּ אֹותָ֤ם דָּבָר֙ וְאֶת־כָּל־הָ֣עֵדָ֔ה וַיַּרְא֖וּם אֶת־פְּרִ֥י הָאָֽרֶץ׃ | 26 |

| וַיְסַפְּרוּ־לֹו֙ וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ בָּ֕אנוּ אֶל־הָאָ֖רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֣ר שְׁלַחְתָּ֑נוּ וְ֠גַם זָבַ֨ת חָלָ֥ב וּדְבַ֛שׁ הִ֖וא וְזֶה־פִּרְיָֽהּ׃ | 27 |
and to recount to/for him and to say to come (in): come to(wards) [the] land: country/planet which to send: depart us and also to flow: flowing milk and honey he/she/it and this fruit her
| אֶ֚פֶס כִּֽי־עַ֣ז הָעָ֔ם הַיֹּשֵׁ֖ב בָּאָ֑רֶץ וְהֶֽעָרִ֗ים בְּצֻרֹ֤ות גְּדֹלֹת֙ מְאֹ֔ד וְגַם־יְלִדֵ֥י הֽ͏ָעֲנָ֖ק רָאִ֥ינוּ שָֽׁם׃ | 28 |
end for strong [the] people [the] to dwell in/on/with land: country/planet and [the] city to gather/restrain/fortify great: large much and also born [the] Anak to see: see there
| עֲמָלֵ֥ק יֹושֵׁ֖ב בְּאֶ֣רֶץ הַנֶּ֑גֶב וְ֠הַֽחִתִּי וְהַיְבוּסִ֤י וְהָֽאֱמֹרִי֙ יֹושֵׁ֣ב בָּהָ֔ר וְהַֽכְּנַעֲנִי֙ יֹשֵׁ֣ב עַל־הַיָּ֔ם וְעַ֖ל יַ֥ד הַיַּרְדֵּֽן׃ | 29 |
Amalek to dwell in/on/with land: country/planet [the] Negeb and [the] Hittite and [the] Jebusite and [the] Amorite to dwell in/on/with mountain: hill country and [the] Canaanite to dwell upon [the] sea and upon hand: bank [the] Jordan
| וַיַּ֧הַס כָּלֵ֛ב אֶת־הָעָ֖ם אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֑ה וַיֹּ֗אמֶר עָלֹ֤ה נַעֲלֶה֙ וְיָרַ֣שְׁנוּ אֹתָ֔הּ כִּֽי־יָכֹ֥ול נוּכַ֖ל לָֽהּ׃ | 30 |
and to silence Caleb [obj] [the] people to(wards) Moses and to say to ascend: rise to ascend: rise and to possess: take [obj] her for be able be able to/for her
| וְהָ֨אֲנָשִׁ֜ים אֲשֶׁר־עָל֤וּ עִמֹּו֙ אָֽמְר֔וּ לֹ֥א נוּכַ֖ל לַעֲלֹ֣ות אֶל־הָעָ֑ם כִּֽי־חָזָ֥ק ה֖וּא מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃ | 31 |
and [the] human which to ascend: rise with him to say not be able to/for to ascend: rise to(wards) [the] people for strong he/she/it from us
| וַיֹּוצִ֜יאוּ דִּבַּ֤ת הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר תָּר֣וּ אֹתָ֔הּ אֶל־בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לֵאמֹ֑ר הָאָ֡רֶץ אֲשֶׁר֩ עָבַ֨רְנוּ בָ֜הּ לָת֣וּר אֹתָ֗הּ אֶ֣רֶץ אֹכֶ֤לֶת יֹושְׁבֶ֙יהָ֙ הִ֔וא וְכָל־הָעָ֛ם אֲשֶׁר־רָאִ֥ינוּ בְתֹוכָ֖הּ אַנְשֵׁ֥י מִדֹּֽות׃ | 32 |

| וְשָׁ֣ם רָאִ֗ינוּ אֶת־הַנְּפִילִ֛ים בְּנֵ֥י עֲנָ֖ק מִן־הַנְּפִלִ֑ים וַנְּהִ֤י בְעֵינֵ֙ינוּ֙ כּֽ͏ַחֲגָבִ֔ים וְכֵ֥ן הָיִ֖ינוּ בְּעֵינֵיהֶֽם׃ | 33 |
