< אִיּוֹב 18 >
וַ֭יַּעַן בִּלְדַּ֥ד הַשֻּׁחִ֗י וַיֹּאמַֽר׃ | 1 |
and to answer Bildad [the] Shuhite and to say
עַד־אָ֤נָה ׀ תְּשִׂימ֣וּן קִנְצֵ֣י לְמִלִּ֑ין תָּ֝בִ֗ינוּ וְאַחַ֥ר נְדַבֵּֽר׃ | 2 |
till where? to set: make [emph?] snare to/for speech to understand and after to speak: speak
מַ֭דּוּעַ נֶחְשַׁ֣בְנוּ כַבְּהֵמָ֑ה נִ֝טְמִ֗ינוּ בְּעֵינֵיכֶֽם׃ | 3 |
why? to devise: think like/as animal to defile in/on/with eye: seeing your
טֹֽרֵ֥ף נַפְשֹׁ֗ו בְּאַ֫פֹּ֥ו הַ֭לְמַעַנְךָ תֵּעָ֣זַב אָ֑רֶץ וְיֶעְתַּק־צ֝֗וּר מִמְּקֹמֹֽו׃ | 4 |
to tear soul: myself his in/on/with face: anger his because you to leave: forsake land: country/planet and to proceed rock from place his
גַּ֤ם אֹ֣ור רְשָׁעִ֣ים יִדְעָ֑ךְ וְלֹֽא־יִ֝גַּ֗הּ שְׁבִ֣יב אִשֹּֽׁו׃ | 5 |
also light wicked to put out and not to shine flame fire his
אֹ֖ור חָשַׁ֣ךְ בְּאָהֳלֹ֑ו וְ֝נֵרֹ֗ו עָלָ֥יו יִדְעָֽךְ׃ | 6 |
light to darken in/on/with tent his and lamp his upon him to put out
יֵֽ֭צְרוּ צַעֲדֵ֣י אֹונֹ֑ו וְֽתַשְׁלִיכֵ֥הוּ עֲצָתֹֽו׃ | 7 |
be distressed step strength his and to throw him counsel his
כִּֽי־שֻׁלַּ֣ח בְּרֶ֣שֶׁת בְּרַגְלָ֑יו וְעַל־שְׂ֝בָכָ֗ה יִתְהַלָּֽךְ׃ | 8 |
for to send: depart in/on/with net in/on/with foot his and upon latticework to go: walk
יֹאחֵ֣ז בְּעָקֵ֣ב פָּ֑ח יַחֲזֵ֖ק עָלָ֣יו צַמִּֽים׃ | 9 |
to grasp in/on/with heel snare to strengthen: hold upon him snare
טָמ֣וּן בָּאָ֣רֶץ חַבְלֹ֑ו וּ֝מַלְכֻּדְתֹּ֗ו עֲלֵ֣י נָתִֽיב׃ | 10 |
to hide in/on/with land: soil cord his and snare his upon path
סָ֭בִיב בִּֽעֲתֻ֣הוּ בַלָּהֹ֑ות וֶהֱפִיצֻ֥הוּ לְרַגְלָֽיו׃ | 11 |
around: side to terrify him terror and to scatter him to/for foot his
יְהִי־רָעֵ֥ב אֹנֹ֑ו וְ֝אֵ֗יד נָכֹ֥ון לְצַלְעֹֽו׃ | 12 |
to be hungry strength his and calamity to establish: prepare to/for stumbling his
יֹ֭אכַל בַּדֵּ֣י עֹורֹ֑ו יֹאכַ֥ל בַּ֝דָּ֗יו בְּכֹ֣ור מָֽוֶת׃ | 13 |
to eat alone: pole skin his to eat alone: pole his firstborn death
יִנָּתֵ֣ק מֵ֭אָהֳלֹו מִבְטַחֹ֑ו וְ֝תַצְעִדֵ֗הוּ לְמֶ֣לֶךְ בַּלָּהֹֽות׃ | 14 |
to tear from tent his confidence his and to march him to/for king terror
תִּשְׁכֹּ֣ון בְּ֭אָהֳלֹו מִבְּלִי־לֹ֑ו יְזֹרֶ֖ה עַל־נָוֵ֣הוּ גָפְרִֽית׃ | 15 |
to dwell in/on/with tent his (from without *Lb) to/for him to scatter upon pasture his brimstone
מִ֭תַּחַת שָֽׁרָשָׁ֣יו יִבָ֑שׁוּ וּ֝מִמַּ֗עַל יִמַּ֥ל קְצִירֹֽו׃ | 16 |
from underneath: under root his to wither and from above to languish foliage his
זִֽכְרֹו־אָ֭בַד מִנִּי־אָ֑רֶץ וְלֹא־שֵׁ֥ם לֹ֝֗ו עַל־פְּנֵי־חֽוּץ׃ | 17 |
memorial his to perish from land: country/planet and not name to/for him upon face: surface outside
יֶ֭הְדְּפֻהוּ מֵאֹ֣ור אֶל־חֹ֑שֶׁךְ וּֽמִתֵּבֵ֥ל יְנִדֻּֽהוּ׃ | 18 |
to thrust him from light to(wards) darkness and from world to wander him
לֹ֘א נִ֤ין לֹ֣ו וְלֹא־נֶ֣כֶד בְּעַמֹּ֑ו וְאֵ֥ין שָׂ֝רִ֗יד בִּמְגוּרָֽיו׃ | 19 |
not offspring to/for him and not progeny in/on/with people his and nothing survivor in/on/with sojourning his
עַל־יֹ֖ומֹו נָשַׁ֣מּוּ אַחֲרֹנִ֑ים וְ֝קַדְמֹנִ֗ים אָ֣חֲזוּ שָֽׂעַר׃ | 20 |
upon day: today his be desolate: appalled last and eastern to grasp shuddering
אַךְ־אֵ֭לֶּה מִשְׁכְּנֹ֣ות עַוָּ֑ל וְ֝זֶ֗ה מְקֹ֣ום לֹא־יָדַֽע־אֵֽל׃ ס | 21 |
surely these tabernacle unjust and this place not to know God
