| וַיְהִ֖י בִּימֵ֣י אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹ֑ושׁ ה֣וּא אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹ֗ושׁ הַמֹּלֵךְ֙ מֵהֹ֣דּוּ וְעַד־כּ֔וּשׁ שֶׁ֛בַע וְעֶשְׂרִ֥ים וּמֵאָ֖ה מְדִינָֽה׃ | 1 |
and to be in/on/with day Ahasuerus he/she/it Ahasuerus [the] to reign from India and till Ethiopia seven and twenty and hundred province
| בַּיָּמִ֖ים הָהֵ֑ם כְּשֶׁ֣בֶת ׀ הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹ֗ושׁ עַ֚ל כִּסֵּ֣א מַלְכוּתֹ֔ו אֲשֶׁ֖ר בְּשׁוּשַׁ֥ן הַבִּירָֽה׃ | 2 |

| בִּשְׁנַ֤ת שָׁלֹושׁ֙ לְמָלְכֹ֔ו עָשָׂ֣ה מִשְׁתֶּ֔ה לְכָל־שָׂרָ֖יו וַעֲבָדָ֑יו חֵ֣יל ׀ פָּרַ֣ס וּמָדַ֗י הַֽפַּרְתְּמִ֛ים וְשָׂרֵ֥י הַמְּדִינֹ֖ות לְפָנָֽיו׃ | 3 |

| בְּהַרְאֹתֹ֗ו אֶת־עֹ֙שֶׁר֙ כְּבֹ֣וד מַלְכוּתֹ֔ו וְאֶ֨ת־יְקָ֔ר תִּפְאֶ֖רֶת גְּדוּלָּתֹ֑ו יָמִ֣ים רַבִּ֔ים שְׁמֹונִ֥ים וּמְאַ֖ת יֹֽום׃ | 4 |

| וּבִמְלֹ֣ואת ׀ הַיָּמִ֣ים הָאֵ֗לֶּה עָשָׂ֣ה הַמֶּ֡לֶךְ לְכָל־הָעָ֣ם הַנִּמְצְאִים֩ בְּשׁוּשַׁ֨ן הַבִּירָ֜ה לְמִגָּ֧דֹול וְעַד־קָטָ֛ן מִשְׁתֶּ֖ה שִׁבְעַ֣ת יָמִ֑ים בַּחֲצַ֕ר גִּנַּ֥ת בִּיתַ֖ן הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ | 5 |

| ח֣וּר ׀ כַּרְפַּ֣ס וּתְכֵ֗לֶת אָחוּז֙ בְּחַבְלֵי־ב֣וּץ וְאַרְגָּמָ֔ן עַל־גְּלִ֥ילֵי כֶ֖סֶף וְעַמּ֣וּדֵי שֵׁ֑שׁ מִטֹּ֣ות ׀ זָהָ֣ב וָכֶ֗סֶף עַ֛ל רִֽצְפַ֥ת בַּהַט־וָשֵׁ֖שׁ וְדַ֥ר וְסֹחָֽרֶת׃ | 6 |

| וְהַשְׁקֹות֙ בִּכְלֵ֣י זָהָ֔ב וְכֵלִ֖ים מִכֵּלִ֣ים שֹׁונִ֑ים וְיֵ֥ין מַלְכ֛וּת רָ֖ב כְּיַ֥ד הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ | 7 |
and to water: drink in/on/with article/utensil gold and article/utensil from article/utensil to change and wine royalty many like/as hand: to [the] king
| וְהַשְּׁתִיָּ֥ה כַדָּ֖ת אֵ֣ין אֹנֵ֑ס כִּי־כֵ֣ן ׀ יִסַּ֣ד הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ עַ֚ל כָּל־רַ֣ב בֵּיתֹ֔ו לַעֲשֹׂ֖ות כִּרְצֹ֥ון אִישׁ־וָאִֽישׁ׃ | 8 |
and [the] drinking like/as law nothing to compel for so to found [the] king upon all chief house: home his to/for to make: do like/as acceptance man and man
| גַּ֚ם וַשְׁתִּ֣י הַמַּלְכָּ֔ה עָשְׂתָ֖ה מִשְׁתֵּ֣ה נָשִׁ֑ים בֵּ֚ית הַמַּלְכ֔וּת אֲשֶׁ֖ר לַמֶּ֥לֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹֽושׁ׃ ס | 9 |
also Vashti [the] queen to make: offer feast woman house: home [the] royalty which to/for king Ahasuerus
| בַּיֹּום֙ הַשְּׁבִיעִ֔י כְּטֹ֥וב לֵב־הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ בַּיָּ֑יִן אָמַ֡ר לִ֠מְהוּמָן בִּזְּתָ֨א חַרְבֹונָ֜א בִּגְתָ֤א וַאֲבַגְתָא֙ זֵתַ֣ר וְכַרְכַּ֔ס שִׁבְעַת֙ הַסָּ֣רִיסִ֔ים הַמְשָׁ֣רְתִ֔ים אֶת־פְּנֵ֖י הַמֶּ֥לֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹֽושׁ׃ | 10 |
in/on/with day [the] seventh like/as be pleasing heart [the] king in/on/with wine to say to/for Mehuman Biztha Harbona Bigtha and Abagtha Zethar and Carkas seven [the] eunuch [the] to minister with face: before [the] king Ahasuerus
| לְ֠הָבִיא אֶת־וַשְׁתִּ֧י הַמַּלְכָּ֛ה לִפְנֵ֥י הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ בְּכֶ֣תֶר מַלְכ֑וּת לְהַרְאֹ֨ות הָֽעַמִּ֤ים וְהַשָּׂרִים֙ אֶת־יָפְיָ֔הּ כִּֽי־טֹובַ֥ת מַרְאֶ֖ה הִֽיא׃ | 11 |
to/for to come (in): bring [obj] Vashti [the] queen to/for face: before [the] king in/on/with crown royalty to/for to see: see [the] people and [the] ruler [obj] beauty her for pleasant appearance he/she/it
| וַתְּמָאֵ֞ן הַמַּלְכָּ֣ה וַשְׁתִּ֗י לָבֹוא֙ בִּדְבַ֣ר הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ אֲשֶׁ֖ר בְּיַ֣ד הַסָּרִיסִ֑ים וַיִּקְצֹ֤ף הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ מְאֹ֔ד וַחֲמָתֹ֖ו בָּעֲרָ֥ה בֹֽו׃ | 12 |
and to refuse [the] queen Vashti to/for to come (in): come in/on/with word [the] king which in/on/with hand: to [the] eunuch and be angry [the] king much and rage his to burn: burn in/on/with him
| וַיֹּ֣אמֶר הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ לַחֲכָמִ֖ים יֹדְעֵ֣י הֽ͏ָעִתִּ֑ים כִּי־כֵן֙ דְּבַ֣ר הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ לִפְנֵ֕י כָּל־יֹדְעֵ֖י דָּ֥ת וָדִֽין׃ | 13 |
and to say [the] king to/for wise to know [the] time for so Chronicles [the] king to/for face: before all to know law and judgment
| וְהַקָּרֹ֣ב אֵלָ֗יו כַּרְשְׁנָ֤א שֵׁתָר֙ אַדְמָ֣תָא תַרְשִׁ֔ישׁ מֶ֥רֶס מַרְסְנָ֖א מְמוּכָ֑ן שִׁבְעַ֞ת שָׂרֵ֣י ׀ פָּרַ֣ס וּמָדַ֗י רֹאֵי֙ פְּנֵ֣י הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ הַיֹּשְׁבִ֥ים רִאשֹׁנָ֖ה בַּמַּלְכֽוּת׃ | 14 |

| כְּדָת֙ מַֽה־לַּעֲשֹׂ֔ות בַּמַּלְכָּ֖ה וַשְׁתִּ֑י עַ֣ל ׀ אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹֽא־עָשְׂתָ֗ה אֶֽת־מַאֲמַר֙ הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹ֔ושׁ בְּיַ֖ד הַסָּרִיסִֽים׃ ס | 15 |

| וַיֹּ֣אמֶר מוּמְכָן (מְמוּכָ֗ן) לִפְנֵ֤י הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ וְהַשָּׂרִ֔ים לֹ֤א עַל־הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ לְבַדֹּ֔ו עָוְתָ֖ה וַשְׁתִּ֣י הַמַּלְכָּ֑ה כִּ֤י עַל־כָּל־הַשָּׂרִים֙ וְעַל־כָּל־הָ֣עַמִּ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֕ר בְּכָל־מְדִינֹ֖ות הַמֶּ֥לֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹֽושׁ׃ | 16 |
and to say (Memucan *Qk) to/for face: before [the] king and [the] ruler not upon [the] king to/for alone him to pervert Vashti [the] queen for upon all [the] ruler and upon all [the] people which in/on/with all province [the] king Ahasuerus
| כִּֽי־יֵצֵ֤א דְבַר־הַמַּלְכָּה֙ עַל־כָּל־הַנָּשִׁ֔ים לְהַבְזֹ֥ות בַּעְלֵיהֶ֖ן בְּעֵינֵיהֶ֑ן בְּאָמְרָ֗ם הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹ֡ושׁ אָמַ֞ר לְהָבִ֨יא אֶת־וַשְׁתִּ֧י הַמַּלְכָּ֛ה לְפָנָ֖יו וְלֹא־בָֽאָה׃ | 17 |

| וְֽהַיֹּ֨ום הַזֶּ֜ה תֹּאמַ֣רְנָה ׀ שָׂרֹ֣ות פָּֽרַס־וּמָדַ֗י אֲשֶׁ֤ר שָֽׁמְעוּ֙ אֶת־דְּבַ֣ר הַמַּלְכָּ֔ה לְכֹ֖ל שָׂרֵ֣י הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ וּכְדַ֖י בִּזָּיֹ֥ון וָקָֽצֶף׃ | 18 |

| אִם־עַל־הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ טֹ֗וב יֵצֵ֤א דְבַר־מַלְכוּת֙ מִלְּפָנָ֔יו וְיִכָּתֵ֛ב בְּדָתֵ֥י פָֽרַס־וּמָדַ֖י וְלֹ֣א יַעֲבֹ֑ור אֲשֶׁ֨ר לֹֽא־תָבֹ֜וא וַשְׁתִּ֗י לִפְנֵי֙ הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹ֔ושׁ וּמַלְכוּתָהּ֙ יִתֵּ֣ן הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ לִרְעוּתָ֖הּ הַטֹּובָ֥ה מִמֶּֽנָּה׃ | 19 |

| וְנִשְׁמַע֩ פִּתְגָ֨ם הַמֶּ֤לֶךְ אֲשֶֽׁר־יַעֲשֶׂה֙ בְּכָל־מַלְכוּתֹ֔ו כִּ֥י רַבָּ֖ה הִ֑יא וְכָל־הַנָּשִׁ֗ים יִתְּנ֤וּ יְקָר֙ לְבַעְלֵיהֶ֔ן לְמִגָּדֹ֖ול וְעַד־קָטָֽן׃ | 20 |

| וַיִּיטַב֙ הַדָּבָ֔ר בְּעֵינֵ֥י הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ וְהַשָּׂרִ֑ים וַיַּ֥עַשׂ הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ כִּדְבַ֥ר מְמוּכָֽן׃ | 21 |
and be good [the] word in/on/with eye: appearance [the] king and [the] ruler and to make: do [the] king like/as word Memucan
| וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח סְפָרִים֙ אֶל־כָּל־מְדִינֹ֣ות הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ אֶל־מְדִינָ֤ה וּמְדִינָה֙ כִּכְתָבָ֔הּ וְאֶל־עַ֥ם וָעָ֖ם כִּלְשֹׁונֹ֑ו לִהְיֹ֤ות כָּל־אִישׁ֙ שֹׂרֵ֣ר בְּבֵיתֹ֔ו וּמְדַבֵּ֖ר כִּלְשֹׁ֥ון עַמֹּֽו׃ פ | 22 |
and to send: depart scroll: document to(wards) all province [the] king to(wards) province and province like/as writing her and to(wards) people and people like/as tongue: language his to/for to be all man to rule in/on/with house: household his and to speak: speak like/as tongue: language people his
