| בִּשְׁנַ֨ת עֶשְׂרִ֤ים וָשֶׁ֙בַע֙ שָׁנָ֔ה לְיָרָבְעָ֖ם מֶ֣לֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל מָלַ֛ךְ עֲזַרְיָ֥ה בֶן־אֲמַצְיָ֖ה מֶ֥לֶךְ יְהוּדָֽה׃ | 1 |
In year twenty and seven year of Jeroboam [the] king of Israel he became king Azariah [the] son of Amaziah [the] king of Judah.
| בֶּן־שֵׁ֨שׁ עֶשְׂרֵ֤ה שָׁנָה֙ הָיָ֣ה בְמָלְכֹ֔ו וַחֲמִשִּׁ֤ים וּשְׁתַּ֙יִם֙ שָׁנָ֔ה מָלַ֖ךְ בִּירוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם וְשֵׁ֣ם אִמֹּ֔ו יְכָלְיָ֖הוּ מִירוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃ | 2 |
A son of six-teen year[s] he was when became king he and fifty and two year[s] he reigned in Jerusalem and [the] name of mother his [was] Jecholiah from Jerusalem.
| וַיַּ֥עַשׂ הַיָּשָׁ֖ר בְּעֵינֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה כְּכֹ֥ל אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂ֖ה אֲמַצְיָ֥הוּ אָבִֽיו׃ | 3 |
And he did the right in [the] eyes of Yahweh according to all that he had done Amaziah father his.
| רַ֥ק הַבָּמֹ֖ות לֹא־סָ֑רוּ עֹ֥וד הָעָ֛ם מְזַבְּחִ֥ים וּֽמְקַטְּרִ֖ים בַּבָּמֹֽות׃ | 4 |
Only the high places not they were removed still the people [were] sacrificing and [were] making smoke at the high places.
| וַיְנַגַּ֨ע יְהוָ֜ה אֶת־הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ וַיְהִ֤י מְצֹרָע֙ עַד־יֹ֣ום מֹתֹ֔ו וַיֵּ֖שֶׁב בְּבֵ֣ית הַחָפְשִׁ֑ית וְיֹותָ֤ם בֶּן־הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ עַל־הַבַּ֔יִת שֹׁפֵ֖ט אֶת־עַ֥ם הָאָֽרֶץ׃ | 5 |
And he struck Yahweh the king and he was having a skin disease until [the] day of death his and he dwelt in [the] house of separateness and Jotham [the] son of the king [was] over the house judging [the] people of the land.
| וְיֶ֛תֶר דִּבְרֵ֥י עֲזַרְיָ֖הוּ וְכָל־אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֑ה הֲלֹא־הֵ֣ם כְּתוּבִ֗ים עַל־סֵ֛פֶר דִּבְרֵ֥י הַיָּמִ֖ים לְמַלְכֵ֥י יְהוּדָֽה׃ | 6 |
And [the] rest of [the] matters of Azariah and all that he did ¿ not [are] they written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of the days of [the] kings of Judah.
| וַיִּשְׁכַּ֤ב עֲזַרְיָה֙ עִם־אֲבֹתָ֔יו וַיִּקְבְּר֥וּ אֹתֹ֛ו עִם־אֲבֹתָ֖יו בְּעִ֣יר דָּוִ֑ד וַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְ יֹותָ֥ם בְּנֹ֖ו תַּחְתָּֽיו׃ פ | 7 |
And he lay down Azariah with ancestors his and people buried him with ancestors his in [the] city of David and he became king Jotham son his in place of him.
| בִּשְׁנַ֨ת שְׁלֹשִׁ֤ים וּשְׁמֹנֶה֙ שָׁנָ֔ה לַעֲזַרְיָ֖הוּ מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֑ה מָ֠לַךְ זְכַרְיָ֨הוּ בֶן־יָרָבְעָ֧ם עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל בְּשֹׁמְרֹ֖ון שִׁשָּׁ֥ה חֳדָשִֽׁים׃ | 8 |
In year thirty and eight year of Azariah [the] king of Judah he became king Zechariah [the] son of Jeroboam over Israel in Samaria six months.
| וַיַּ֤עַשׂ הָרַע֙ בְּעֵינֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשׂ֖וּ אֲבֹתָ֑יו לֹ֣א סָ֗ר מֵֽחַטֹּאות֙ יָרָבְעָ֣ם בֶּן־נְבָ֔ט אֲשֶׁ֥ר הֶחֱטִ֖יא אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ | 9 |
And he did the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh just as they had done ancestors his not he turned aside from [the] sins of Jeroboam [the] son of Nebat which he caused to sin Israel.
| וַיִּקְשֹׁ֤ר עָלָיו֙ שַׁלֻּ֣ם בֶּן־יָבֵ֔שׁ וַיַּכֵּ֥הוּ קָֽבָלְעָ֖ם וַיְמִיתֵ֑הוּ וַיִּמְלֹ֖ךְ תַּחְתָּֽיו׃ | 10 |
And he conspired on him Shallum [the] son of Jabesh and he struck down him before [the] people and he killed him and he became king in place of him.
| וְיֶ֖תֶר דִּבְרֵ֣י זְכַרְיָ֑ה הִנָּ֣ם כְּתוּבִ֗ים עַל־סֵ֛פֶר דִּבְרֵ֥י הַיָּמִ֖ים לְמַלְכֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ | 11 |
And [the] rest of [the] matters of Zechariah there they [are] written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of the days of [the] kings of Israel.
| ה֣וּא דְבַר־יְהוָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר דִּבֶּ֤ר אֶל־יֵהוּא֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר בְּנֵ֣י רְבִיעִ֔ים יֵשְׁב֥וּ לְךָ֖ עַל־כִּסֵּ֣א יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וֽ͏ַיְהִי־כֵֽן׃ פ | 12 |
It [was] [the] word of Yahweh which he had spoken to Jehu saying descendants of a fourth [generation] they will sit of you on [the] throne of Israel and it was thus.
| שַׁלּ֤וּם בֶּן־יָבֵישׁ֙ מָלַ֔ךְ בִּשְׁנַ֨ת שְׁלֹשִׁ֤ים וָתֵ֙שַׁע֙ שָׁנָ֔ה לְעֻזִיָּ֖ה מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֑ה וַיִּמְלֹ֥ךְ יֶֽרַח־יָמִ֖ים בְּשֹׁמְרֹֽון׃ | 13 |
Shallum [the] son of Jabesh he became king in year thirty and nine year of Uzziah [the] king of Judah and he reigned a month of days in Samaria.
| וַיַּעַל֩ מְנַחֵ֨ם בֶּן־גָּדִ֜י מִתִּרְצָ֗ה וַיָּבֹא֙ שֹׁמְרֹ֔ון וַיַּ֛ךְ אֶת־שַׁלּ֥וּם בֶּן־יָבֵ֖ישׁ בְּשֹׁמְרֹ֑ון וַיְמִיתֵ֖הוּ וַיִּמְלֹ֥ךְ תַּחְתָּֽיו׃ | 14 |
And he went up Menahem [the] son of Gadi from Tirzah and he came Samaria and he struck down Shallum [the] son of Jabesh in Samaria and he killed him and he became king in place of him.
| וְיֶ֙תֶר֙ דִּבְרֵ֣י שַׁלּ֔וּם וְקִשְׁרֹ֖ו אֲשֶׁ֣ר קָשָׁ֑ר הִנָּ֣ם כְּתֻבִ֗ים עַל־סֵ֛פֶר דִּבְרֵ֥י הַיָּמִ֖ים לְמַלְכֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ ס | 15 |
And [the] rest of [the] matters of Shallum and conspiracy his which he conspired there they [are] written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of the days of [the] kings of Israel.
| אָ֣ז יַכֶּֽה־מְ֠נַחֵם אֶת־תִּפְסַ֨ח וְאֶת־כָּל־אֲשֶׁר־בָּ֤הּ וְאֶת־גְּבוּלֶ֙יהָ֙ מִתִּרְצָ֔ה כִּ֛י לֹ֥א פָתַ֖ח וַיַּ֑ךְ אֵ֛ת כָּל־הֶהָ֥רֹותֶ֖יהָ בִּקֵּֽעַ׃ פ | 16 |
Then he struck Menahem Tiphsah and all [those] who [were] in it and territories its from Tirzah for not it opened and he struck [it] all pregnant [women] its he ripped open.
| בִּשְׁנַ֨ת שְׁלֹשִׁ֤ים וָתֵ֙שַׁע֙ שָׁנָ֔ה לַעֲזַרְיָ֖ה מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֑ה מָ֠לַךְ מְנַחֵ֨ם בֶּן־גָּדִ֧י עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל עֶ֥שֶׂר שָׁנִ֖ים בְּשֹׁמְרֹֽון׃ | 17 |
In year thirty and nine year of Azariah [the] king of Judah he became king Menahem [the] son of Gadi over Israel ten years in Samaria.
| וַיַּ֥עַשׂ הָרַ֖ע בְּעֵינֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה לֹ֣א סָ֠ר מֵעַ֨ל חַטֹּ֜אות יָרָבְעָ֧ם בֶּן־נְבָ֛ט אֲשֶׁר־הֶחֱטִ֥יא אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל כָּל־יָמָֽיו׃ | 18 |
And he did the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh not he turned aside from on [the] sins of Jeroboam [the] son of Nebat which he caused to sin Israel all days his.
| בָּ֣א פ֤וּל מֶֽלֶךְ־אַשּׁוּר֙ עַל־הָאָ֔רֶץ וַיִּתֵּ֤ן מְנַחֵם֙ לְפ֔וּל אֶ֖לֶף כִּכַּר־כָּ֑סֶף לִהְיֹ֤ות יָדָיו֙ אִתֹּ֔ו לְהַחֲזִ֥יק הַמַּמְלָכָ֖ה בְּיָדֹֽו׃ | 19 |
He came Pul [the] king of Assyria on the land and he gave Menahem to Pul a thousand talent[s] of silver to be hands his with him to strengthen the kingdom in hand his.
| וַיֹּצֵא֩ מְנַחֵ֨ם אֶת־הַכֶּ֜סֶף עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל עַ֚ל כָּל־גִּבֹּורֵ֣י הַחַ֔יִל לָתֵת֙ לְמֶ֣לֶךְ אַשּׁ֔וּר חֲמִשִּׁ֧ים שְׁקָלִ֛ים כֶּ֖סֶף לְאִ֣ישׁ אֶחָ֑ד וַיָּ֙שָׁב֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ אַשּׁ֔וּר וְלֹא־עָ֥מַד שָׁ֖ם בָּאָֽרֶץ׃ | 20 |
And he brought out Menahem the silver on Israel on all [the] mighty [men] of wealth to give [it] to [the] king of Assyria fifty shekels silver to a man one and he returned [the] king of Assyria and not he remained there in the land.
| וְיֶ֛תֶר דִּבְרֵ֥י מְנַחֵ֖ם וְכָל־אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֑ה הֲלֹוא־הֵ֣ם כְּתוּבִ֗ים עַל־סֵ֛פֶר דִּבְרֵ֥י הַיָּמִ֖ים לְמַלְכֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ | 21 |
And [the] rest of [the] matters of Menahem and all that he did ¿ not [are] they written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of the days of [the] kings of Israel.
| וַיִּשְׁכַּ֥ב מְנַחֵ֖ם עִם־אֲבֹתָ֑יו וַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְ פְּקַחְיָ֥ה בְנֹ֖ו תַּחְתָּֽיו׃ פ | 22 |
And he lay down Menahem with ancestors his and he became king Pekahiah son his in place of him.
| בִּשְׁנַת֙ חֲמִשִּׁ֣ים שָׁנָ֔ה לַעֲזַרְיָ֖ה מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֑ה מָ֠לַךְ פְּקַֽחְיָ֨ה בֶן־מְנַחֵ֧ם עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל בְּשֹׁמְרֹ֖ון שְׁנָתָֽיִם׃ | 23 |
In year fifty year of Azariah [the] king of Judah he became king Pekahiah [the] son of Menahem over Israel in Samaria two years.
| וַיַּ֥עַשׂ הָרַ֖ע בְּעֵינֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה לֹ֣א סָ֗ר מֵֽחַטֹּאות֙ יָרָבְעָ֣ם בֶּן־נְבָ֔ט אֲשֶׁ֥ר הֶחֱטִ֖יא אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ | 24 |
And he did the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh not he turned aside from [the] sins of Jeroboam [the] son of Nebat which he caused to sin Israel.
| וַיִּקְשֹׁ֣ר עָלָיו֩ פֶּ֨קַח בֶּן־רְמַלְיָ֜הוּ שָׁלִישֹׁ֗ו וַיַּכֵּ֨הוּ בְשֹׁמְרֹ֜ון בְּאַרְמֹ֤ון בֵּית־מֶלֶךְ (הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙) אֶת־אַרְגֹּ֣ב וְאֶת־הָאַרְיֵ֔ה וְעִמֹּ֛ו חֲמִשִּׁ֥ים אִ֖ישׁ מִבְּנֵ֣י גִלְעָדִ֑ים וַיְמִיתֵ֖הוּ וַיִּמְלֹ֥ךְ תַּחְתָּֽיו׃ | 25 |
And he conspired on him Pekah [the] son of Remaliah officer his and he struck down him in Samaria in [the] fortress of [the] house of (the king *QK) with Argob and with Arieh and [were] with him fifty man from [the] sons of [the] Gileadites and he killed him and he became king in place of him.
| וְיֶ֛תֶר דִּבְרֵ֥י פְקַחְיָ֖ה וְכָל־אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֑ה הִנָּ֣ם כְּתוּבִ֗ים עַל־סֵ֛פֶר דִּבְרֵ֥י הַיָּמִ֖ים לְמַלְכֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ פ | 26 |
And [the] rest of [the] matters of Pekahiah and all that he did there they [are] written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of the days of [the] kings of Israel.
| בִּשְׁנַ֨ת חֲמִשִּׁ֤ים וּשְׁתַּ֙יִם֙ שָׁנָ֔ה לַעֲזַרְיָ֖ה מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֑ה מָ֠לַךְ פֶּ֣קַח בֶּן־רְמַלְיָ֧הוּ עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל בְּשֹׁמְרֹ֖ון עֶשְׂרִ֥ים שָׁנָֽה׃ | 27 |
In year fifty and two year of Azariah [the] king of Judah he became king Pekah [the] son of Remaliah over Israel in Samaria twenty year[s].
| וַיַּ֥עַשׂ הָרַ֖ע בְּעֵינֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה לֹ֣א סָ֗ר מִן־חַטֹּאות֙ יָרָבְעָ֣ם בֶּן־נְבָ֔ט אֲשֶׁ֥ר הֶחֱטִ֖יא אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ | 28 |
And he did the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh not he turned aside from [the] sins of Jeroboam [the] son of Nebat which he caused to sin Israel.
| בִּימֵ֞י פֶּ֣קַח מֶֽלֶךְ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל בָּא֮ תִּגְלַ֣ת פִּלְאֶסֶר֮ מֶ֣לֶךְ אַשּׁוּר֒ וַיִּקַּ֣ח אֶת־עִיֹּ֡ון וְאֶת־אָבֵ֣ל בֵּֽית־מַעֲכָ֡ה וְאֶת־יָ֠נֹוחַ וְאֶת־קֶ֨דֶשׁ וְאֶת־חָצֹ֤ור וְאֶת־הַגִּלְעָד֙ וְאֶת־הַגָּלִ֔ילָה כֹּ֖ל אֶ֣רֶץ נַפְתָּלִ֑י וַיַּגְלֵ֖ם אַשּֽׁוּרָה׃ | 29 |
In [the] days of Pekah [the] king of Israel he came Tiglath-pileser [the] king of Assyria and he took Ijon and Abel Beth Maacah and Janoah and Kedesh and Hazor and Gilead and Galilee towards all [the] land of Naphtali and he took into exile them Assyria towards.
| וַיִּקְשָׁר־קֶ֜שֶׁר הֹושֵׁ֣עַ בֶּן־אֵלָ֗ה עַל־פֶּ֙קַח֙ בֶּן־רְמַלְיָ֔הוּ וַיַּכֵּ֙הוּ֙ וַיְמִיתֵ֔הוּ וַיִּמְלֹ֖ךְ תַּחְתָּ֑יו בִּשְׁנַ֣ת עֶשְׂרִ֔ים לְיֹותָ֖ם בֶּן־עֻזִיָּֽה׃ | 30 |
And he conspired a conspiracy Hoshea [the] son of Elah on Pekah [the] son of Remaliah and he struck down him and he killed him and he became king in place of him in year twenty of Jotham [the] son of Uzziah.
| וְיֶ֥תֶר דִּבְרֵי־פֶ֖קַח וְכָל־אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֑ה הִנָּ֣ם כְּתוּבִ֗ים עַל־סֵ֛פֶר דִּבְרֵ֥י הַיָּמִ֖ים לְמַלְכֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ פ | 31 |
And [the] rest of [the] matters of Pekah and all that he did there they [are] written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of the days of [the] kings of Israel.
| בִּשְׁנַ֣ת שְׁתַּ֔יִם לְפֶ֥קַח בֶּן־רְמַלְיָ֖הוּ מֶ֣לֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל מָלַ֛ךְ יֹותָ֥ם בֶּן־עֻזִיָּ֖הוּ מֶ֥לֶךְ יְהוּדָֽה׃ | 32 |
In year two of Pekah [the] son of Remaliah [the] king of Israel he became king Jotham [the] son of Uzziah [the] king of Judah.
| בֶּן־עֶשְׂרִ֨ים וְחָמֵ֤שׁ שָׁנָה֙ הָיָ֣ה בְמָלְכֹ֔ו וְשֵׁשׁ־עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה שָׁנָ֔ה מָלַ֖ךְ בִּירוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם וְשֵׁ֣ם אִמֹּ֔ו יְרוּשָׁ֖א בַּת־צָדֹֽוק׃ | 33 |
A son of twenty and five year[s] he was when became king he and six-teen year[s] he reigned in Jerusalem and [the] name of mother his [was] Jerusha [the] daughter of Zadok.
| וַיַּ֥עַשׂ הַיָּשָׁ֖ר בְּעֵינֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה כְּכֹ֧ל אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂ֛ה עֻזִיָּ֥הוּ אָבִ֖יו עָשָֽׂה׃ | 34 |
And he did the right in [the] eyes of Yahweh according to all that he had done Uzziah father his he did.
| רַ֤ק הַבָּמֹות֙ לֹ֣א סָ֔רוּ עֹ֗וד הָעָ֛ם מְזַבְּחִ֥ים וּֽמְקַטְּרִ֖ים בַּבָּמֹ֑ות ה֗וּא בָּנָ֛ה אֶת־שַׁ֥עַר בֵּית־יְהוָ֖ה הָעֶלְיֹֽון׃ | 35 |

| וְיֶ֛תֶר דִּבְרֵ֥י יֹותָ֖ם אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֑ה הֲלֹא־הֵ֣ם כְּתוּבִ֗ים עַל־סֵ֛פֶר דִּבְרֵ֥י הַיָּמִ֖ים לְמַלְכֵ֥י יְהוּדָֽה׃ | 36 |
And [the] rest of [the] matters of Jotham which he did ¿ not [are] they written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of the days of [the] kings of Judah.
| בַּיָּמִ֣ים הָהֵ֔ם הֵחֵ֣ל יְהוָ֗ה לְהַשְׁלִ֙יחַ֙ בִּֽיהוּדָ֔ה רְצִ֖ין מֶ֣לֶךְ אֲרָ֑ם וְאֵ֖ת פֶּ֥קַח בֶּן־רְמַלְיָֽהוּ׃ | 37 |
In the days those he began Yahweh to send in Judah Rezin [the] king of Aram and Pekah [the] son of Remaliah.
| וַיִּשְׁכַּ֤ב יֹותָם֙ עִם־אֲבֹתָ֔יו וַיִּקָּבֵר֙ עִם־אֲבֹתָ֔יו בְּעִ֖יר דָּוִ֣ד אָבִ֑יו וַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְ אָחָ֥ז בְּנֹ֖ו תַּחְתָּֽיו׃ פ | 38 |
And he lay down Jotham with ancestors his and he was buried with ancestors his in [the] city of David ancestor his and he became king Ahaz son his in place of him.
