2 דִּבְרֵי הַיָּמִים 27

1 בֶּן־עֶשְׂרִ֨ים וְחָמֵ֤שׁ שָׁנָה֙ יֹותָ֣ם בְּמָלְכֹ֔ו וְשֵׁשׁ־עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה שָׁנָ֔ה מָלַ֖ךְ בִּֽירוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם וְשֵׁ֣ם אִמֹּ֔ו יְרוּשָׁ֖ה בַּת־צָדֹֽוק׃

[was] a son of Twenty and five year[s] Jotham when became king he and six-teen year[s] he reigned in Jerusalem and [the] name of mother his [was] Jerusha [the] daughter of Zadok.

2 וַיַּ֨עַשׂ הַיָּשָׁ֜ר בְּעֵינֵ֣י יְהוָ֗ה כְּכֹ֤ל אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂה֙ עֻזִּיָּ֣הוּ אָבִ֔יו רַ֕ק לֹא־בָ֖א אֶל־הֵיכַ֣ל יְהוָ֑ה וְעֹ֥וד הָעָ֖ם מַשְׁחִיתִֽים׃

And he did the right in [the] eyes of Yahweh according to all that he had done Uzziah father his only not he went into [the] temple of Yahweh and yet the people [were] behaving corruptly.

3 ה֗וּא בָּנָ֛ה אֶת־שַׁ֥עַר בֵּית־יְהוָ֖ה הָעֶלְיֹ֑ון וּבְחֹומַ֥ת הָעֹ֛פֶל בָּנָ֖ה לָרֹֽב׃

He he built [the] gate of [the] house of Yahweh upper and on [the] wall of Ophel he built to abundance.

4 וְעָרִ֥ים בָּנָ֖ה בְּהַר־יְהוּדָ֑ה וּבֶחֳרָשִׁ֣ים בָּנָ֔ה בִּֽירָנִיֹּ֖ות וּמִגְדָּלִֽים׃

And cities he built in [the] hill country of Judah and in the wooded areas he built fortresses and towers.

5 וְ֠הוּא נִלְחַ֞ם עִם־מֶ֣לֶךְ בְּנֵי־עַמֹּון֮ וַיֶּחֱזַ֣ק עֲלֵיהֶם֒ וַיִּתְּנוּ־לֹ֨ו בְנֵֽי־עַמֹּ֜ון בַּשָּׁנָ֣ה הַהִ֗יא מֵאָה֙ כִּכַּר־כֶּ֔סֶף וַעֲשֶׂ֨רֶת אֲלָפִ֤ים כֹּרִים֙ חִטִּ֔ים וּשְׂעֹורִ֖ים עֲשֶׂ֣רֶת אֲלָפִ֑ים זֹ֗את הֵשִׁ֤יבוּ לֹו֙ בְּנֵ֣י עַמֹּ֔ון ס וּבַשָּׁנָ֥ה הַשֵּׁנִ֖ית וְהַשְּׁלִשִֽׁית׃

And he he waged war with [the] king of [the] people of Ammon and he prevailed over them and they gave to him [the] people of Ammon in the year that one hundred talent[s] of silver and ten thousand cors wheat and barley ten thousand this they brought to him [the] people of (Ammon. *Lav) And in the year second and third.

6 וַיִּתְחַזֵּ֖ק יֹותָ֑ם כִּ֚י הֵכִ֣ין דְּרָכָ֔יו לִפְנֵ֖י יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהָֽיו׃

And he strengthened himself Jotham for he had directed ways his before Yahweh God his.

7 וְיֶתֶר֙ דִּבְרֵ֣י יֹותָ֔ם וְכָל־מִלְחֲמֹתָ֖יו וּדְרָכָ֑יו הִנָּ֣ם כְּתוּבִ֔ים עַל־סֵ֥פֶר מַלְכֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל וִיהוּדָֽה׃

And [the] rest of [the] matters of Jotham and all wars his and ways his there they [are] written on [the] scroll of [the] kings of Israel and Judah.

8 בֶּן־עֶשְׂרִ֧ים וְחָמֵ֛שׁ שָׁנָ֖ה הָיָ֣ה בְמָלְכֹ֑ו וְשֵׁשׁ־עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה שָׁנָ֔ה מָלַ֖ךְ בִּירוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃

A son of twenty and five year[s] he was when became king he and six-teen year[s] he reigned in Jerusalem.

9 וַיִּשְׁכַּ֤ב יֹותָם֙ עִם־אֲבֹתָ֔יו וַיִּקְבְּר֥וּ אֹתֹ֖ו בְּעִ֣יר דָּוִ֑יד וַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְ אָחָ֥ז בְּנֹ֖ו תַּחְתָּֽיו׃ פ

And he lay down Jotham with ancestors his and people buried him in [the] city of David and he became king Ahaz son his in place of him.
