1 שְׁמוּאֵל 3
| וְהַנַּ֧עַר שְׁמוּאֵ֛ל מְשָׁרֵ֥ת אֶת־יְהוָ֖ה לִפְנֵ֣י עֵלִ֑י וּדְבַר־יְהוָ֗ה הָיָ֤ה יָקָר֙ בַּיָּמִ֣ים הָהֵ֔ם אֵ֥ין חָזֹ֖ון נִפְרָֽץ׃ ס | 1 |
and [the] youth Samuel to minister [obj] LORD to/for face: before Eli and word LORD to be precious in/on/with day [the] they(masc.) nothing vision to break through
| וַֽיְהִי֙ בַּיֹּ֣ום הַה֔וּא וְעֵלִ֖י שֹׁכֵ֣ב בִּמְקֹמֹ֑ו וְעֵינֹו (וְעֵינָיו֙) הֵחֵ֣לּוּ כֵהֹ֔ות לֹ֥א יוּכַ֖ל לִרְאֹֽות׃ | 2 |
and to be in/on/with day [the] he/she/it and Eli to lie down: lay down in/on/with place his (and eye: seeing his *QK) to profane/begin: begin faint not be able to/for to see: see
| וְנֵ֤ר אֱלֹהִים֙ טֶ֣רֶם יִכְבֶּ֔ה וּשְׁמוּאֵ֖ל שֹׁכֵ֑ב בְּהֵיכַ֣ל יְהוָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־שָׁ֖ם אֲרֹ֥ון אֱלֹהִֽים׃ פ | 3 |
and lamp God before to quench and Samuel to lie down: lay down in/on/with temple LORD which there ark God
| וַיִּקְרָ֧א יְהוָ֛ה אֶל־שְׁמוּאֵ֖ל וַיֹּ֥אמֶר הִנֵּֽנִי׃ | 4 |
and to call: call to LORD to(wards) Samuel and to say look! I
| וַיָּ֣רָץ אֶל־עֵלִ֗י וַיֹּ֤אמֶר הִנְנִי֙ כִּֽי־קָרָ֣אתָ לִּ֔י וַיֹּ֥אמֶר לֹֽא־קָרָ֖אתִי שׁ֣וּב שְׁכָ֑ב וַיֵּ֖לֶךְ וַיִּשְׁכָּֽב׃ ס | 5 |
and to run: run to(wards) Eli and to say look! I for to call: call to to/for me and to say not to call: call to to return: again to lie down: lay down and to go: went and to lie down: lay down
| וַיֹּ֣סֶף יְהוָ֗ה קְרֹ֣א עֹוד֮ שְׁמוּאֵל֒ וַיָּ֤קָם שְׁמוּאֵל֙ וַיֵּ֣לֶךְ אֶל־עֵלִ֔י וַיֹּ֣אמֶר הִנְנִ֔י כִּ֥י קָרָ֖אתָ לִ֑י וַיֹּ֛אמֶר לֹֽא־קָרָ֥אתִי בְנִ֖י שׁ֥וּב שְׁכָֽב׃ | 6 |
and to add: again LORD to call: call to still Samuel and to arise: rise Samuel and to go: went to(wards) Eli and to say look! I for to call: call to to/for me and to say not to call: call to son: child my to return: again to lie down: lay down
| וּשְׁמוּאֵ֕ל טֶ֖רֶם יָדַ֣ע אֶת־יְהוָ֑ה וְטֶ֛רֶם יִגָּלֶ֥ה אֵלָ֖יו דְּבַר־יְהוָֽה׃ | 7 |
and Samuel before to know [obj] LORD and before to reveal: reveal to(wards) him word LORD
| וַיֹּ֨סֶף יְהוָ֥ה קְרֹא־שְׁמוּאֵל֮ בַּשְּׁלִשִׁית֒ וַיָּ֙קָם֙ וַיֵּ֣לֶךְ אֶל־עֵלִ֔י וַיֹּ֣אמֶר הִנְנִ֔י כִּ֥י קָרָ֖אתָ לִ֑י וַיָּ֣בֶן עֵלִ֔י כִּ֥י יְהוָ֖ה קֹרֵ֥א לַנָּֽעַר׃ | 8 |
and to add: again LORD to call: call to Samuel in/on/with third and to arise: rise and to go: went to(wards) Eli and to say look! I for to call: call to to/for me and to understand Eli for LORD to call: call to to/for youth
| וַיֹּ֨אמֶר עֵלִ֣י לִשְׁמוּאֵל֮ לֵ֣ךְ שְׁכָב֒ וְהָיָה֙ אִם־יִקְרָ֣א אֵלֶ֔יךָ וְאָֽמַרְתָּ֙ דַּבֵּ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה כִּ֥י שֹׁמֵ֖עַ עַבְדֶּ֑ךָ וַיֵּ֣לֶךְ שְׁמוּאֵ֔ל וַיִּשְׁכַּ֖ב בִּמְקֹומֹֽו׃ | 9 |
and to say Eli to/for Samuel to go: went to lie down: lay down and to be if to call: call to to(wards) you and to say to speak: speak LORD for to hear: hear servant/slave your and to go: went Samuel and to lie down: lay down in/on/with place his
| וַיָּבֹ֤א יְהוָה֙ וַיִּתְיַצַּ֔ב וַיִּקְרָ֥א כְפַֽעַם־בְּפַ֖עַם שְׁמוּאֵ֣ל ׀ שְׁמוּאֵ֑ל וַיֹּ֤אמֶר שְׁמוּאֵל֙ דַּבֵּ֔ר כִּ֥י שֹׁמֵ֖עַ עַבְדֶּֽךָ׃ פ | 10 |
and to come (in): come LORD and to stand and to call: call to like/as beat in/on/with beat Samuel Samuel and to say Samuel to speak: speak for to hear: hear servant/slave your
| וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֶל־שְׁמוּאֵ֔ל הִנֵּ֧ה אָנֹכִ֛י עֹשֶׂ֥ה דָבָ֖ר בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל אֲשֶׁר֙ כָּל־שֹׁ֣מְעֹ֔ו תְּצִלֶּ֖ינָה שְׁתֵּ֥י אָזְנָֽיו׃ | 11 |
and to say LORD to(wards) Samuel behold I to make: do word: thing in/on/with Israel which all to hear: hear him to tingle two ear his
| בַּיֹּ֤ום הַהוּא֙ אָקִ֣ים אֶל־עֵלִ֔י אֵ֛ת כָּל־אֲשֶׁ֥ר דִּבַּ֖רְתִּי אֶל־בֵּיתֹ֑ו הָחֵ֖ל וְכַלֵּֽה׃ | 12 |
in/on/with day [the] he/she/it to arise: establish to(wards) Eli [obj] all which to speak: speak to(wards) house: household his to profane/begin: begin and to end: finish
| וְהִגַּ֣דְתִּי לֹ֔ו כִּֽי־שֹׁפֵ֥ט אֲנִ֛י אֶת־בֵּיתֹ֖ו עַד־עֹולָ֑ם בַּעֲוֹ֣ן אֲשֶׁר־יָדַ֗ע כִּֽי־מְקַֽלְלִ֤ים לָהֶם֙ בָּנָ֔יו וְלֹ֥א כִהָ֖ה בָּֽם׃ | 13 |
and to tell to/for him for to judge I [obj] house: household his till forever: enduring in/on/with iniquity: crime which to know for to lighten to/for them son: child his and not to rebuke in/on/with them
| וְלָכֵ֥ן נִשְׁבַּ֖עְתִּי לְבֵ֣ית עֵלִ֑י אִֽם־יִתְכַּפֵּ֞ר עֲוֹ֧ן בֵּית־עֵלִ֛י בְּזֶ֥בַח וּבְמִנְחָ֖ה עַד־עֹולָֽם׃ | 14 |
and to/for so to swear to/for house: household Eli if: surely yes to atone iniquity: crime house: household Eli in/on/with sacrifice and in/on/with offering till forever: enduring
| וַיִּשְׁכַּ֤ב שְׁמוּאֵל֙ עַד־הַבֹּ֔קֶר וַיִּפְתַּ֖ח אֶת־דַּלְתֹ֣ות בֵּית־יְהוָ֑ה וּשְׁמוּאֵ֣ל יָרֵ֔א מֵהַגִּ֥יד אֶת־הַמַּרְאָ֖ה אֶל־עֵלִֽי׃ | 15 |
and to lie down: lay down Samuel till [the] morning and to open [obj] door house: temple LORD and Samuel to fear from to tell [obj] [the] vision to(wards) Eli
| וַיִּקְרָ֤א עֵלִי֙ אֶת־שְׁמוּאֵ֔ל וַיֹּ֖אמֶר שְׁמוּאֵ֣ל בְּנִ֑י וַיֹּ֖אמֶר הִנֵּֽנִי׃ | 16 |
and to call: call to Eli [obj] Samuel and to say Samuel son: child my and to say look! I
| וַיֹּ֗אמֶר מָ֤ה הַדָּבָר֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר דִּבֶּ֣ר אֵלֶ֔יךָ אַל־נָ֥א תְכַחֵ֖ד מִמֶּ֑נִּי כֹּ֣ה יַעֲשֶׂה־לְּךָ֤ אֱלֹהִים֙ וְכֹ֣ה יֹוסִ֔יף אִם־תְּכַחֵ֤ד מִמֶּ֙נִּי֙ דָּבָ֔ר מִכָּל־הַדָּבָ֖ר אֲשֶׁר־דִּבֶּ֥ר אֵלֶֽיךָ׃ | 17 |
and to say what? [the] word: thing which to speak: speak to(wards) you not please to hide from me thus to make: do to/for you God and thus to add if to hide from me word: thing from all [the] word: thing which to speak: speak to(wards) you
| וַיַּגֶּד־לֹ֤ו שְׁמוּאֵל֙ אֶת־כָּל־הַדְּבָרִ֔ים וְלֹ֥א כִחֵ֖ד מִמֶּ֑נּוּ וַיֹּאמַ֕ר יְהוָ֣ה ה֔וּא הַטֹּ֥וב בְּעֵינָ֖ו יַעֲשֶֽׂה׃ פ | 18 |
and to tell to/for him Samuel [obj] all [the] word: thing and not to hide from him and to say LORD he/she/it [the] pleasant (in/on/with eye: appearance his *QK) to make: do
| וַיִּגְדַּ֖ל שְׁמוּאֵ֑ל וַֽיהוָה֙ הָיָ֣ה עִמֹּ֔ו וְלֹֽא־הִפִּ֥יל מִכָּל־דְּבָרָ֖יו אָֽרְצָה׃ | 19 |
and to magnify Samuel and LORD to be with him and not to fall: fall from all word his land: soil [to]
| וַיֵּ֙דַע֙ כָּל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל מִדָּ֖ן וְעַד־בְּאֵ֣ר שָׁ֑בַע כִּ֚י נֶאֱמָ֣ן שְׁמוּאֵ֔ל לְנָבִ֖יא לַיהוָֽה׃ | 20 |
and to know all Israel from Dan and till Beersheba Beersheba for be faithful Samuel to/for prophet to/for LORD
| וַיֹּ֥סֶף יְהוָ֖ה לְהֵרָאֹ֣ה בְשִׁלֹ֑ה כִּֽי־נִגְלָ֨ה יְהוָ֧ה אֶל־שְׁמוּאֵ֛ל בְּשִׁלֹ֖ו בִּדְבַ֥ר יְהוָֽה׃ פ | 21 |
and to add: again LORD to/for to see: see in/on/with Shiloh for to reveal: reveal LORD to(wards) Samuel in/on/with Shiloh in/on/with word LORD
