< Ezekiela 42 >

1 A LAILA lawe mai oia ia'u i ka pahale mawaho ma ka aoao kukulu akau; a hookomo ae ia'u iloko o ke keena e ku pono ana i kahi kaawale, ka mea imua o ke alo o ka hale ma ka aoao kukulu akau.
And he brought me into the inner court eastward, opposite the northern gate: and he brought me in, and behold five chambers near the vacant space, and near the northern partition,
2 Ma ke alo o ka loa o na kubita hookahi haneri ka ipuka kukulu akau, a o ka laula he kanalima kubita.
a hundred cubits in length toward the north, and in breadth fifty,
3 E ku pono ana hoi i na kubita he iwakalua no ka pahale iloko, a ku pono ana hoi i ke keehana no ka pahale mawaho, he anuu e ku pono ana i ke anuu, ekolu papa.
ornamented accordingly as the gates of the inner court, and arranged accordingly as the peristyles of the outer court, [with] triple porticos fronting one another.
4 A ma ke alo o na keena he wahi e holoholo ai he umi kubita ka laula maloko, he ala hookahi kubita; a ma ke kukulu akau ko lakou mau puka.
And in front of the chambers was a walk ten cubits in breadth, the length [reaching] to a hundred cubits; and their doors were northward.
5 Pokole mai hoi na keena luna: no ka mea, na pau ke kauwahi o lakou i na papaluna, i ko lalo loa, a me ko waeua o ka hale.
And the upper walks were in like manner: for the peristyle projected from it, [even] from the range of columns below, and [there was] a space between; so [were there] a peristyle and a space between, and so [were there] two porticos.
6 No ka mea, ekolu ko lakou, aole hoi o lakou mau kia e like me na kia o na pahale; nolaila ua hoemiia ka hale i ko lalo a me ko waena mai ka honua aku.
For they were triple, and they had not pillars like the pillars of the outer ones: therefore they projected from the lower ones and the middle ones from the ground.
7 A o ka pa mawaho e ku pono ana i na keena, e nana ana i ka pahale mawaho, ma ke alo o na keena, o kona loa he kanalima kubita.
And [there was] light without, corresponding to the chambers of the outer court looking toward the front of the northern chambers; the length [of them was] fifty cubits.
8 No ka mea, o ka loa o na keena maloko o ka pahale mawaho, he kanalima kubita; aia hoi, ma ke alo o ka luakini hookahi haneri kubita.
For the length of the chambers looking toward the inner court was fifty cubits, and these are the ones that front the others; the whole was a hundred cubits.
9 A malalo ae o keia mau keena ke komo ana ma ka aoao hikina, i ke komo ana'ku ilaila mai ka pahale mawaho aku.
And [there were] doors of these chambers for an outlet toward the east, so that one should go through them out of the outer court,
10 Maloko na keena o ka manoanoa o ka pa ma ka hikina e ku pono ana i kahi kaawale, a e ku pono ana i ka hale.
by the opening of the walk at the corner; and the south parts were toward the south, toward the remaining space, and toward the partition, and [so were] the chambers.
11 A o ke ala ma ko lakou alo, ua like me na keena ma ke kukulu akau i ka nana aku, ua like ka loa me ko lakou, a ua like ka laula me ko lakou; a o ko lakou puka ana ae, mamuli no ia o ko lakou ano a me ko lakou mau ipuka.
And the walk was in front of them, according to the measures of the chambers toward the north, both according to the length of them, and according to the breadth of them, and according to all their openings, an according to all their turnings, and according to their lights, and according to their doors.
12 A mamuli hoi o na puka o na keena, ma ka aoao kukulu hema, he puka ma ke poo o ke ala, ke ala ku pono i ke alo o ka pa, ma ka hikina, i ke komo ana o kekahi ilaila.
[So were the measures] of the chambers toward the south, and according to the doors at the entrance of the walk, as it were the distance of a reed for light, and eastward as one went in by them.
13 Alaila olelo mai la oia ia'u, O ua keena ma ka akau, a o na keena ma ka hema, ma ke alo o kahi kaawale, he mau keena hoano ia, kahi o na kahuna i hookokoke ia Iehova, e ai ai i na mea hoano loa; malaila hoi e waiho iho ai lakou i na mea hoano loa, me ka mohai ai, a me ka mohailawehala, a me ka mohaihala, no ka mea, he hoano ia wahi.
And he said to me, The chambers toward the north, and the chambers toward the south, in front of the void spaces, these are the chambers of the sanctuary, wherein the priests the sons of Sadduc, who draw night to the Lord, shall eat the most holy things: and there shall they lay the most holy things, and the meat-offering, and the sin-offerings, and the trespass-offerings; because the place is holy.
14 Aia komo na kahuna ilaila, aole lakou e hele aku mai loko aku o kahi hoano a i ka pahale mawaho, aka, malaila no e waiho iho ai lakou i ko lakou mau kapa komo i lawelawe ai lakou, no ka mea, he mau mea hoano ia; a e hookomo i na kapa komo e ae, a e hookokoke i kahi o na kanaka.
None shall go in there except the priests, [and] they shall not go forth of the holy place into the outer court, that they that draw near [to me] may be continually holy, and may not touch their garments in which they minister, [with defilement], for they are holy; and they shall put on other garments whenever they come in contact with the people.
15 A pau kona ana ana'e i ka hale oloko, lawe mai oia ia'u i ka ipuka e nana ana i ka hikina, a ana'e la oia ia mea a puni.
So the measurement of the house within was accomplished: and he brought me forth by the way of the gate that looks eastward, and measured the plan of the house round about in order.
16 Ana'e la hoi oia i ka aoao hikina me ke ana ohe, elima haneri ohe, me ke ana ohe a puni.
And he stood behind the gate looking eastward, and measured five hundred [cubits] with the measuring reed.
17 Ana'e la hoi oia i ka aoao kukulu akau me ke ana ohe, elima haneri ohe, me ke ana ohe a puni.
And he turned to the north and measured in front of the north [side] five hundred cubits with the measuring reed.
18 Ana'e la hoi oia i ka aoao kukulu hema, me ke ana ohe, elima haneri ohe.
And he turned to the west, and measured in front of the west side, five hundred [cubits] with the measuring reed.
19 Huli ao la ia i ka aoao komohana, a ana'e la elima haneri ohe, me ke ana ohe.
And he turned to the south, and measured in front of the south side, five hundred [cubits] by the measuring reed.
20 Ana'e la oia ia ma kona mau aoao eha; he pa kona a puni, elima haneri ka loa, elima haneri ka laula, e kaawale ai iwaena o kahi hoano a me kahi hoano ole.
The [four sides he measured] by the same reed, and he marked out the house and the circumference of the parts round about, [a space] of five hundred [cubits] eastward, and a breadth of five hundred cubits, to make a division between the sanctuary and the outer wall, that [belonged to] the design of the house.
