< Sòm 1 >

1 Ala bon sa bon pou moun ki pa koute konsèy mechan yo, ki pa swiv egzanp moun k'ap fè sa ki mal, ki pa chita ansanm ak moun k'ap pase Bondye nan betiz,
How blessed! [is] the person who - not he walks in [the] counsel of wicked [people] and in [the] way of sinners not he stands and in [the] seat of mockers not he sits.
2 men ki pran tout plezi l' nan lalwa Seyè a, k'ap repase l' nan tèt li lajounen kou lannwit.
That except [is] in [the] law of Yahweh delight his and in law his he meditates by day and night.
3 Li tankou yon pyebwa yo plante bò kannal dlo: Li donnen lè sezon l' rive. Fèy li p'ap janm fennen. Tou sa l' fè soti byen.
And he is like a tree planted at streams of water which fruit its - it gives at appropriate time its and leafage its not it withers and all that he does it succeeds.
4 Men, se p'ap menm bagay pou mechan yo. Yo tankou pay van an ap gaye.
Not [are] so the wicked [people] that except [they are] like the chaff which it drives about it wind.
5 Se poutèt sa, jou jijman an, mechan yo p'ap ka leve tèt yo devan Bondye, moun ki fè mal yo p'ap chita ansanm ak moun ki fè byen yo.
There-fore - not they will stand wicked [people] in the judgment and sinners in [the] congregation of righteous [people].
6 Paske, Seyè a konnen jan moun ki fè byen yo ap viv. Men, jan mechan yo ap viv la, yo gen pou yo fini mal.
For [is] knowing Yahweh [the] way of righteous [people] and [the] way of wicked [people] it will perish.
