ઝખાર્યા 13
1 ૧ તે દિવસે દાઉદના ઘર પર તથા યરુશાલેમના રેહવાસીઓ પર તેઓનાં પાપ અને અશુદ્ધતા માટે ઝરો ખોલવામાં આવશે.
“In that day there will be a fountain opened to David’s house and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for uncleanness.
2 ૨ સૈન્યોના યહોવાહ કહે છે કે “તે દિવસે હું દેશમાંથી મૂર્તિઓનું નામ નાબૂદ કરીશ કે ફરી તેઓને યાદ કરવામાં આવે નહિ; હું જૂઠા પ્રબોધકોને તથા અશુદ્ધ આત્માને દેશમાંથી દૂર કરીશ.
It will come to pass in that day, says Yahweh of Armies, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they will be remembered no more. I will also cause the prophets and the spirit of impurity to pass out of the land.
3 ૩ જો કોઈ માણસ ભવિષ્યવાણી કરવાનું ચાલુ રાખશે, તો તેને જન્મ આપનાર તેના માતા પિતા તેને કહેશે કે, ‘તું જીવતો રહેવાનો નથી, કેમ કે, તું યહોવાહના નામથી જૂઠું બોલે છે.’ તેને જન્મ આપનાર તેનાં માતાપિતા જ્યારે તે ભવિષ્યવાણી કરતો હશે ત્યારે તેને વીંધી નાખશે.
It will happen that when anyone still prophesies, then his father and his mother who bore him will tell him, ‘You must die, because you speak lies in Yahweh’s name;’ and his father and his mother who bore him will stab him when he prophesies.
4 ૪ તે દિવસે એવું થશે કે દરેક પ્રબોધક ભવિષ્યવાણી કહેતી વખતે પોતાના સંદર્શનને લીધે શરમાશે, તેઓ રૂઆંવાળા વસ્ત્ર પહેરીને લોકોને ઠગશે નહિ.
It will happen in that day that the prophets will each be ashamed of his vision when he prophesies; they won’t wear a hairy mantle to deceive,
5 ૫ કેમ કે તે કહેશે, ‘હું પ્રબોધક નથી. હું જમીનમાં કામ કરનાર માણસ છું, કેમ કે જ્યારે હું જુવાન હતો ત્યારથી હું જમીનમાં કામ કરતો આવ્યો છું.’
but he will say, ‘I am no prophet, I am a tiller of the ground; for I have been made a bondservant from my youth.’
6 ૬ પણ જો કોઈ તેને કહેશે કે, ‘તારા હાથો પર આ ઘા શાના છે?’ તો તે જવાબ આપશે કે, ‘તે ઘા તો મને મારા મિત્રોના ઘરમાં પડ્યા હતા તે છે.’”
One will say to him, ‘What are these wounds between your arms?’ Then he will answer, ‘Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.’
7 ૭ સૈન્યોના યહોવાહ કહે છે, “હે તલવાર મારા પાળક વિરુદ્ધ, તથા જે માણસ મારી પાસે ઊભો છે તેની વિરુદ્ધ જાગૃત થા. પાળકને માર, એટલે ટોળું વિખેરાઈ જશે. કેમ કે હું મારો હાથ નાનાંઓ પર ફેરવીશ.
“Awake, sword, against my shepherd, and against the man who is close to me,” says Yahweh of Armies. “Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered; and I will turn my hand against the little ones.
8 ૮ યહોવાહ કહે છે કે ત્યારે એવું થશે કે આખા દેશમાંના” બે ભાગ નષ્ટ પામીને નાબૂદ થશે; પણ ત્રીજો ભાગ બાકી રહેશે.
It shall happen that in all the land,” says Yahweh, “two parts in it will be cut off and die; but the third will be left in it.
9 ૯ ત્રીજા ભાગને હું અગ્નિમાં નાખીશ, અને જેમ ચાંદીને શુદ્ધ કરવામાં આવે છે તેમ હું તેને શુદ્ધ કરીશ, અને જેમ સોનાને પરખવામાં આવે છે તેમ તેની પરખ કરીશ. તેઓ મારું નામ પોકારશે, હું તેઓને જણાવીશ કે, ‘આ મારા લોકો છે.’ તેઓમાંનો દરેક કહેશે કે, ‘યહોવાહ અમારા ઈશ્વર છે.’”
I will bring the third part into the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will test them like gold is tested. They will call on my name, and I will hear them. I will say, ‘It is my people;’ and they will say, ‘Yahweh is my God.’”
