ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 62

1 ૧ મુખ્ય ગવૈયાને માટે; યદૂથૂનની રીત પ્રમાણે ગાવા માટે. દાઉદનું ગીત. મારો આત્મા શાંતિથી ઈશ્વરની રાહ જુએ છે; કેમ કે તેમનાથી મારો ઉદ્ધાર છે.

For the Chief Musician. To Jeduthun. A Psalm by David. My soul rests in God alone. My salvation is from him.

2 ૨ તે એકલા જ મારો ખડક તથા મારા ઉદ્ધારક છે; તે મારો ગઢ છે; હું પડી જનાર નથી.

He alone is my rock, my salvation, and my fortress. I will never be greatly shaken.

3 ૩ જે માણસ નમી ગયેલી ભીંત કે ખસી ગયેલી વાડના જેવો છે, તેને મારી નાખવાને તમે સર્વ ક્યાં સુધી તેના પર હુમલો કરશો?

How long will you assault a man? Would all of you throw him down, like a leaning wall, like a tottering fence?

4 ૪ તેઓ તેને તેના શ્રેષ્ઠ સ્થાનેથી નીચે પાડી નાખવા સલાહ લે છે; તેઓને જૂઠું બોલવું ગમે છે; તેઓ મુખેથી આશીર્વાદ આપે છે, પણ તેઓના હૃદયમાં તેઓ શાપ આપે છે.

They fully intend to throw him down from his lofty place. They delight in lies. They bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. (Selah)

5 ૫ હે મારો આત્મા, તું શાંતિથી ઈશ્વરની રાહ જો; કેમ કે મારી આશા તેમના પર જ છે.

My soul, wait in silence for God alone, for my expectation is from him.

6 ૬ તે એકલા જ મારા ખડક તથા મારા ઉદ્ધારક છે; તે મારા ગઢ છે; હું પડી જનાર નથી.

He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress. I will not be shaken.

7 ૭ ઈશ્વરમાં મારો ઉદ્ધાર તથા ગૌરવ છે; મારા સામર્થ્યનો ખડક તથા મારો આશ્રય ઈશ્વરમાં છે.

My salvation and my honor is with God. The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.

8 ૮ હે લોકો, તમે સર્વ સમયે તેમના પર ભરોસો રાખો; તેમની આગળ તમારું હૃદય ખુલ્લું કરો; ઈશ્વર આપણો આશ્રય છે. (સેલાહ)

Trust in him at all times, you people. Pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us. (Selah)

9 ૯ નિશ્ચે નિમ્ન પંક્તિના માણસો વ્યર્થ છે અને ઉચ્ચ પંક્તિના માણસો જૂઠા છે; તોલતી વેળાએ તેઓનું પલ્લું ઊંચું જશે; તેઓ બધા મળીને હવા કરતાં હલકા છે.

Surely men of low degree are just a breath, and men of high degree are a lie. In the balances they will go up. They are together lighter than a breath.

10 ૧૦ જુલમ અથવા લૂંટ પર ભરોસો કરશો નહિ; અને સમૃદ્ધિમાં નકામી આશા રાખશો નહિ, કેમ કે તેઓ ફળ આપશે નહિ; તેઓ પર મન ન લગાડો.

Don’t trust in oppression. Don’t become vain in robbery. If riches increase, don’t set your heart on them.

11 ૧૧ ઈશ્વર એક વાર બોલ્યા છે, આ વાત મેં બે વાર સાંભળી છે: સામર્થ્ય ઈશ્વરનું જ છે.

God has spoken once; twice I have heard this, that power belongs to God.

12 ૧૨ વળી, હે પ્રભુ, કૃપા પણ તમારી જ છે, કેમ કે તમે દરેક માણસને તેના કામ પ્રમાણે બદલો વાળી આપો છો.

Also to you, Lord, belongs loving kindness, for you reward every man according to his work.
