ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 46

1 ૧ મુખ્ય ગવૈયાને માટે; કોરાના દીકરાઓનું (ગીત); રાગ અલામોથ. ગાયન. ઈશ્વર આપણો આશ્રય તથા સામર્થ્ય છે, સંકટને સમયે તે હાજરહજૂર મદદગાર છે.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

2 ૨ માટે જો પૃથ્વી ઊથલપાથલ થાય જો પર્વતો સમુદ્રમાં ડૂબી જાય, તોપણ આપણે બીહીએ નહિ.

Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas;

3 ૩ જો તેનું પાણી ગર્જના કરે તથા વલોવાય જો તેના ઊછળવાથી પર્વતો કાંપી ઊઠે, તોપણ આપણે બીહીએ નહિ. (સેલાહ)

though its waters roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with their swelling. (Selah) ·contemplation with musical interlude·.

4 ૪ ત્યાં એક નદી છે જેના ઝરણાંઓ ઈશ્વરના નગરને એટલે પરાત્પરના મંડપના પવિત્રસ્થાનને આનંદમય કરે છે.

There is a river, the streams of which make the city of God glad, the holy place of the tents of haElyon [the Most High].

5 ૫ ઈશ્વર તેની વચમાં છે; તેને હલાવી શકાશે નહિ; મોટી સવારે ઈશ્વર તેને મદદ કરશે.

God is within her. She shall not be moved. God will help her at dawn.

6 ૬ વિદેશીઓએ તોફાન મચાવ્યું છે અને રાજ્યો ડગમગી ગયાં; તેમણે ગર્જના કરી એટલે, પૃથ્વી પીગળી ગઈ.

The nations raged. The kingdoms were moved. He lifted his voice, and the earth melted.

7 ૭ આપણી સાથે સૈન્યોના સરદાર યહોવાહ છે; આપણો આશ્રય યાકૂબના ઈશ્વર છે. (સેલાહ)

Adonai Tzva'ot [Yahweh Commander of heaven’s armies] is with us. The God of Jacob [Supplanter] is our refuge. (Selah) ·contemplation with musical interlude·.

8 ૮ આવો યહોવાહનાં પરાક્રમો જુઓ, તેમણે પૃથ્વીની કેવી પાયમાલી કરી છે તે જુઓ.

Come, see Adonai’s works, what desolations he has made in the earth.

9 ૯ તે પૃથ્વીના છેડાઓ સુધી યુદ્ધોને બંધ કરી દે છે; તે ધનુષ્યને ભાંગી નાખે છે અને ભાલાને કાપી નાખે છે; રથોને અગ્નિથી બાળી નાખે છે.

He makes wars cease to the end of the earth. He breaks the bow, and shatters the spear. He burns the chariots in the fire.

10 ૧૦ લડાઈ બંધ કરો અને જાણો કે હું ઈશ્વર છું; હું વિદેશીઓમાં મોટો મનાઈશ; હું પૃથ્વીમાં મોટો મનાઈશ.

“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth.”

11 ૧૧ સૈન્યોના યહોવાહ આપણી સાથે છે; યાકૂબના ઈશ્વર આપણા આશ્રય છે. (સેલાહ)
