ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 101

1 ૧ દાઉદનું ગીત. કૃપા તથા ન્યાય વિષે હું ગાયન કરીશ; હે યહોવાહ, હું તમારી સ્તુતિ કરીશ.

A Psalm by David. I will sing of loving kindness and justice. To you, LORD, I will sing praises.

2 ૨ હું સીધા માર્ગમાં ચાલીશ. તમે મારી પાસે ક્યારે આવશો? હું ખરા અંતઃકરણથી મારા ઘરમાં વર્તીશ.

I will be careful to live a blameless life. When will you come to me? I will walk within my house with a blameless heart.

3 ૩ હું કંઈ ખોટું કાર્ય મારી દ્રષ્ટિમાં રાખીશ નહિ; પીછેહઠ કરનારાનાં કામથી હું કંટાળું છું; તેમની કંઈ અસર મને થશે નહિ.

I will set no vile thing before my eyes. I hate the deeds of faithless men. They will not cling to me.

4 ૪ અનુચિત લોકોને હું મારાથી દૂર રાખીશ; હું કોઈ દુષ્ટની ઓળખાણ રાખીશ નહિ.

A perverse heart will be far from me. I will have nothing to do with evil.

5 ૫ જે કોઈ પોતાના પાડોશીની છાની ચાડી કરે છે તેનો હું નાશ કરીશ. જેની દ્રષ્ટિ અભિમાની અને જેનું હૃદય ગર્વિષ્ઠ છે તેનું હું સહન કરીશ નહિ.

I will silence whoever secretly slanders his neighbor. I won’t tolerate one who is arrogant and conceited.

6 ૬ દેશમાંના વિશ્વાસુઓ મારી પાસે વાસો કરે તે માટે હું તેઓ પર રહેમ નજર રાખીશ. જે કોઈ સીધા માર્ગમાં ચાલે છે તે મારી સેવા કરશે.

My eyes will be on the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me. He who walks in a perfect way, he will serve me.

7 ૭ કપટી લોકો મારા ઘરમાં રહી શકશે નહિ; જૂઠું બોલનારા કોઈ મારી આંખ આગળ રહેશે નહિ.

He who practices deceit won’t dwell within my house. He who speaks falsehood won’t be established before my eyes.

8 ૮ આ દેશમાં રહેતા દુષ્ટ લોકોનો હું દરરોજ નાશ કરીશ; સર્વ દુષ્ટ કરનારાઓને યહોવાહના નગરમાંથી કાપી નાખીશ.

Morning by morning, I will destroy all the wicked of the land, to cut off all the workers of iniquity from the LORD’s city.
