ગણના 18
1 ૧ યહોવાહે હારુનને કહ્યું, “પવિત્રસ્થાન વિરુદ્ધ કરેલાં બધા પાપો માટે તું, તારા દીકરાઓ અને તારા પિતૃઓના કુટુંબો જવાબદાર છે. પણ તું અને તારી સાથે તારા દીકરાઓ યાજકપદની વિરુદ્ધ કરેલાં પાપો માટે જવાબદાર છે.
Adonai said to Aaron [Light-bringer], “You and your sons and your fathers’ house with you shall bear the iniquity of the sanctuary; and you and your sons with you shall bear the iniquity of your priesthood.
2 ૨ લેવી કુળના તારા ભાઈઓને, એટલે તારા પિતૃઓના કુળને, તારી પાસે લાવ કે જયારે તું અને તારા દીકરાઓ સાક્ષ્યમંડપની આગળ સેવા કરો ત્યારે તેઓ તમને મદદ કરે.
Bring your brothers also, the tribe of Levi [United with], the tribe of your father, near with you, that they may be joined to you, and minister to you; but you and your sons with you shall be before the Tent of the Testimony.
3 ૩ તેઓ તારી તથા આખા મંડપની સેવા કરે. પણ, તેઓએ પવિત્રસ્થાનનાં પાત્રો કે વેદીની નજીક આવવું નહિ. કે તેઓ તથા તું માર્યા જાઓ.
They shall keep your orders, and the duty of the whole Tent; only they shall not come near to the utensils of the sanctuary and to the altar, that they not die, neither they, nor you.
4 ૪ તેઓ તમારી સાથે જોડાઈને મુલાકાતમંડપની સેવા કરશે, મંડપ સાથે જોડાયેલાં બધાં કાર્યો કરશે. પરદેશી તમારી પાસે આવે નહિ.
They shall be joined to you, and keep the responsibility of the Tent of Meeting, for all the service of the Tent. A stranger shall not come near to you.
“You shall perform the duty of the sanctuary and the duty of the altar, that there be no more wrath on the children of Israel [God prevails].
6 ૬ જુઓ, મેં પોતે ઇઝરાયલના વંશજો મધ્યેથી તારા લેવી ભાઈઓને પસંદ કર્યા છે. મુલાકાતમંડપ સાથે જોડાયેલાં કાર્યો કરવા માટે તેઓ મને ભેટ તરીકે આપવામાં આવ્યા છે.
Behold, I myself have taken your brothers the Levites [Descendants of United with] from among the children of Israel [God prevails]. They are a gift to you, dedicated to Adonai, to do the service of the Tent of Meeting.
7 ૭ પરંતુ તું અને તારા દીકરાઓ વેદીને અને પડદાની અંદર પરમપવિત્રસ્થાનને લગતી યાજક તરીકેની બધી જ ફરજો બજાવો અને સેવા કરો. ભેટ તરીકે હું તમને યાજકપદ આપું છું. કોઈ પરદેશી પાસે આવે તે માર્યો જાય.”
You and your sons with you shall keep your priesthood for everything of the altar, and for that within the veil. You shall serve. I give you the service of the priesthood as a gift. The stranger who comes near shall be put to death.”
8 ૮ વળી યહોવાહે હારુનને કહ્યું, “જુઓ, મેં ઉચ્છાલીયાર્પણોની સેવા તને આપી છે, એટલે ઇઝરાયલી લોકો જે બધા પવિત્ર અર્પણો મને આપે છે. તેં મેં તમને તથા તમારા દીકરાઓને સદાના હક તરીકે આપ્યા છે.
Adonai spoke to Aaron [Light-bringer], “Behold, I myself have given you the charge of my wave offerings, even all the holy things of the children of Israel [God prevails]. I have given them to you by reason of the anointing, and to your sons, as a chok ·portion· forever.
9 ૯ અગ્નિમાં હોમવામાં આવેલા અર્પણનાં ભાગો સિવાય આ બધાં અતિ પવિત્ર અર્પણો તારાં ગણાશે. એટલે બધાં ખાદ્યાર્પણો, બધાં પાપાર્થાર્પણો અને બધાં દોષાર્થાર્પણો આ બધાં પવિત્ર અર્પણો જે મારે માટે રાખ્યાં છે અને મારા માટે લાવે તે તારાં અને તારા માટે પવિત્ર ગણાય.
This shall be yours of the most holy things from the fire: every offering of theirs, even every meal offering of theirs, and every sin offering of theirs, and every trespass offering of theirs, which they shall render to me, shall be most holy for you and for your sons.
10 ૧૦ તે પરમપવિત્ર વસ્તુઓ તરીકે તારે અર્પણો ખાવાં. તમારામાંના દરેક પુરુષોએ પણ તેમાંથી ખાવું; તે તારે માટે પવિત્ર ગણવાં.
You shall eat of it like the most holy things. Every male shall eat of it. It shall be holy to you.
11 ૧૧ આ બધાં અર્પણો તારાં છે: ઇઝરાયલના લોકો જે ઉચ્છાલીયાર્પણો ચઢાવે તે અને તેમની ભેટો સહિત, મેં તને, તારા દીકરાઓને તથા તારી દીકરીઓને સદાના હક તરીકે આપ્યાં છે. દરેક તારા ઘરમાં જે શુદ્ધ હોય તે આ અર્પણોમાંથી ખાય.
“This is yours, too: the wave offering of their gift, even all the wave offerings of the children of Israel [God prevails]. I have given them to you, and to your sons and to your daughters with you, as a chok ·portion· forever. Everyone who is clean in your house shall eat of it.
12 ૧૨ બધાં ઉત્તમ તેલ, બધો ઉત્તમ દ્રાક્ષારસ તથા અનાજ, જે પ્રથમફળ લોકોએ મને આપ્યું તે, આ બધી વસ્તુઓ મેં તને આપી છે.
“I have given to you all the best of the oil, and all the best of the vintage, and of the grain, the first fruits of them which they give to Adonai.
13 ૧૩ પોતાની ભૂમિની પ્રથમ પેદાશ તરીકે જે કંઈ મારી પાસે લાવે તે બધું તારું થશે. તારા કુટુંબમાં જે કોઈ શુદ્ધ હોય તે તેમાંથી ખાય.
The first-ripe fruits of all that is in their land, which they bring to Adonai, shall be yours. Everyone who is clean in your house shall eat of it.
“Everything devoted in Israel [God prevails] shall be yours.
15 ૧૫ લોકો જે યહોવાહને અર્પણ કરે. માણસ તેમ જ પશુમાંથી પ્રથમજનિત પણ તારા થાય. પણ તારે પ્રત્યેક પ્રથમજનિત બાળકને તથા અશુદ્ધ પશુના પ્રથમ બચ્ચાંને ખરીદીને તારે તેમને મુકત કરવાં.
Everything that opens the womb, of all flesh which they offer to Adonai, both of man and animal shall be yours. Nevertheless, you shall surely redeem the firstborn of man, and you shall redeem the firstborn of unclean animals.
16 ૧૬ તેઓમાંના જેઓને છોડાવી લેવાના હોય તેઓને એક મહિનાની ઉંમરથી તું તારા ઠરાવેલા મૂલ્યથી એટલે પવિત્રસ્થાનોના શેકેલ પ્રમાણે પાંચ શેકેલના નાણાંથી, જે વીસ ગેરહ જેટલું છે છોડાવી લે.
You shall redeem those who are to be redeemed of them from a month old, according to your estimation, for five shekels [2 oz; 56.7 g] of money, after the shekel of the sanctuary, (the shekel is 0.4oz; 11.34 g; or called twenty gerahs 20/50 of an oz)
17 ૧૭ પણ ગાયના પ્રથમજનિતને, ઘેટાંના પ્રથમજનિતને તથા બકરાના પ્રથમજનિતને તું ન ખરીદ. તેઓ પવિત્ર છે, મારા માટે અલગ કરેલા છે. તારે તેઓનું રક્ત વેદી પર છાંટવું અને મારા માટે સુવાસિત હોમયજ્ઞ તરીકે ચરબીનું અર્પણ કરવું.
“But you shall not redeem the firstborn of a cow, or the firstborn of a sheep, or the firstborn of a goat. They are holy. You shall sprinkle their blood on the altar, and shall burn their fat for an offering made by fire, for a pleasant aroma to Adonai.
Their meat shall be yours, as the wave offering breast and as the right thigh, it shall be yours.
19 ૧૯ ઇઝરાયલી લોકો જે પવિત્ર વસ્તુઓ મારી આગળ અર્પણ કરે છે તેઓનાં સર્વ ઉચ્છાલીયાર્પણો તને તથા તારા દીકરા અને દીકરીઓને સદા હક તરીકે આપ્યાં છે. તે સદાને માટે તારી અને તારા વંશજોની સાથે મેં કરેલો મીઠાનો કરાર છે.”
All the wave offerings of the holy things, which the children of Israel [God prevails] offer to Adonai, have I given you, and your sons and your daughters with you, as a chok ·portion· forever. It is a covenant of salt forever before Adonai to you and to your offspring with you.”
20 ૨૦ યહોવાહે હારુનને કહ્યું, “તેઓના દેશમાં તારે કંઈ વારસો ન હોય, કે લોકોની સંપત્તિ મધ્યે તારે કંઈ ભાગ ન હોય. ઇઝરાયલી લોકો મધ્યે તારો હિસ્સો અને તારો વારસો હું છું.
Adonai said to Aaron [Light-bringer], “You shall have no inheritance in their land, neither shall you have any portion among them. I am your portion and your inheritance among the children of Israel [God prevails].
21 ૨૧ લેવીના વંશજો, જે મુલાકાતમંડપની સેવા કરે છે તેના બદલામાં, જુઓ, મેં તેઓને ઇઝરાયલમાં બધા દશાંશનો દશમો વારસો આપ્યો છે.
“To the children of Levi [United with], behold, I have given all the tithe in Israel [God prevails] for an inheritance, in teshuvah ·complete return· for their service which they serve, even the service of the Tent of Meeting.
22 ૨૨ હવે પછી ઇઝરાયલના લોકો મુલાકાતમંડપ પાસે આવે નહિ, રખેને આ પાપ માટે તેઓ જવાબદાર ગણાય અને માર્યા જાય.
Henceforth the children of Israel [God prevails] shall not come near the Tent of Meeting, lest they bear sin, and die.
23 ૨૩ મુલાકાતમંડપની સેવા લેવીઓ જ કરે. તેને લગતા દરેક પાપને લીધે તે જવાબદાર ગણાય. તમારી પેઢી દરપેઢી આ સદાને માટે વિધિ થાય. અને ઇઝરાયલી લોકો મધ્યે તેઓને કોઈ વારસો ન મળે.
But the Levites [Descendants of United with] shall do the service of the Tent of Meeting, and they shall bear their iniquity. It shall be a statute forever throughout all your generations. Among the children of Israel [God prevails], they shall have no inheritance.
24 ૨૪ ઇઝરાયલ લોકોનો દશમો ભાગ યહોવાહને અર્પણ કરવો. તે મેં લેવીઓને વારસા તરીકે આપ્યો છે. તેથી મેં તેઓને કહ્યું, તેઓને ઇઝરાયલી મધ્યે કંઈ વારસો નહિ મળે.’”
For the tithe of the children of Israel [God prevails], which they offer as a wave offering to Adonai, I have given to the Levites [Descendants of United with] for an inheritance. Therefore I have said to them, ‘Among the children of Israel [God prevails] they shall have no inheritance.’”
Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out], saying,
26 ૨૬ “તું લેવીઓ સાથે વાત કરીને તેમને કહે કે, ‘યહોવાહે વારસા તરીકે આપેલો દશમો ભાગ જયારે તમે ઇઝરાયલી લોકો પાસેથી પ્રાપ્ત કરો, ત્યારે તમારે યહોવાહને દશમો ભાગ એટલે દશાંશનો દશમો ભાગ ઉચ્છાલીયાર્પણ તરીકે અર્પણ કરવો.
“Moreover you shall speak to the Levites [Descendants of United with], and tell them, ‘When you take of the children of Israel [God prevails] the tithe which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then you shall offer up a wave offering of it for Adonai, a tithe of the tithe.
27 ૨૭ તમારું ઉચ્છાલીયાર્પણ, ખળીના અનાજનો દસમો ભાગ તથા દ્રાક્ષકુંડની પેદાશનો દસમો ભાગ તમારા લાભમાં ગણાશે.
Your wave offering shall be credited to you, as though it were the grain of the threshing floor, and as the fullness of the wine press.
28 ૨૮ ઇઝરાયલી લોકો તરફથી તમને મળેલા દસમા ભાગમાંથી તમારે યહોવાહને ઉચ્છાલીયાર્પણ કરવાં. તેમાંથી તમે હારુન યાજકને ઉચ્છાલીયાર્પણ આપો.
Thus you also shall offer a wave offering to Adonai of all your tithes, which you receive of the children of Israel [God prevails]; and of it you shall give Adonai’s wave offering to Aaron [Light-bringer] the priest.
29 ૨૯ જે સર્વ ભેટો તું પ્રાપ્ત કરે તેમાંથી, તારે દરેક ઉચ્છાલીયાર્પણ યહોવાહને અર્પણ કરવાં. જે પવિત્ર અને ઉત્તમ વસ્તુઓ તને આપવામાં આવી છે તેમાંથી તારે અર્પણ કરવું.
Out of all your gifts, you shall offer every wave offering of Adonai, of all its best, even the holy part of it out of it.’
30 ૩૦ માટે તું તેઓને કહે, ‘તેમાંથી તેના ઉત્તમ ભાગનું જ્યારે તમે ઉચ્છાલીયાર્પણ કરો, ત્યારે તે ખળીની ઊપજ તથા દ્રાક્ષકુંડની ઊપજના અર્પણ જેટલું લેવીઓના લાભમાં ગણાશે.
“Therefore you shall tell them, ‘When you heave its best from it, then it shall be credited to the Levites [Descendants of United with] as the increase of the threshing floor, and as the increase of the wine press.
31 ૩૧ તું તથા તારાં કુટુંબો બચેલી તારી ભેટો ગમે તે જગ્યાએ ખાઓ, કારણ કે મુલાકાતમંડપમાં કરેલી સેવાનો તે બદલો ગણાશે.
You may eat it anywhere, you and your households, for it is your reward in return for your service in the Tent of Meeting.
32 ૩૨ જે ઉત્તમ ભાગ તમે પ્રાપ્ત કર્યો તે તમે યહોવાહને ઉચ્છાલીયાર્પણ તરીકે ચઢાવો, તે ખાવાથી તથા પીવાથી તેનો દોષ તમને નહિ લાગે. પણ તમારે ઇઝરાયલ લોકોનાં પવિત્ર અર્પણોને અશુદ્ધ કરવાં નહિ, રખેને તમે માર્યા જાઓ.’”
You shall bear no sin by reason of it, when you have heaved from it its best. You shall not profane the holy things of the children of Israel [God prevails], that you not die.’”
