યોહાન 15

1 ૧ ખરો દ્રાક્ષાવેલો હું છું અને મારા પિતા માળી છે.

“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.

2 ૨ મારામાંની દરેક ડાળી જેને ફળ આવતાં નથી તેને તે કાપી નાખે છે; અને જે ડાળીઓને ફળ આવે છે, તે દરેકને વધારે ફળ આવે માટે તે તેને શુદ્ધ કરે છે.

He cuts off every one of my branches that doesn't bear fruit. He prunes every branch that bears fruit so it can bear even more.

3 ૩ જે વચનો મેં તમને કહ્યાં છે તેના દ્વારા હવે તમે શુદ્ધ થઈ ગયા છો.

You are already pruned and made clean through what I've told you.

4 ૪ તમે મારામાં રહો અને હું તમારામાં રહીશ; જેમ ડાળી વેલામાં રહ્યા વિના પોતાની જાતે ફળ આપી શકતી નથી, તેમ તમે પણ મારામાં રહ્યા વિના ફળ આપી શકતા નથી.

Remain in me, and I will remain in you. Just as a branch cannot produce fruit unless it remains part of the vine, so it is for you: you cannot bear fruit unless you remain in me.

5 ૫ હું તો દ્રાક્ષાવેલો છું; અને તમે ડાળીઓ છો; જે મારામાં રહે છે અને હું તેનામાં રહું છું, તે જ ઘણાં ફળ આપે છે; કેમ કે મારાથી નિરાળા રહીને તમે કંઈ કરી શકતા નથી.

I'm the vine, you're the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit—for apart from me you can't do anything.

6 ૬ જો કોઈ મારામાં રહેતો નથી, તો ડાળીની પેઠે તેને બહાર ફેંકી દેવામાં આવે છે; નાખી દેવાયેલી ડાળીઓ સુકાઈ જાય છે; પછી લોક તેઓને એકઠી કરીને અગ્નિમાં નાખે છે અને તેઓને બાળવામાં આવે છે.

Anyone who doesn't remain in me is like a branch that is thrown out and dries up. Such branches are gathered together, thrown into the fire and burned.

7 ૭ જો તમે મારામાં રહો; અને મારાં વચનો તમારામાં રહે, તો જે કંઈ તમે ચાહો તે માગો, એટલે તે તમને મળશે.

If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, then you can ask for whatever you want, and it will be given you.

8 ૮ તમે બહુ ફળ આપો, એમાં મારા પિતા મહિમાવાન થાય છે; અને એથી તમે મારા શિષ્ય થશો.

My Father is glorified as you produce much fruit, proving you are my disciples.

9 ૯ જેમ પિતાએ મારા પર પ્રેમ રાખ્યો છે, તેમ મેં પણ તમારા પર પ્રેમ રાખ્યો છે; તમે મારા પ્રેમમાં રહો.

As the Father loved me, so I have loved you. Remain in my love.

10 ૧૦ જેમ હું મારા પિતાની આજ્ઞાઓ પાળીને તેમના પ્રેમમાં રહું છું, તેમ જો તમે મારી આજ્ઞાઓ પાળો તો તમે મારા પ્રેમમાં રહેશો.

If you do what I say, you will remain in my love, just as I do what my Father says and remain in his love.

11 ૧૧ મારો આનંદ તમારામાં રહે; અને તમારો આનંદ સંપૂર્ણ થાય, એ માટે મેં તમને એ વાતો કહી છે.

I've explained this to you so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.

12 ૧૨ મારી આજ્ઞા એ છે કે, ‘જેમ મેં તમારા પર પ્રેમ રાખ્યો છે, તેમ તમે એકબીજા પર પ્રેમ રાખો.’”

This is my command: love one another as I have loved you.

13 ૧૩ પોતાના મિત્રોને સારું પોતાનો જીવ આપવો, તે કરતાં મહાન અન્ય કોઈ પ્રેમ નથી.

There is no greater love than to give your life for your friends.

14 ૧૪ જે આજ્ઞાઓ હું તમને આપું છું તે જો તમે પાળો છો તો તમે મારા મિત્ર છો.

You're my friends if you do what I tell you.

15 ૧૫ હવેથી હું તમને દાસ કહેતો નથી; કેમ કે પોતાનો શેઠ જે કરે છે તે દાસ જાણતો નથી; પણ મેં તમને મિત્ર કહ્યાં છે; કેમ કે જે વાતો મેં મારા પિતા પાસેથી સાંભળી હતી તે બધી મેં તમને જણાવી છે.

I don't call you servants any longer, for servants are not taken into their master's confidence. I call you friends, for everything my Father told me I've explained to you.

16 ૧૬ તમે મને પસંદ કર્યો નથી, પણ મેં તમને પસંદ કર્યાં છે; અને તમને મોકલ્યા છે, કે તમે જઈને ફળ આપો; અને તમારાં ફળ કાયમ રહે. જેથી તમે મારે નામે પિતાની પાસે જે કંઈ માગો તે તમને તે આપે.

You didn't choose me, I chose you. I have given you the responsibility to go and produce lasting fruit. So the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.

17 ૧૭ તમે એકબીજા પર પ્રેમ રાખો માટે હું તમને એ આજ્ઞાઓ આપું છું.

This is my command to you: love one another.

18 ૧૮ જો જગત તમારો દ્વેષ રાખે છે તો તમારા પહેલાં તેણે મારો દ્વેષ કર્યો છે, એ તમે જાણો છો.

If the world hates you, remember that it hated me before it hated you.

19 ૧૯ જો તમે જગતના હોત તો પોતાના હોવાથી જગત તમારા ઉપર પ્રેમ રાખત; પરંતુ તમે જગતના નથી, પણ મેં તમને જગતમાંથી પસંદ કર્યાં છે, તેથી જગત તમારા પર દ્વેષ રાખે છે.

If you were part of this world, it would love you as its own. But you're not part of the world, and I chose you out of the world—that's why the world hates you.

20 ૨૦ દાસ પોતાના શેઠથી મોટો નથી, એવી જે વાત મેં તમને કહી તે યાદ રાખો. જો તેઓએ મને સતાવ્યો છે, તો તમને પણ સતાવશે. જો તેઓએ મારાં વચનોનું પાલન કર્યું તો તમારા પણ પાળશે.

Remember what I told you: servants aren't more important than their master. If they persecuted me, they will persecute you too. If they did what I told them, they will do what you tell them too.

21 ૨૧ પણ એ બધું મારા નામને માટે તેઓ તમને કરશે, કેમ કે તેઓ મારા મોકલનારને જાણતા નથી.

But everything they do to you will be because of me, for they don't know the one who sent me.

22 ૨૨ જો હું આવ્યો ન હોત અને તેઓને કહ્યું ન હોત, તો તેઓને પાપ લાગત નહિ; પણ હવે તેઓના પાપ સંબંધી તેઓને કંઈ બહાનું રહ્યું નથી.

If I hadn't come and spoken to them, they wouldn't be guilty of sin—but now they have no excuse for their sin.

23 ૨૩ જે મારો દ્વેષ કરે છે, તે મારા પિતાનો પણ દ્વેષ કરે છે.

Anyone who hates me hates my Father as well.

24 ૨૪ જે કામો બીજા કોઈએ કર્યાં નથી, તે જો મેં તેઓ મધ્યે કર્યાં ન હોત, તો તેઓને પાપ ન લાગત; પણ હવે તેઓએ મને તથા મારા પિતાને પણ જોયા છે, અને તોપણ દ્વેષ રાખ્યો છે.

If I had not given them such a demonstration through things that no one had ever done before, they wouldn't be guilty of sin, but despite seeing all this they hated both me and my Father.

25 ૨૫ તેઓના નિયમશાસ્ત્રમાં વચન લખેલું છે કે, ‘તેઓએ વિનાકારણ મારા પર દ્વેષ રાખ્યો છે, તે પૂર્ણ થાય તે માટે એવું થયું.

But this just fulfilled what Scripture says, ‘They hated me for no reason at all.’

26 ૨૬ પણ સહાયક, એટલે સત્યનો આત્મા, જે પિતાની પાસેથી આવે છે, તેને હું પિતાની પાસેથી તમારી પાસે મોકલી દઈશ; તે જયારે આવશે, ત્યારે મારા સંબંધી સાક્ષી આપશે.

But I will send you the Comforter from the Father. When he comes, he will give evidence about me. He is the Spirit of truth who comes from the Father.

27 ૨૭ તમે પણ સાક્ષી આપશો, કેમ કે તમે આરંભથી મારી સાથે છો.

You will also give evidence about me because you were with me from the beginning.
