Κατα Λουκαν 5
1 εγενετο δε εν τω τον οχλον επικεισθαι αυτω και ακουειν τον λογον του θεου και αυτος ην εστως παρα την λιμνην γεννησαρετ
Now while the multitude pressed on him and heard ha D'var Elohim · the Word of God·, he was standing by the lake of Gennesaret.
2 και ειδεν {VAR1: πλοια δυο } {VAR2: δυο πλοια } εστωτα παρα την λιμνην οι δε αλιεις απ αυτων αποβαντες επλυνον τα δικτυα
He saw two boats standing by the lake, but the fishermen had gone out of them, and were washing their nets.
3 εμβας δε εις εν των πλοιων ο ην σιμωνος ηρωτησεν αυτον απο της γης επαναγαγειν ολιγον καθισας δε εκ του πλοιου εδιδασκεν τους οχλους
He entered into one of the boats, which was Simeon [Hearing]’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land. He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat.
4 ως δε επαυσατο λαλων ειπεν προς τον σιμωνα επαναγαγε εις το βαθος και χαλασατε τα δικτυα υμων εις αγραν
When he had finished speaking, he said to Simeon [Hearing], “Put out into the deep, and let down your nets for a catch.”
5 και αποκριθεις σιμων ειπεν επιστατα δι ολης νυκτος κοπιασαντες ουδεν ελαβομεν επι δε τω ρηματι σου χαλασω τα δικτυα
Simeon [Hearing] answered him, “Master, we worked all night, and took nothing; but at your word I will let down the net.”
6 και τουτο ποιησαντες συνεκλεισαν πληθος ιχθυων πολυ διερρησσετο δε τα δικτυα αυτων
When they had done this, they caught a great multitude of fish, and their net was breaking.
7 και κατενευσαν τοις μετοχοις εν τω ετερω πλοιω του ελθοντας συλλαβεσθαι αυτοις και ηλθον και επλησαν αμφοτερα τα πλοια ωστε βυθιζεσθαι αυτα
They beckoned to their partners in the other boat, that they should come and help them. They came, and filled both boats, so that they began to sink.
8 ιδων δε σιμων πετρος προσεπεσεν τοις γονασιν ιησου λεγων εξελθε απ εμου οτι ανηρ αμαρτωλος ειμι κυριε
But Simeon Peter [Hearing Rock], when he saw it, fell down at Yeshua [Salvation]'s knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, Lord.”
9 θαμβος γαρ περιεσχεν αυτον και παντας τους συν αυτω επι τη αγρα των ιχθυων ων συνελαβον
For he was amazed, and all who were with him, at the catch of fish which they had caught;
10 ομοιως δε και ιακωβον και ιωαννην υιους ζεβεδαιου οι ησαν κοινωνοι τω σιμωνι και ειπεν προς τον σιμωνα {VAR2: ο } ιησους μη φοβου απο του νυν ανθρωπους εση ζωγρων
and so also were James [Surplanter] and John [Yah is gracious], sons of Zebedee [Bestowed by Yah], who were partners with Simeon [Hearing]. Yeshua [Salvation] said to Simeon [Hearing], “Don’t be afraid. From now on you will be catching people alive.”
11 και καταγαγοντες τα πλοια επι την γην αφεντες παντα ηκολουθησαν αυτω
When they had brought their boats to land, they left everything, and followed him.
12 και εγενετο εν τω ειναι αυτον εν μια των πολεων και ιδου ανηρ πληρης λεπρας ιδων δε τον ιησουν πεσων επι προσωπον εδεηθη αυτου λεγων κυριε εαν θελης δυνασαι με καθαρισαι
While he was in one of the cities, behold, there was a man full of tzara'at ·leprosy·. When he saw Yeshua [Salvation], he fell on his face, and begged him, saying, “Lord, if you want to, you can make me clean.”
13 και εκτεινας την χειρα ηψατο αυτου λεγων θελω καθαρισθητι και ευθεως η λεπρα απηλθεν απ αυτου
He stretched out his hand, and touched him, saying, “I want to. Be made clean.” Immediately the tzara'at ·leprosy· left him.
14 και αυτος παρηγγειλεν αυτω μηδενι ειπειν αλλα απελθων δειξον σεαυτον τω ιερει και προσενεγκε περι του καθαρισμου σου καθως προσεταξεν μωυσης εις μαρτυριον αυτοις
He commanded him to tell no one. “Instead, as a testimony to the people, go straight to the priest and make an offer for your cleansing, as Moses [Drawn out] commanded.”
15 διηρχετο δε μαλλον ο λογος περι αυτου και συνηρχοντο οχλοι πολλοι ακουειν και θεραπευεσθαι απο των ασθενειων αυτων
But the report concerning him spread much more, and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.
16 αυτος δε ην υποχωρων εν ταις ερημοις και προσευχομενος
But he withdrew himself into the desert, and prayed.
17 και εγενετο εν μια των ημερων και αυτος ην διδασκων και ησαν καθημενοι φαρισαιοι και νομοδιδασκαλοι οι ησαν εληλυθοτες εκ πασης κωμης της γαλιλαιας και ιουδαιας και ιερουσαλημ και δυναμις κυριου ην εις το ιασθαι αυτον
On one of those days, he was teaching; and there were Pharisees [Separated] and Torah-Teachers sitting by, who had come out of every village of Galilee [District, Circuit], Judea [Praise], and Jerusalem [City of peace]. The power of MarYah [Master Yahweh] was with him to heal them.
18 και ιδου ανδρες φεροντες επι κλινης ανθρωπον ος ην παραλελυμενος και εζητουν αυτον εισενεγκειν και θειναι [αυτον] ενωπιον αυτου
Behold, men brought a paralyzed man on a cot, and they sought to bring him in to lay before Yeshua [Salvation].
19 και μη ευροντες ποιας εισενεγκωσιν αυτον δια τον οχλον αναβαντες επι το δωμα δια των κεραμων καθηκαν αυτον συν τω κλινιδιω εις το μεσον εμπροσθεν του ιησου
Not finding a way to bring him in because of the multitude, they went up to the housetop, and let him down through the tiles with his cot into the middle before Yeshua [Salvation].
20 και ιδων την πιστιν αυτων ειπεν ανθρωπε αφεωνται σοι αι αμαρτιαι σου
Seeing their trusting faith, he said to him, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.”
21 και ηρξαντο διαλογιζεσθαι οι γραμματεις και οι φαρισαιοι λεγοντες τις εστιν ουτος ος λαλει βλασφημιας τις δυναται αμαρτιας αφειναι ει μη μονος ο θεος
The Torah-Teachers and the Pharisees [Separated] began to reason, saying, “Who is this that speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?”
22 επιγνους δε ο ιησους τους διαλογισμους αυτων αποκριθεις ειπεν προς αυτους τι διαλογιζεσθε εν ταις καρδιαις υμων
But Yeshua [Salvation], perceiving their thoughts, answered them, “Why are you reasoning so in your hearts?
23 τι εστιν ευκοπωτερον ειπειν αφεωνται σοι αι αμαρτιαι σου η ειπειν εγειρε και περιπατει
Which is easier to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you;’ or to say, ‘Arise and walk?’
24 ινα δε ειδητε οτι ο υιος του ανθρωπου εξουσιαν εχει επι της γης αφιεναι αμαρτιας ειπεν τω παραλελυμενω σοι λεγω εγειρε και αρας το κλινιδιον σου πορευου εις τον οικον σου
But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins” (he said to the paralyzed man), “I tell you, arise, and take up your cot, and go to your house.”
25 και παραχρημα αναστας ενωπιον αυτων αρας εφ ο κατεκειτο απηλθεν εις τον οικον αυτου δοξαζων τον θεον
Immediately he rose up before them, and took up that which he was laying on, and departed to his house, glorifying God.
26 και εκστασις ελαβεν απαντας και εδοξαζον τον θεον και επλησθησαν φοβου λεγοντες οτι ειδομεν παραδοξα σημερον
Amazement took hold on all, and they glorified God. They were filled with fear, saying, “We have seen strange things today.”
27 και μετα ταυτα εξηλθεν και εθεασατο τελωνην ονοματι λευιν καθημενον επι το τελωνιον και ειπεν αυτω ακολουθει μοι
After these things he went out, and saw a tax collector named Levi [United with] sitting at the tax office, and said to him, “Follow me!”
28 και καταλιπων παντα αναστας ηκολουθει αυτω
He left everything, and rose up and followed him.
29 και εποιησεν δοχην μεγαλην λευις αυτω εν τη οικια αυτου και ην οχλος πολυς τελωνων και αλλων οι ησαν μετ αυτων κατακειμενοι
Levi [United with] made a great feast for him in his house. There was a great crowd of tax collectors and others who were reclining with them.
30 και εγογγυζον οι φαρισαιοι και οι γραμματεις αυτων προς τους μαθητας αυτου λεγοντες δια τι μετα των τελωνων και αμαρτωλων εσθιετε και πινετε
Their Torah-Teachers and the Pharisees [Separated] murmured against his disciples, saying, “Why do you eat and drink with the tax collectors and sinners?”
31 και αποκριθεις {VAR1: [ο] } {VAR2: ο } ιησους ειπεν προς αυτους ου χρειαν εχουσιν οι υγιαινοντες ιατρου αλλα οι κακως εχοντες
Yeshua [Salvation] answered them, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do.
32 ουκ εληλυθα καλεσαι δικαιους αλλα αμαρτωλους εις μετανοιαν
I have not come to call the upright, but sinners to teshuvah ·complete repentance·.”
33 οι δε ειπαν προς αυτον οι μαθηται ιωαννου νηστευουσιν πυκνα και δεησεις ποιουνται ομοιως και οι των φαρισαιων οι δε σοι εσθιουσιν και πινουσιν
They said to him, “Why do John [Yah is gracious]’s disciples often fast and pray, likewise also the disciples of the Pharisees [Separated], but yours eat and drink?”
34 ο δε ιησους ειπεν προς αυτους μη δυνασθε τους υιους του νυμφωνος εν ω ο νυμφιος μετ αυτων εστιν ποιησαι νηστευσαι
He said to them, “Can you make the friends of the bridegroom fast, while the bridegroom is with them?
35 ελευσονται δε ημεραι και οταν απαρθη απ αυτων ο νυμφιος τοτε νηστευσουσιν εν εκειναις ταις ημεραις
But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them. Then they will fast in those days.”
36 ελεγεν δε και παραβολην προς αυτους οτι ουδεις επιβλημα απο ιματιου καινου σχισας επιβαλλει επι ιματιον παλαιον ει δε μη γε και το καινον σχισει και τω παλαιω ου συμφωνησει το επιβλημα το απο του καινου
He also told a parable to them. “No one puts a piece from a new garment on an old garment, or else he will tear the new, and also the piece from the new will not match the old.
37 και ουδεις βαλλει οινον νεον εις ασκους παλαιους ει δε μη γε ρηξει ο οινος ο νεος τους ασκους και αυτος εκχυθησεται και οι ασκοι απολουνται
No one puts new wine into old wine skins, or else the new wine will burst the skins, and it will be spilled, and the skins will be destroyed.
38 αλλα οινον νεον εις ασκους καινους βλητεον
But new wine must be put into fresh wine skins, and both are preserved.
39 {VAR1: [ουδεις } {VAR2: [και] ουδεις } πιων παλαιον θελει νεον λεγει γαρ ο παλαιος χρηστος {VAR1: εστιν] } {VAR2: εστιν }
No man having drunk old wine immediately desires new, for he says, ‘The old is better.’”
